Michael is an optimistic and friendly young man, with bad anxiety that he hides rather poorly(despite his best efforts.) He came from a somewhat-developed settlement, raised by his two parents as an only child. After a tragic incident involving his best friend, and an increasingly strained relationship with his parents, he decided to move to another, more rural settlement. It was nice for a while, at least to him, but he had never felt very close to the other members of the group and felt more like an outcast. After around a year or so, he met Damian, a passing traveller, and ended up leaving with him to get away.
Michael is tall, just about six foot, with absolutely no muscle or bulk of any kind to make up for this fact. His hair is long and curly, reaching to about his elbows when down, and definitely would be much longer if he cared for(or had the means for) straightening it. He's pale and covered in freckles, and his clumsiness and awkwardness has also littered him with quite a few scars. He has a round, kind-looking face, with large eyes and a long nose that he thinks doesn't fit the rest of him very well. He dresses with most of his skin covered, both out of necessity and personal preference. His hair, however, is neatly kept up despite him thinking it looks infinitely better down.

He met Damian when the other man happened to pass through his group's settlement, staying there for a few nights to get back on his feet. Michael found him interesting and, desperate to get away from the tension in his current group, decided to leave with him. They're both awkward, but. [expand soon]
