Just like her own mother she would sing lullabies for her daughter at night, after her passing Crowsong would find herself singing alone to comfort her heart in a world turned against her.

About

Weepingwind was a sweet, kindhearted and helpful cat respected by all and admired as a strong, capable warrior. She and Raveneye were always close and were expected to lead the clan into a promising future until Crowkit was born. Due to all clancat's reactions and shunning the small kit, alongside Raveneye's resentment towards them both left Weepingwind devastated and she closed her heart to everyone, including herself.

She blamed and questioned herself for all the suffering she and her daughter endured; failing everything she was meant to do and become. Deep down she also blamed her daughter for it, the guilt and heartbreak made her push Crowsong away instead of taking responsibility in being the mother her daughter so desperately needed.

The birth of Crowkit

Raveneye and Weepingwind made several attempts to conceive kits but to no avail, every litter was either stillborn or no pregnancy at all. Reaching older age they both had began losing hope; fearing their bloodline would end and the dream of becoming parents shattered. Miraculously Weepingwind became pregnant and they were overjoyed when all seemed to be going well but it all changed when the small, pale kit was born.

After becoming isolated and shunned for the birth of Crowsong, on top of having lost so many kits over again she fell into a deep depression; eventually leaving her malnourished and falling ill beyond saving. The rest of the clan would allude to Crowsong being the blame for her death, especially Raveneye. This in turn messed with Crowsong's mind even more after already having lost the only somewhat caring figure in her life.

Relationships

Despite everything she still loved her daughter so much, her whole life she had longed for a kit of her own and with so many past, failed attempts her kit had been a miracle but also a curse. With no understanding of why they'd been left with such a tragic fate and the resentment and pressure towards her and Crowsong from both Raveneye and the rest of the clan broke her mind and soul. She cared for her daughter but each day every moment with her grew more painful and it was not long until she could hardly bear to look at her anymore.

She also loved her Raveneye deeply; his heartbroken hostility made him distance himself from his mate and daughter and it crushed Weepingwind beyond words. They had once been inseperable; young sweethearts and lovers since they were apprentices. Now they were like strangers, forced to live with heartbreak and broken dreams.

All bonds with other clan members were damaged or severed too and she became isolated and even ridiculed by cats such as Carrioncall. Many were scared and uncertain of the clan's future, especially being a dynasty and what would become of their future and with the many tragedies that followed they would see Crowkit as the cataclyst to it all.
