[ANGELS AND FASHION] is fairly simplistic, yet elegant. The standard for linen and satin robes are fairly forgiving, the only way you can break the rules for proper angelic fashion is to wear shoes or pants. The robes aren't meant to be restrictive, they are supposed to be loose and freeing. Robes are typically either black, or white. Angels of the [ANGELIC COUNCIL] dawn blue accents in their robes, or dawn blue cloth to signify their status and role in the ether.
In the case of violating these fairly simple rules, most angels will be made to change, though in particular cases they can be relieved of this warning. The Archangel [Gabriel] can be forgiven of this misdemeanor due to his position as an angel, this otherwise will not be acceptable.they also gave up trying to fix it because he doesn't care. The Virtue [Hope] is another violator of these rules, however due to his physical condition, his clothes are meant to protect and shape his form accordingly. He has accommodations.
Asides from robes itself, angels also dawn metal based jewelry! Primarily consisting of-- nut not limited to-- horn caps, wrist and ankle cuffs, chokers/necklaces, and circlets, these pieces are entirely pure and have no other additives: [ie. jewels.] Bells are also worn, as they are a symbol of prosperity and good blessings.
Certain pieces belong to certain groups of angels for specialties. Satyr angels typically dawn gold, whereas bird angels wear brass. This isn't due to separation of groups, this is because gold is heavier than brass, and satyrs are typically stronger than their avifauna friends.
At the end of the day? Nudity is also acceptable :] it is common and acceptable in the Ether.
[WELCOME TO --> THE OBSERVATORIES]
This is where all of the [VIRTUES] conduct their main work, as they watch ARA from the glass window on the floor. Since their work consists of maintaining the weather, they make sure that the planet is spinning and keep everything hunky-dory. Angels from the THIRD RING report back here to have their findings recorded, and [POWERS] manage the works of those that skitter around in these libraries. Marble and
glorious, they are little islands that store relics of history and tell the tales of the cosmos. Stories are scribed and guarded, weapons are shelved and so too are artifacts- when collected. Everything that an angel needs to know is all in here, mostly
[WELCOME TO --> JUDGEMENT HALL]
The table of the ANGELIC COUNCIL sits here, this space is meant for lower ranking angels to report back, of course there will be high ranking angels passing through but that will mostly be to enter the COLOSSEUM. Special weapons, old artifacts, artwork- all of the sort is stored here, for whatever reason- Eden keeps some portraits of angels from before the GREAT FALL...
This is the entry way to the Colosseum.
[WELCOME TO --> THE GARDEN]
Once being the main plaza for where angels would roam- this cozy envionrnment no longer has as many angels frequenting as it once had. It was a resting space, places where angels would regroup to and relax in between times of work, [CHERUBS] would lead their flocks to rest in shifts, teaching and answering questions. The area that was once used to text lifeforms and what could possibly be place on ARAis often referred to as the Sandbox, not all angels were prohibited to enter this area, only [a certain choir] were given this special task in the beginning. The hole in the very center of this island acted as an angel landing site, to enter and exit the Ether and to leave or return to ARA. This port led directly to ARCAIA before the region was destroyed- and then became SIOA.
[WELCOME TO--> MERCURY STADIUM]
This was the hub of all creativity and innovation in Heaven. Musicians, painters, potters, carpenters, and all the more would gather and thrive. Archived, this sky island was once in commission- and is apart of OLD ETHER. Angels used to create all sorts of things before THE GREAT FALL. They used to preform shows- musical and theatrical- creating portraits of each other of the earthly terrain of ARA, sculptures, pottery- even going out of their way to craft instruments. However, due to the ban on self indulgence, the stadium has been closed permanently. These days, it's really only used for [DOMINIONS] as they are required to supply armies of soldier angels with weapons for wartimes, and soldier-healer angels to study and practice their form.
It's a sad shell of itself.
[WELCOME TO--> THE HATCHERY]
[THE HATCHERY is the RULER's main office, where they often reside.] It acts as their office- but the name of the key point resonates with the fact that incubating stars are kept here. All angels originate from a star- whether they were donated from a god or plucked from the cosmos, they would manifest and become what they are now, only- they "hatch" at their own pace. Some angels take years, centuries, others may not take so long.
Even with the COUNCIL having its own key landmark, [THE HATCHERY] is a private space that is welcome to an exclusive few.
[WELCOME TO--> THE BATHHOUSE]
Apart of OLD ETHER, [THE BATHHOUSE] is first main islands that goes to serve the needs of angels after a long day, while [THE GARDEN] serves as a resting ground- [THE BATHHOUSE] is a space of relaxation and healing. Perpetually zen and tranquil, this is an angels own personal heaven, its like an industrial sized birdbath- the water is as clear and clean as crisp mountain air, blessed by the archangel Raphael, the water itself holds healing properties- if an angel was to be deeply wounded- taking a rest in the bath could easily bring them to tip-top shape. These days, soldiers come to wash off their bloodstains and injuries, no matter how many angels cycle in and out- the water runs and purifies itself. [Enchanted and divine,] this sky island is the central fount for [HOLY WATER.]
[Recorded in human history- there have been fabled angel sightings, even legends of gods walking among men, and to be completely honest- that was probably the THIRD RING angels being absolute shitheads.] Remaining on the planet ARA to often carry out their work, these angels are warriors, soldiers, and messengers out on the battlefield, they hunt demons and stand as silent watchers that blend with the crowd, who knows if there is one nearby or not. This sphere of celestials may be more brutish or rambunctious as they spend more time around humans- but also gives them a more flourished sense of humanity.
[PRINCIPALITIES] take orders and lead in war- right alongside the [ARCHANGEL]s. They and [DOMINIONS] work together to ensure that the military is fine and fortified, they run around the mortal planet and make sure that low ranking angels are doing their jobs, keeping them in check. Pretty much like- babysitters in a sense.
[ARCHANGELS] are high ranking, being in the THIRD RING doesn't mean they are any lesser, if anything- they are right with the [FIRST SPHERE], they- alongside [CHERUBS]- can guard after sacred sites, they are competing with [SERAPHS] in power and strength and renown for being messengers of their [LORD]. There aren't many but considering their skillset- there is no need for an abundance, they can hold their fort and are great guardians.
[ANGELS] are a very flexible group and the lowest rank in the hierarchy, they can be: watchers, soldiers, messengers. They are able to specialize in most things but never mastering it, jack of all trades but master of none. They are told what to do and- do it.
[Where the FIRST RING brings orders directly from the RULER themself, and the THIRD RING carries work out on the mortal planet ARA, who does the in between work?] Unsung heroes, they take care of all the little things that go on behind the scenes. Who delivers the messages from Heaven to Hell? Who makes all the rain and wind? Who makes sure that these armies of soldiers are training? Who are getting orders and bringing them to the masses? WHO CLEANS UP AFTER ALL THE LITTLE CATASTROPHES? [SECOND RING] angels. 100%.
[DOMINIONS] are like [PRINCIPALITIES] but- primarily remain in The Ether, they regulate lower angelic choirs and act as managers that make sure work is being carried, more so- they train soldier angels and also smith weapons. They prepare for war.
[VIRTUES] work in the OBSERVATORIES and record the happenings of ARA, they make the weather possible and on behalf of [THE PAINTER] and [MR. MOON]- they make sure that the planet is still turning. Their observatories have hubs of angels flowing in and out- gathering intel that they may need.
[POWERS] take up some dangerous work being the ambassadors of Heaven- speaking to demons especially in a time of war and intensity could more than anything result in having your wings being put on display in hell, they risk their lives to negotiate and settle agreements- war planning and making meetings, sending warnings, doing work that other angels may look down at them for having to work alongside infernals on the behalf of heaven. Of course, these days leading up to the peace treaty- they've had to do more honest work under this... new management.
