Grim is a reaper who lost his scythe

Grim is like an innocent child in every sense of the word. Given how he hasn't interacted with the material plane all that much, everything is brand new to him, meaning he might obsess over seemingly random things for hours. Not to mention, he sometimes forgets that the material plane follows some specific rules, known as the Laws of Physics, and can just...occasionally show up out of nowhere, or in places he really shouldn't show up in. But he means no harm for the most part: Losing his scythe has forced him to use less violent means to bring souls to the underworld, meaning he's adopted an overall more friendly and approachable personality, aided by his more cutesy appearance.

Supposedly the Grim Reaper himself, he alledgedly lost his scythe when he was sent to reap the soul of Jack the Ripper, who in turn stole it. From there he spent approximantly 80-90 years existing in a limbo, still trying to do his job as Death but struggling due to lacking the means to catch more resistant souls.

This all changed when he caught wind of a band in the works: Batless, it was called, and it desperately needed a drummer. Seeing a chance, Grim responded to the ad, getting in contact with Richard to possibly get a material body so he could feasibly exist there. He agreed, and thus Grim was summoned into the Material Plane, in his current body. He was the drummer for them up till the band collapsed, which afterward he both tried out all sorts of musical instruments and followed Richard around like a lost puppy, hoping eventually he'd get his opportunity to snag back his scythe from the one who stole it before...

The soul who should have been dead well over 100 years ago.

Fun Facts:

-Was quite camera shy at first, to the point that he straight up did not show up in any photos taken of him. Least to say, paparazzi attempts against him were quickly squashed.

-On that note, he can also vanish from mirrors and shadows. Least to say he's pranked a few people with this. 

-Derek and Berry were such bad influences on him....

-Actually has a lot of respect for Richard, and after the band broke up served as a "guardian angel" of sorts...except if the guardian angel wasn't tied down by the morals of whoever they were protecting.

-Has a girlfriend of sorts in Molly.

-Has actually been kicked in the pelvis by Derek once. He didn't react at all (mostly because he doesn't even have balls)

-Makes terrible puns and jokes on the side, usually with Richard being the victim of his comedy

-Can moan really, REALLY well.

-When leading souls to the underworld, he usually summons forth a collection of band-themed souls he dubbed "The Black Parade".

-Has a sense for when it's time for souls to pass on. Actually getting them to pass on, though....

-Most outfits he wears nowadays are marching band themed.
