Solitary and ambitious, Irinei has no close friends, choosing instead to focus on amassing wealth to fund his dream of becoming a pirate. He wants to buy a ship but has not considered that to be a sailor you need a crew and skills such as swimming or knowing how to sail a boat. None of this troubles him, as he's shared this dream with no one and has therefore not recieved any constructive criticism. He is a burglar, stealing gems and gold and fleecing it with the assistance of a contact in the gnomish mafia.

Irinei and his littermates were left outside of a monastery on a rainy day. He was taken home by a potato farming couple who had stopped by to pray for good weather. They were very surprised when their kitten grew up to be an actual, you know, person but did their best to raise Irinei the same way they were raising their human child. He's always felt grateful to them for not giving him up when they realized he would be a huge financial drain on their household and sends money home, daydreaming of buying them a fabulous mansion. He feels no connection to his ancestral roots and resents those who treat him like they would a cat.
