Yenica is an extrovert, which is quite the opposite of her quirk's nature. She's equal parts haughty and friendly, and loves 'figuring out' people. She's excellent in leading conversations without making anyone feel left out, and doesn't feel burdened by attention, regardless if its the good or the bad kind. She finds it really entertaining to get funny reactions out of her friends, and would often tease them especially when it comes to romance. She has a bad habit of making strangers squirm with 'harmless flirting'. She's also very eloquent and witty due to her family's influence, and can engage in sarcasm and dark humor when prompted. Because of her interest in fashion and slight boyish charm, she's more popular among the girls in her school. Yenica got her cheek scar during an accident in her youth, wherein she fell while enthusiastically practicing acrobatics in the playground.

During hero or work studies, she can act both offensively and defensively due to her quirk's versatility, but does lean a bit more towards a support/ambush role wherein she has the advantage. She's an excellent asset when it comes to strategizing and reconnaissance, and is adept in thinking on the spot, calculating gains and losses, and raising her team's morale.

Quirk: Arcane Thief

Hero Name: The Crafty Hero, Vannix

Van from the word vanish which represents her ability to erase her presence + nix from Nyx, the greek goddess of the night

Yenica's quirk gives her abilities similar to that of a master thief from DnD/rpg games. She's crafty, agile, stealthy and adept at close combat, which includes the use of melee weapons like knives and batons. She can erase her presence and become almost invisible, or manipulate her presence so that she's easily 'forgettable' to people she just met. With the right technique, she can even overwhelm an opponent a lot bigger and stronger than her.

Her quirk has a 'supernatural' aspect which requires direct contact; Yenica can temporarily steal physical and mental attributes from others to empower herself. It works similarly to stat bars in video games. For example, if the opponent's base strength is level 5 while she's level 3, she can 'steal' 2 levels from the other person to increase her strength to level 5, while decreasing the opponent to level 3. She can steal skills (ie. think Sims) but not entire quirks, and the effect is determined by how much she wants to empower herself, her stamina and body's max limits, the duration of contact, and the nature of the skill she's trying to usurp.

Yenica can also absorb a person's current strongest emotion or will. Thus, she can cause her opponent to lose their will to fight, or calm a person by erasing their feelings of rage or despair. The downside is that she receives the full brunt of the person's emotions, which can be good or bad for her depending on the kind of feelings she usurped. Usually this is a skill she uses only when truly necessary due to the large backlash. Multiple uses on the same person can also cause long-term psychological damage.

quirk drawbacks

Quirk overuse can lead to severe muscle fatigue and internal bruising. 'Borrowing' complex skills or abilities that exceed what she can safely handle will damage her body after her quirk's effect is lost. Thus, she has to be very careful and smart about her quirk use (ie. she can't become as strong as All Might, even if temporary!). Depending on the intensity, absorbing a person's emotion can also include some of their thoughts, but in a fragmented form; this can really confuse her, and make it harder for her to expel her quirk's effect.      

Relationships

Mayumi [ best friend ]

They met at a community dance class at age 10. They became fast friends, and went on to attend the same elementary and junior high together. As a native speaker, Mayumi helped her become fluent in English.

Levin  [ close friend ]

They went to the same junior high together with Mayumi. Whenever she gets carried away with her 'teasing', Levin is there to stop her if Mayumi isn't present. They spar frequently since his quirk is a natural enemy of hers.

Inasa  [ classmate ]

They are in the same hero class in Shiketsu High, together with Levin. Because he's very boisterous and passionate, she frequently has to rein him in (even using her quirk) to make their teamwork more effective.
