Mali is a clever, kind, and genuinely caring person. She's a sweetheart and cares about her friends deeply, and would do anything to protect them even if it means endangering her own life. However, with her power, she can seem very intimidating and sometimes scary to approach. She always tries to lighten the mood with her positive and cutesy attitude. On the other hand, in battle, Maline always stays focused on the task at hand and sometimes even pushes herself past her limit to help others. She's a very determined and motivated girl.

She gets teased constantly for acting too nice. She has issues where she lets people walk all over her as if she's a doormat and doesn't do anything to try and stand up for herself. Making her seem like a punching bag of some sort. However, she would brush it off with a smile and keeps pushing forward. Mali refuses to let anyone see her upset, considering how upbeat and happy she is just about all the time. She rather not let people see her in a vulnerable and weak state. Especially during very dark times, she always tries to keep her head high, putting her emotions to the side to help those suffering.

-Crystallokinesis-

Maline can create, shape, and manipulate crystals and crystalline materials in any way she can. There are two ways she can summon it. One is from the ground up. She has to be touching the ground with any of her green tips, or else she can’t summon it. The more green tips in contact with the ground, the more powerful her attacks get. The other way is directly through her hand. Maline would rather not use this method unless under extreme circumstances (being ‘Ungrounded’). For her to do this, she has to eat any type of rock. In a way, it’s like fuel for her power. She can also eat rocks when she summons them from the ground, making them even stronger.

Her crystal abilities are also tied to her emotional and mental state. If she's feeling a strong sense of anger, her crystals will have a very vibrant magenta-purple tint. If she feels a strong sense of sadness or sorrow, her crystals will have a beautiful blue tint.

Maline has a severe fear of not being able to touch anything due to an experience when she left home, because of this she has grown very touch-starved.

Maline has two bold scars on her back due to her first encounter with Crystal Infection.

-Past-
Maline grew up in a business-related family, her parents (Azurite and Opalite) running the crystal company. She is the middle child, having an older sister named Agate, and a younger brother named Amazonite (Amai). Mali had a better chance at inheriting the company due to the value of her crystal composition being better than Agate. However, Agate was enraged by this news, eavesdropping on her parents. Opalite and Azurite pass away when Mali was 10. Leaving her older sister to watch over Maline and Amai. This leaves Mali vulnerable to Agate. She bullies Mali into believing that she's not wanted. That she’s a bother. Even goes as far as to body shame her. About her chest, face, weight, etc. This led Mali to spiral downhill and started to hate her body. Especially her fluff. After 9 years of this, it escalated too far. And eventually, Mali couldn’t take it anymore and did something she deeply regretted later on. She wanted to get rid of it though. Amai walks in on this, comforting and reassuring her of their plan of escaping Agate and that they'll get out soon. However, Agate overhears this. Two days later, they attempt to escape by going through the crystal caverns located underneath the Painite mansion. Agate catches them in the act. And to prove to her that her crystals are way more powerful and valuable, she used a power crystal spell, trapping Amai in a crystal-like prison. Maline, who witnessed this, couldn’t save him in time and ran away out of fear before Agate could do the same to her. Maline broke off this old life and finally got to start over.

- She smells like Lavender.
- Maline absolutely HATES wearing gloves. She cannot wear them if her life depended on them. It creates a huge blockage for her crystal powers. And because her hands are claustrophobic, as stupid as it sounds, it's true.
- She has baby hands.
- Maline can take away an implanted crystal infection from other people. Thankfully the infection does not pass on to her from that said person. However, there will be a stinging pain in her chest that’ll eventually subside.
- She has a small curly fluff on her lower back, acting as a fluffy tail.
- She's known to be a very heavy sleeper.
- Mali is very sensitive to physical touch because of her Taiga-born senses.
