Light Manipulation and Copying Powers
About
Tom has the ability to shoot light out of any portion of his body, though he favors his palms for... obvious reasons. He also has the ability to bend light rays around his body to turn himself invisible. He does not yet have this power in comic.
Tom can also use anyone's superpower, so long as he maintains contact with the power source. In his first superhero costume, he keeps his power stash in an armband around his upper left arm. It's not uncommon for him to put his hand on a Power Pills' shoulder to use their powers.
Physical Effects
Tom's eyes glow slightly when he's using his light powers, just enough to be visible in the dark.
When Tom does not have any other power source touching or in his body, he becomes very weak and shaky. These symptoms went away for good when he got his light powers.
Personality
Reserved . Kind . Loyal
Tom can be a bit of a fish-out-of-water sometimes. Although he is extremely skilled in many different fields, he lacks quite a bit of social skill, having grown up with contact to only one other person his age. He tends to miss social cues. But he's very nice and friendly and is fiercely loyal.

History
Tom was raised fairly normally until he hit the age of seven. It was then that his parents took him in to see where they worked. While there, Tom accidentally bumped into a table holding vials of a very volatile virus. He knocked one of the vials off the table and it broke on him, the virus instantly infected him and when he woke up, he had an empty gnawing feeling inside of him, only sated when he could touch a vial containing the virus paired with something to give it power. Once he learned he could use the power if he was holding the vial, he insisted on becoming a superhero. He was taken out of school to become homeschooled by this company and he trained to be a superhero for most of his life. It didn't begin to pay off until the FBI entered the company with a demand: create a superhero team to take down Future Tech. Tom spent years studying potential candidates for Project S before the team was finally chosen and ready to be assembled.
Tom was able to give Caleb the pill that gave him his powers on October 6, 2014. He continued to study Caleb as his powers developed, needing to step in to help him fight off a trio of bank robbers when Caleb found himself in over his head. Tom informed Caleb that he needed to get ready to do this for the future before leaving once again. He came to help out when it looked like Avery about to be jailed by using his government connections to get a governor's pardon for Avery.
He didn't show up again until, on November 10, 2014, Tom appeared at Dan's musical to give him his powers. He left Dan alone to learn about his powers, but, when it came time to actually fight people, Dan was having a hard time getting into it, so Tom began sending Dan checks in the mail as incentive. He eventually had to step in again when Dan managed to almost get himself kidnapped by Future Tech lackeys. He just barely saved Dan and decided that it was time for Dan and Caleb to meet, even if his superiors forbade him from talking to the candidates without permission. He teleported into Caleb's dorm room and gave Caleb Dan's address, hoping that Caleb would be able to keep Dan safe.
On December 10th, 2014, Tom, on his way to give Merri Bodkin the third pill, witnessed her take a fall, spraining her ankle, which was not how he'd initially planned to give out the pill, but he saw his opportunity and took it. Tom snuck into Merri's apartment and gave her the blue pill. He then vanished, only to resurface longingly watching Dan, Caleb, and Merri bond before he was almost seen by Jason. Tom managed to escape unseen, but he deeply wishes he could join them.
As the new year rolled around it came time once again to distribute a pill to a new candidate. Tom was able to use Kristy Eda's desperation to escape from her chronic insomnia to get her to take the orange pill. However, due to the orange pill's powers being incredibly subtle, he was allowed to bring Kristy directly to the Power Pills rather than letting them get together on their own. He enlisted the help of Dan and brought him to an art show run by Kristy's friend, Gemma. As he was parking the car, Dan somehow got jumped by Gemma and had his identity revealed to both Kristy and Gemma. By the time Tom showed up, all he had to do was prove to Kristy that she does, in fact, have powers now. Once proven, he brought Dan and Kristy to Caleb's dorm before having to leave the group; no longer allowed to talk to them.
