Profile

Name: Allumette

Gender: Female

Species: Human

Age: 14

Status: Deceased

The wind seems to chill every time she's around.

A mysterious French girl who's often seen aimlessly wandering around for fun.

Allumette rarely ever says much. It's kind of justified, seeing as English isn't her first language, though she knows enough to carry a small conversation. Allumette's always very curious of the world around her, and will often stop at certain points to look at some plants or to observe some people nearby. She's also rather oblivious to context, happily telling people that, 'You're dead! We're taking you!". She also has a tendency to walk into dangerous situations and somehow come out unscathed, even without intervention from her friends.

Relationships:

Ari Feiron: "He seems sad."

Melody: "She pats my head a lot."

Pepper: "He stops by sometimes."

Henry Mortimer: "Papa?"

The only thing anyone knows about her past is that she was found dead on a snowy night. Not even Allumette herself is sure how she got there, and it never really seemed that she had any family she remembered at all. Perhaps that's why she got attached to Henry so quickly when he arrived to bring her to the afterlife. Since she had no recollection of any family members or any particular preference for an ideal afterlife, she remained in the limbo for quite a while as her fate was being discussed.

The decision to move her with other children her age from her time period came quickly, but Allumette was too attached to her newly adoptive father and her friends to leave. Now she occassionally follows her father around while he's bringing dead people around, and sometimes does some of the work herself.

random facts:

Allumette was designed in an attempt to try and have a unique character purely for aesthetics. And then the character stuck.

Allumette's cloak was given to her by Henry, and someone else designed an outfit to go with the cloak.

Her name means 'matchstick' in French. There really isn't any connection to actual matches, but in hindsight her death played out like the death of the matchgirl in that one Andersen fairytale. It's a coincidence I swear-
