BACKSTORY:

Ryder grew up in a tribe of wild dragons in the mountains, where he had a happy upbringing and a caring family. However, he eventually decided that he wanted to experience new things, and travelled to a big city. Unfortunately, he learned that the city's residents weren't particularly trusting of non-humans, so Ryder struggled to find work or make friends.

He ended up meeting Frederick, a vampire who had successfully gained the trust of the city's king. Frederick offered to let Ryder work for him, which helped the young dragon become more accepted in the city as well as finding a purpose.

PERSONALITY:

Positive: Friendly / Loyal / Helpful / Open-minded

Negative: Sometimes reckless / Easily bored / Dependent

Ryder is a typical young dragon in many ways - brave, loyal, and occasionally hotheaded. However, his impulsive traits are balanced out by a keen mind and high emotional empathy. He can even be considered wise. In social settings, he'll either be a quiet observer or an energetic participant depending on the situation. He finds structured environments boring, and would struggle in school (if he ever went), but he does enjoy learning.

Ryder is a very friendly person who tries to be nice to everyone he meets. He would much rather make friends than enemies. He's a good listener and doesn't mind letting people vent their worries to him as long as they don't expect him to solve all of their problems. He hates being alone and likes helping people - without purpose, he feels lost.

DESIGN:Ryder is a medium-sized purple and white dragon with a muscled build. He has orange eyes, large curved horns, and hooked spikes.

RELATIONSHIPS:

Frederick

Fred is Ryder's boss, but also one of his closest friends. They met when Ryder was struggling to stay afloat and Fred offered him work. Nowadays, Ryder is one of the people Fred trusts the most.

River

Ryder's older sister. She often watched over him when he was younger and more prone to getting into trouble. He loves her dearly and doesn't mind her occasional nagging.

ABILITIES:

Like all of his species, Ryder can shift between dragon and human form at will.

He's a fast and agile flyer who finds complex aerial manoeuvres rather easy. His strength is average for a dragon his size.

TRIVIA:

- Like most dragons, he has hoarding instincts. In Ryder's case, he likes to collect dice.

- Is thinking of getting a tattoo, but hasn't yet.
