A demon assassin whose M.O. is kind of unpractical.
Pepper's a happy-go-lucky demon who tries to have fun as much as he can, and especially in his job. Even if his job is being as assassin. He tries to quip one-liners before murders and it sometimes allows his targets to get away. Despite his outlook, he isn't a sadist, and doesn't find joy in killing people. To him, it's just a job, and he's just trying to find ways to spice up the murders as much as he can. Out of his job, he's still peppy and energetic, and treats everyone around him like friends.

If you ask Pepper what spurred him on to take up being an assassin, he'll just tell you that it seemed fun, and he still finds it fun. Despite having a lot of technical knowledge regarding murder techniques, he still prefers to use his baseball bat solely out of preference. And he still has accidentally left people alive to tell their tale about that strange masked person that just tried to beat them up in a back alley. Really, the only reason he hasn't been caught by authorities in the living world is because he's a demon and can just peace out if he ever finds himself cornered.
No one knows what's under his mask, or what he does outside his job. Most people just assume that he chills out in some café or fast food joint somewhere, but his location is never consistent.
