history
Since the end of the Reckonin' at Gun Manor DLC, Spence continued to act as Florence's trainee and apprentice, eventually finding a way to peacefully banish the ghosts in his hometown. He is no longer scared of ghosts and tries his best to resolve their conflicts peacefully instead.
Since Florence retired from ghost hunting, she passed down her service to Spence, who continued her job. His travels around the county, and eventually out the state, led him to discover the shadows when they first began appearing. He was recruited by the Shadow Interception Terminators, where he would work as their main field scout and fighter.
Spence would ask Ivy for help on particularly difficult quests, and it's during one of these quests that Ivy first encounters a shadow beast, and Spence tells her about the organization that he joined to stop the shadows.
Notes
- He looks back on his old days and laughs. It's hard to imagine he was so scared of ghosts as a 17-year-old.
- He still regularly keeps in contact with Florence. He offered to send her cuts of his earnings, but she declined.
- [kid from SoL train murder voice] Marriage? No. When you love your work, you'll never work a day in your life.

Design Notes
- The bleached spot on his face was during one of his jobs, where a ghost blew up in a blast of ectoplasm. It stained his face, but fortunately, he was wearing his goggles.
- His badge reads "C.G."
