Jericho

Jericho is a quiet fisherman who is quite used to being alone, with his job he can be alone at sea for weeks at a time, so he's grown used to his only company being the sea. He loves his job, and his boat, and values his independence and working with his own two paws. When he's not at sea he lies in an old lighthouse he helped restore back to active use, which is kept dutifully by his wife, Luna. His fur is often encrusted with salt or ice, and he often appears quite intimidating, but deep down he is a big softie. Jericho will often hire on people from the town to work on his boat, even if he doesn't need the help, and he is very sweet and loyal to those that he cares for.

Luna - Wife
Jericho used to be much more standoffish than he is now, and Luna is the reason why he's been able to open up more and start to be more social. Connecting with her made him realize that no man is an island, even if he's typically surrounded by the sea. He dotes on Luna, and cares very deeply for her, and as such is very protective of her. He met her when she arrived on dry land, injured and dejected, it broke his heart, and he never wants to see her the same way again. Now that she is recovered, he feels so lucky that they had a chance meeting and he was able to help her heal. He loves to spend time with her, and listen to her stories about the underwater mothcat culture, even though he knows its unlikely that they will ever get a chance to visit. He enjoys living a quiet life with Luna, even though he misses her a lot when he's out at sea. When they can find someone to watch over the lighthouse, he loves taking her with him on his fishing trips.

Carol - "Colleague" and Friend
Jericho and Carol are both mothcats of little words, and partially because of this they get along quite well. They very rarely see each other in person, but often communicate via Radio, sharing weather conditions or other local hazards, news, and sometimes just chat when the mood strikes them. Jericho finds it quite comforting that Carol is only a radio call away, even though he's used to being by himself with nothing but the ocean surrounding him, its a comfort to know someone is out there. He also finds her knowledge of stars and navigation very interesting and useful, he's used to having electronics help him navigate, but with her influence has been studying up on how to navigate by the stars. When they get together in person, they can often have long conversations about the fine details of boat life and navigation, to many people he's not close to, seeing Jericho have such an in-depth conversation is quite a rarity.
