A collection of related incidents that take place after Turn, hellhound, turn, around 67 years ago in a distant valley that once served as a home to the Andraste family.
Aristedes is left astray with his family's fate remaining unknown, but he is not alone. Mordreaux, a strange knight untouched by time, is there to advise the confused seer, and much more.

In fall of 1235, after a brief but tumultuous imprisonment under the Order's watchful eyes, Lasair is finally free to return to Faline. Accompanying her is Vilas, and the once enemies now find themselves in a strange, unfamiliar situation with neither having known much freedom in their lives. There's only the house, the past, and all the thoughts that refuse to quiet down.

Takes place in summer 1234. Old memories keep haunting Mordreaux in the wake of the Endless Spire's emergence, but after Lugh wakes up to keep him company in the face of another sleepless night, the two decide to finally address things that have been eating away at them.

Everything is going as well as anyone could hope, until a grim revelation unexpectedly breaks the sense of hopelessness the whole family had lulled themself into for years.

Set in the past. With Aristedes' work as the protector of the valley a thing of the past now, the two leave the familiar lands in a search of new purpose. Their journey to the next town comes to a sudden halt though, as men with ill intent take note of the two travelers.

Medea and her friend Llyr are trying to find their way back to civilization, when they're happened upon the much-corrupted Antioch and the determined Malmr and Lugh. Intentions clash over Medea's fate, unable to see eye-to-eye.

Takes place three days after Receive what cheer you may. Mordreaux pays a visit to Ari and Hvass to acquire his much needed prophecy, but it is hardly the end of Mord's need of the two like they hoped it to be.
