Story

Tl;dr: Local tenacious dumbass enters a pact with a magical sword granted to him by an Archfey in a moment of desperation after ending up in the Feywild, then subsequently ends up failing to experience 7 years on the way back. Left with gaps in his memory pertaining to some particularly messy decisions made while in said Feywild, he's spent the last 2 years on the run from his former friends and employers in the Court of Truth. Bo is making slow strides to recallibrating his moral compass alongside the half-orc bard embodiment of Sunshine, Larkspur, though the two are partners in sometimes literal crime. What he does remember clearly from before his jaunt across the planes is unsettling, what bare minimum he remembers from the Feywild itself isn't much better. He is sorely lacking in context as far as his pact is concerned, and so far his patron has mostly chosen to send him information in the form of slideshows and unsettling dreams. Please be his friend, he needs more of those, and frankly he could use the backup for everything he's trying to outrun.

Whats your family life like?

Bo's early life was by and large unremarkable. He was a clever kid with a penchant for sticking his nose where it didn't belong even as a kid, and that was more or less encouraged by his parents. Born across the sea his mother, a tiefling, was an esteemed performer who had since left the stage. His father is more famous still, a published drow scholar whose life took him all over in the search of knowledge. Bo takes after him more than he might like to admit, and both were unmoored by the untimely death of Bo's mother. Unable to stick around a home that felt incomplete without her, Bo's dad decided to set back out on the road to process his grief. Bo, feeling bitter and similarly restless left as well, but headed in the opposite direction. He has not seen his father since, and Bo is more than a little scared to admit to everything he's gotten into

What the hell is a Court of Truth

A closenknit fellowship striving for power and the truth to the mysteries of their world. Made up of people from all walks of life Bo found companionship in them after setting out on his own and realizing that he needed support to make more than a con artist of himself. The Court of Truth prizes intrigue and discovery, but increasingly became prone to leveraging threats and making powerplays that could destabilize regimes. Bo's partnership with them spanned a fair few years, affording Bo resources that he could turn into gains for the Courts leading members. More than once Bo played a part in their less savory displays of force across different kingdoms. However, their growing strength and willingness to wield it tested the limits of what Bo was willing to be part of, and he began making plans to extricate himself along with his research. Fondness and an attempt to reason with the members he was closest with tripped him up, and he found himself on the end of a very short, very watched leash. Backed into a corner and feeling flighty Bo did what he does best— make a reckless, messy decision pay off.
