Caz Puplat

Backstory

Most probably the son of poachers, Caz was taken in by the Eagle Laguz clan after his parents were killed. When he was younger, he was disregarded by many in the tribe as a dead weight and as nothing but trouble, claiming that he was no different from the rest of his kind who hunted tribes like the Eagles for sport and to mine the precious minerals in their homelands without interference. He tried to find his place as a soldier when he secretly trained to use a bow that he found in an abandoned poacher camp, even though bows were the worst taboo of the already frowned upon Beorc weaponry. He was found out, the bow was destroyed, and Caz was left shunned by all but a few in his tribe. A few weeks after this incident, hunters equipped with military-grade equipment attacked the home of the Eagles, Pyll I Puplave. A teenage Caz was left behind to die as the young and elderly were ushered away, the guards believing that he was the reason the Beorc found their home. Refusing to be cowed, he managed to ambush a hunter, take their bow, and fought back against the invaders. His main achievement, at least in his eyes, is that in the battle he found others that were left behind and unable to fight, gathered them all into one cave,  and using his bow and heightened senses for a Beorc protected them from the attack. Not a single person under his care died that night. The invaders were driven off, though with heavy Eagle casualties, and Caz's fate was decided: He would be exiled from the tribe for using a Beorc bow, as heroic as his actions may have been. Before he left, however, those that he had saved and their families presented him with a cape made of feathers, a symbol that he would in their hearts always be a part of their Convocation.

Present Day

After a fateful friendship, Caz finally decided to do something about his situation. He's now begun a movement with his friends and allies, the Meihua, and together they're fighting for Unity between the Beorc and Laguz.
