Iro
As a reincarnated hero, Gin and his compatriates have stopped aging at their primes. This is also where his unnatural hair and eye colors come from.
Poisonous Assassin
Gin is an assassin; he specializes in one-hit kills and ambushes. He favors poisons and it's generally not safe to accept a gift from him.
Fluid Form
His appearance is inconsistent. Although he likes wearing silver, if he's in disguise he'll drop it. His acting is less impressive than his stealth so it's possible to see through him.
About
Gin is playfully chaotic, eschewing reliability for his childish persona. He refuses to take matters seriously regardless of their importance. What's the point if you're not enjoying yourself? He has few morals besides loyalty and can hold long grudges over those who've hurt the people he cares about, even when its hypocritical of him to do so.
The Hundred Clans Era
Hiromu was a child of the Tanuki clan, one of a hundred animal-totemed clans that hid themselves from the mainland and worshipped Lord Crow in exclusivity. This society sadly met its downfall at the hands of the warlord Eki, who stole the power of the gods to oppress humanity. Lord Crow urged the clans to send their most formidable heroes to defeat Eki but ran their souls ragged in her distress and caused the exhausted souls of the clans to die out completely. Hiromu and his brother's companions, known as the Iro, made it as far as Eki's castle gates before they fell.
Gin of the Iro
He was reborn as Kiyohiko, the oldest son of a priest. Although his former comrade Daidai was soon reborn into the same family, Gin had little attachment to his new identity and he soon left home to search for his original brother Kin. They were able to regroup and, with fresh bodies and new resources, defeated Eki once and for all.
The Rainbow Era
Having accomplished their foremost goal, the Iro were asked by the deities to settle down somewhere they could not wield undue influence. As reincarnated people, they had been blessed and ordinary people would be helpless to fight against them. They moved to a remote corner of Shikoku and declared themselves a sovereign nation, staying entirely out of any affairs outside their small borders. After founding the Gin clan to police the others, Kiyohiko took on the title of Gin as his sole name. He stayed impartial in the various conflicts, preferring to harass Kin.

Kin [ twin ]
Gin's older twin brother and the king of Niji. He's changed a lot over the years, but knowing he's around steadies Gin. It'd be better if Kin let go of his responsibilities.

Kuro [ enemy ]
A former comrade and a fellow clan leader who Gin despises. Kuro is responsible for the deaths of two people Gin cared about, solely to preserve his insignificant plans and pride. Gin won't forgive him for that, but he also won't make it Kin's problem by killing Kuro himself.
Haruka [ subordinate ]
A responsible young woman who's served under Gin for most of her life. She tells him she has fondness but not respect for him. He probably deserves that.
