Heyo!!! Much like other people I would just like to notify y'all I'll be participating in (with?) Artfight this year! at least, to the best of my extend! It seems like a lot of fun and it's really nice to see everyone be so stoked about it ^o^
I still have work and some personal stuff so I might not be the fastest but I'll be doing my best!

What do you think OCs will look like in the future?
I know that's a rather broad question, but hear me out!

It's obvious OCs nowadays are way different than they were in 2010. Or even the early 2000's! We used bright colours, made them emo/scene and drew them fighting in some forest. Nowadays characters like these are still being made, but without the influence of things like Neopets and old animes there still is a notable difference!

Like this drawing of a character I adopted! It's from a base, but one that's violently early 2000's and is definitely influenced by the things I mentioned above!
And what I find interesting is that nowadays a lot of people are focussed on giving a character a lot of decorations and texture/materials!

Like, resin with sparkly particles! metals! a bunch of pins and hair clips! detailed patterns! sparkly goop! It's absolutely fantastic ^o^
I like looking at them and imagining what it would be like to hold them in my hand as a little figurine, which I think is kind of the point with the textured characters?
I think the main difference between then and now is now people got inspired by other content creators and slime toys. Like @Seel with their Chimereons! Or Lupis Vulpes! And all the fantastic Warrior Cats animators!

So like, with these themes in mind, what do you think the future will look like?

Who's a character of yours you think about, rp with or doodle often, but doesn't have a very big TH profile or a lot of content?

These are mine! They have high importance to my stories and I think about them daily in fun little scenarios that I never get onto paper.
I also have a lot of traditional doodles laying around of these guys who I just never got around to uploading on Toyhouse!

I do plan on expanding their profiles and to give them a funky code,, but we'll see when that will actually happen lol

My main gang is under construction rn! I'm trying to give them a new code because their current one looks pretty broken.... ^o^'
Lucas currently is the only one with the updated code! It's made by Sealkitty and can be found here

I'll first finish editing the main gang but I'm planning on using the same code for Shun, James, Damien and Ned!
I'm also thinking about using this code for more minor characters or characters with not a whole lotta info..... there are some important characters with a lack of info tho and it also feels like an injustice to give them the lesser code..... hrrnnn... I'll have to sleep on it a few times!

I'm not too sure yet but aaaaa I'm so RP starved right now..! I'm mainly just afraid no one will bite and the server is going to be dead within a week :'o0
Would anyone be interested in that? 

On my first server the first plot we had going was about everyone's character(s) being sucked from their story/world into this foreign new world and they all had to work together to get back home.. and I was thinking about doing that again? Seeing how everyone is so creative and diverse with their characters and stories!

I'm totally up for making new characters or other roleplays in the server too if it means having a buddy to rp with lol
but I'd love to hear y'all's take on it!

I just realised the new one looks bigger when you compare it to the old one, but it's actually gotten smaller! I wanted the place to feel more humble and like a massive small town.
I also made some other variations of the map like height, lake/river names, underground public transport lines and provinces... but I'll spare y'all the spam until I figure out how to properly put that on Toyhou.se haha ^o^'
Not too sure on whether to make a character with split tabs for Auterhol or if I should dig into like... funky folder htmls. If you have any suggestions, I'm all ears!

For now I'll just have to leave y'all with all the town names <:o)
The Lowells (Lucas, Lance, Liam, Maaike) live in Gardendam while the Outteridges (Pip, Donut, Dawn, Luna, Osiris, Lil' Anne.... George) live in Ginds.
I still have to decide where some places are going to be like the Amir Meer Research Facility and The amusement park Lance works at.. but we'll get there eventually

I know this sounds silly and I should probably do it but I'm asking for advice anyways.
I lost contact with a close friend this year and the whole ordeal has just made me really cautious about friendships and who I can build on, so ever since we parted it's been really hard to connect with anyone without getting overwhelmed or giving up. I dealt with the issue first around June and only recently have been getting back on my feet over it.

idk... I'm just scared I'll get overwhelmed again or be intimidated by how large the group is that I don't end up interacting with anyone.

what do you guys think?

I privated them until I find some proper use for them/make solid art for them. 

I don't believe you'll be missing much..! I only privated unimportant family members, characters with only a sketch, shallow background characters, old characters and characters I have to find a use for again after shifting some story stuff.
I can't bring myself to delete them so for now they'll just remain in the background... I'll notify y'all when they return <:o)

besides this I've also been meaning to make some more town folk and redesign Auterhol as a whole! I want it to be smaller and cosier... like one big, tiny village

it was still pretty outdated so I kinda had to change it ... oop. I removed the cover art I made for it ages ago (because my Gods that art was old), updated the story startup and put in little clickable images of the main gang.

Pippetto was convinced to post his pictures online by Donut, and Lucas replied.
Donut and Pip ended up chatting with Lucas and Liam for several years.
They hadn't shared what they looked like in real life yet, but after discovering they live in the same country,
They decided it was time to meet up.
With their bike and public transportation, Pip and Donut made their way over to the Lowell's house, and met their brother Lance along the way.
Once it was time to meet Lucas and Liam though, Pip's anxiety got the best of him and he gave in on his flight reflexes.
The whole group, Donut, Lucas, Lance and Liam, followed behind him. Trying to get him to stop running and calm down, but it wouldn't work.
The whole thing got more and more heated once Lance had something to say about it, until one of them noticed a little hole, mid air.
The strange thing exploded open and several, inky hands reached out for ANYTHING to latch on to.
The gang got snatched and dragged in with the blink of an eye...
When they awoke they were faced with a whole new dimension and among the rubble, the thing that dragged them in.
Shrunken down into its weakest form.
He appeared to be nameless, and he promised to guide them through several dimensions to get back home...

Little did they know, each dimension had something special in store for them.

I also keep forgetting to like, infodump about the place with little funfacts because //O_o// if my ADHD brain doesn't see it, it completely forgets it's there at all

I hate to say it, but lately I've really been feeling discouraged to post on my main account on Tumblr...
I don't know why but Tumblr has become very unironically anti (name of literally any big country) and no matter how many people I block, that just seems to have become the general humour norm of the site.
And I thiiiink I got a death treat because I use British English..? ...I mean, I got told to shut the fuck up and to die right after answering another anon about it... so I think that's what sparked that..?
Just.... I really don't need that negative energy right now.

So is there like... another platform to maybe consider?
