About

Shadowfern was the skilled and versetaile healer cat of Corvidclan until the incident that took the lives of him, Smokeveil, Sootspot and Coalclaw. Stormwhisper was given to her care as a small kit by a group of cats passing by on their travels as they were unable to care for her in the harsh conditions of leafbare.

She spends most of her days in the Nettle-nest caring for wounded cats or making medicine. He also enjoys wandering off to find the required materials on his own or together with Stormwhisper. Her favourite plants include moss, ivy and ferns, because of Stormwhisper's love for nettles that plant has also gone from being unliked to a favourite.

Relationships

Him and Weepingwind were quite close, and together with Smokeveil they made up a small group that stuck together during downtime. Shadowfern would sometimes come along on their patrols; sharing his wisdom in plants and bugs along the way.

She seldom recieved signs from Starclan but also lacked faith in them; not understanding how long passed cats could bring and determine life-changing events anyway. It wasn't until right before Crowkit was born that unease started to loom over her coinciousness as well as dreams.

Guilt, peer pressure and fear had him push Weepingwind away, as well as being unsettled and scared of whatever the future might hold for them and the clan. Despite their falling out Shadowfern still tried his best to heal Weepingwind as her health was deteriorating, but no herbs could cure her wounded heart and soul.

Role

His interest in herbal teachings was a slow development and not a part of his life until a bit into apprentice training to become a warrior. An general interest for plants and bugs grew but it wasn't until Omensky received a sign from Starclan that the cats around him started to realise the potential the young cat held. Shadowfern would combine all sorts of insects and plants to create efficient healing mixtures and he would go on to teach Stormpaw what he had discovered as well as pass on the lessons she was once given as an apprentice.

Stormwhisper had to watch his death as he was defending his daghter with all his might until the clan returned to help fend off the enemy but in the end bled out in her daughter's small paws.
