ABOUT
Pegmatite is a Universe based around gemstones and minerals, characterized by a deep-rooted mistrust between the Birthstones, the first lesser gods born and the members of the council Pegmatite, who rule the Universe. Each Birthstone is in control of their own Geode, an association of facets (dimensions) under their banner that answer to them. The current conflict revolves around the sheer power of the Tourmaline Empire as it encroaches on the other Geodes, threatening to send the Universe into a potential war.
Beyond politics, however, Pegmatite citizens suffer a horrible fate at the hands of druzy, a terrifying illness that warps one's body and mind into the perfect growing habitat for giant, magic-sucking crystals.

tourmaline empire (pink tourmaline's geode)
The military powerhouse of Pegmatite, the Empire has taken over more land than any other Geode. Self-sustaining and saddled with a happy populace, its power and stability is nothing to sneeze at, especially the stark lack of druzy within its (lived-in, at least) borders. Pink Tourmaline presides over his Geode with respect and dignity, assigning his fellow Tourmalines to nepotistic positions of importance while delegating unwanted tasks to other lesser gods.
diamond allied facets (Clear diamond's geode)
One of the major world superpowers, the DAF is ruled by Clear Diamond. Bustling and technologically advanced, xenophobia against the other Geodes is rampant and unchecked. Despite its military power and Clear's political influence in the Pegmatite, the DAF has stagnated in recent years, relying more and more on imports from other Geodes in order to sustain its luxurious lifestyles.
PLATINUM GARDENS (amethyst's geode)
One of the smallest Geodes by population, Platinum Gardens is more of an elite gated community than a nation. Comprised of only a handful of Facets, of which only one is dedicated to agriculture, its people reap the benefits of Amethyst's sheer power as entertainment and news powerhouse of the Pegmatite. While he keeps the other Geodes at bay with threats against their reputation, his people rest easy and blissfully unaware of druzy.
the holy lands (EMERALD'S geode)
Despite their name, most members of the Pegmatite look on Emerald's Geode in disgust. Riddled by druzy to the point where most infrastructure has broken down, Emerald has dedicated himself to the idea that druzy was actually a gift sent from their creators, signifying ascension and happy bliss brought on by the amount of magic that druzy members consume. The suffering has worsened to the extent that outside of the capital, the cult's headquarters, a small rebellion appears to be brewing.
the UNITED TURQUOISE GEODE (blue turquoise's geode)
The unification of two Geodes, brought on by the forceful marriage of Blue and Green Turquoise, the UTG is a steadfast pastion of propaganda and mind control. The word "druzy" is kept firmly out of the vocabulary of the mortals, and outbreaks are quickly quarantine and contained. Most residents suffer through near-slave-labor conditions, struggling to generate the materials and weapons the military needs to expand their conquest.
Jargon zircon's geode
Quiet and humble, Jargon's Geode prides itself on its abundance of resources and exports. It rests in the shadows, simply tending to its slowly-amassing wealth and economic influence, its populace sated and happy. Despite how peaceful it is, the Geode has very little power in the overall Pegmatite, mostly able to tweak politics through Clear Diamond's need of its products.
Olivine's geode
Struck hard by the druzy outbreak, Olivine's Geode quickly collapsed, the major cities falling apart. Once suffering under the weight of a powerful class divide that strung the wealthiest communities against the slums, the entire Geode has been rendered into tiny, scattered communities struggling to even provide clean water and food for their citizens. Clear Diamond and Almandine Garnet have both sent ambassadors to the Geode to prevent Pink Tourmaline from completely overtaking it.
GEMNIC FEDERATION (BLUE SPINEL'S geode)
The Federation is the most advanced of the Geodes, featuring excessively-high technology that the others can only dream of. It does not share its bounty with the others, instead keeping every drop of technology under such lock and key that the other Pegmatite leaders don't even know how far it's advanced. Its people live in decent conditions, although the tech is more geared for industrial purposes than for strictly pleasure.
the opal alliance (mimosa opal's geode)
Isolationist and obsessed with their own values, the Opal Alliance cares about one thing: the structure and wellbeing of the Opal class. Ruled firmly by Mimosa, the graceful and dignified leader, it is a quiet and reclusive Geode, with laws denying any sort of immigration or power to lesser gods of other classes. Due to this, it is silent in world politics, preferring to settle its own economics and politics within their own borders.
