Rodger Gizanis

Rodger is a medic, being an expert in the medicinal field and Tortunian anatomy. Growing up he had a huge fascination for the body and general anatomy of people and creatures, and in turn made it his career to become a healer and doctor. He had grown up with his grandparents after a freak accident that ended up killing both his mother and father, but his grandparents were very dismissive and provided the bare minimum in terms of love and care. Due to this, he always needed attention and had been desperate for it. He often chased down any semblence of approval throughout his childhood and teenage years. He never took rejection lightly, either platonic or romantic, and after a while he had become bitter, pessimistic, and most of all incredibly desperate to be loved.

He met Gracey Diliam when she’s on the brink of death after a Zadok Dream Monster invasion that wipes out most of the local town, and nurses her back to health after bringing her to his lone cabin on the outskirts of town. He forms a bond with her quite quickly, and offers to let Gracey move in with him so they could live together as she recovers from her physical and mental injuries. After the course of several months, he eventually falls deeply in love and grows an extreme attachment to Gracey. One night while the two go out to a restaurant, as per Rodger's idea, he gets completely drunk and later after coming home confesses his feelings to her; but he gets rejected. Gracey is just interested in being good friends.

Rodger had already some negative inner thoughts regarding the status and behavior of women and had dealt with previous rejections throughout his teenage years, but this felt particularly different to him. This then sparks Rodger's extreme hatred for women, and his thought that Gracey owes him after all he has done in the form of either romantic affection or sex. This sends him into a horrible downward spiral, and after storming out after fighting with Gracey, he succumbs to the manipulative tactics of Diablo and sells his soul to him.

After getting rid of any sort of moral compass he had left, he starts advancing in a longtime experiment where he wanted to see how to split a body from the head but still keep the subject alive; after Gracey rejects more of Rodger's more unhinged romantic advances, he subdues her and conducts this specific experiment on her. His experiment is successful, but he damages Gracey's psyche and any semblence of a relationship the two had left.

After just a few days, with Gracey making a shockingly quickly recovery after having her head sown back on, she manages to quickly escape while Rodger is in his basement looking over research.

After losing Gracey, and through the grapevine finding out she formed a unique form of a Dream Monster that works alongside her, he sets off to join the Zadok Dream Monster army as one of their dedicated medics and manipulate his way through the ranks, eventually being highly respected right next to Traugott Vanhal himself. While in the army, his insane obsession for Gracey grows larger and larger, constantly watching her moves from a distance, and even being instructed to spy on her by Traugott; unbeknownst to Traugott himself of Rodger's insane obsession with her regardless.

After being in the army for quite some time, he becomes ousted and thrown out after Traugott hears of his goal to completely take over and rule himself; from there Rodger roams the world until running into Gracey for one final time.
