Etzel is a kindly older warrior, and while he may not be out dueling in the field any longer, he's still full of wisdom for the younger lions to learn from. He's enjoying reflecting on his life and taking things one step at a time, taking things as they come. However, he also still wants to be able to contribute to the Regiment where he and his sister live now, and although his sight is not the best, he's able to wander around the camp, train young lions, and gather herbs now and then. Really, he pushes himself a bit too hard - he's always trying to do something as thanks for the people he cares about, even to the point where he really should have been asleep several hours ago.

He loves his sister more than anything in the world, and every moment of this life he gets to enjoy is a blessing.

History

Etzel and his sister Devi have been warriors their whole lives, so they have a lot of experience to bring to the Regiment. The two were raised by harsh parents who wanted their children to learn the ways of the world. Their parents sent them out at a young age to find their way through the world. The two took care of each other through this sudden adventure out in the land, and they made their way through it bravely as they could.

The two siblings spent some time in the forests of Sunglow, hunting food for themselves and bravely making their way forward. After many months and years, however, the two were slowing down a bit - Etzel especially. His eyesight was worsening, and he feared for his future if he couldn't see. What would he do with himself?

Luckily, Devi had a brilliant idea. She searched around for groups of warriors, and eventually heard of Starheart's Regiment. She told Etzel of this group of lions who fought monsters in the darkness, and suggested that he go there with her to help offer advice. Eztel said yes, and so the two made their way there. And there they still stay.
