Character
Notes
- He's a kleptomaniac and frequently steals small items from just about any place he goes. (If he's ever been in someone's house before, chances are he has stolen something from them.)
- The cross he wears is all he has left of his mother, and wearing it makes him feel as though she's always with him :(
- Luca is his father, though neither of them even became aware of it until Kelley was sent off to live with Romeo
- He's extremely gifted in math (the only school subject he actually enjoys) and is in the most advanced math class
Kelley Clooney
Appearance
Hair: Black hair with a white "skunk stripe" down the middle, usually styled into a pompadour, almost always has a thin mustache and/or a few scruffy chin hairs
Eyes:Black and quite wide
Build: Short and thin with pretty much no muscle definition, and has a fair amount of body hair.
Scars/Body Modifications/Other distinguishing features: One gold earring in each ear.
Clothing: He likes the "greaser" look, and almost always wears cuffed jeans, t-shirts (white, black, or grey), and a black leather jacket when it's colder. Occasionally wears flannel shirts (short or long sleeved) as well. Always wears a necklace with a gold crucifix, which belonged to his mom.
Personality
Disposition: Usually a laid back and happy-go-lucky type of person, Kelley can easily find a way to fit in and find common ground with pretty much anyone, and likes to just go with the flow most of the time. He'd much rather play the role of the sidekick rather than be the one in charge. Neither shy nor especially talkative, he has a fairly easy time making conversation with people and generally doesn't try to He’s also a bit of a hopeless romantic and develops crushes on people very easily, for things as simple as showing him the slightest amount of kindness. He has issues with self-esteem and an intense fear of abandonment, and because of this he gets quite attached to the people he's closest to, and becomes tense/angry with them if he gets the sense they're going to "leave him." (Whether in a romantic or platonic sense.)
Mannerisms: He tends to grin a lot, whether he's actually happy or not, with his smile looking a lot more phony & uncomfortable when he isn't in a good mood. His facial expressions are quite animated (especially his eyebrows!) and his moods are usually easy to read. His posture while in public comes across as a bit nervous/shifty (particularly when he's alone), possibly as a result of growing up in a bad neighborhood, and if he's not smoking a cigarette he prefers to keep his hands in his pockets.
Voice: He sounds pretty much like what you would expect him to: a John Travolta in the Grease movie sort of voice XD, though his is a little bit deeper, and he has a thick Brooklyn accent. (Says "th" sounds as a "d"...like "dat" instead of "that" and such.)

Background
Kelley was born and raised for the first half of his life in New York city. He realized from a young age that he was unwanted, having been the result of a horrible night his mother would rather forget. And after losing her to suicide he was left in the care of his aunt, who saw him as a constant reminder of his despicable father. Throughout most of his childhood he was passed around among members of her family to be temporarily taken care of, never living in the same place for too long. It made him angry and he acted out, ending up hanging out with some older, "bad kids", and often getting into trouble. By his preteen years they had had enough, and in 1985 were able to make contact with Romeo, the only available member of his father's side of the family. Much to their surprise he was willing to take him in and Kelley was sent off to Los Angeles to live with him. He "mellowed out" and quit misbehaving so much once he had a more stable place to live, and soon met and befriended Maverick at school.

Maverick Best Friend
From the first moment they met Kelley liked Maverick, and he knew they were bound to be friends. He has been by Maverick's side ever since, and though he knew it was only meant to be a casual thing when they started sleeping together he couldn't help developing some romantic feelings for him, too. Still, he thought he could handle it, up until Maverick suddenly decided to cut him off when he started dating Yoshi, that is.
Romeo Uncle
While Kelley is always grateful to his uncle for taking him in, feeding him, and giving him a place to live he still doesn't like him too much, but they get along well enough. Mostly he just thinks Romeo is a creep and doesn't appreciate the weird, inappropriate comments he sometimes makes about him or his high school friends.
Luca Father
Kelley never wanted anything to do with his father and always hated him for what he did to his mother and how he was brought into the world, and when his uncle told him more about him (and that he was in prison) he felt even more ashamed to be his son. He was once offered the chance to say hi to him over the phone, but refused to do so.
