The Orange Sky Above

Two countries, Rii-Yeres and Gerte are at the tail end of a war which has devasted both and brought little good to either. The war is not officially over yet but fighting has stopped a year ago and both countries are reluctantly working towards peace. Ammidst this backdrop we follow travelers, each with their own reason to keep their life on the move, as they interact with communities working to rebuild.

Humans exist in the world, living alongside lizardfolk who mainly make their home in Rii-Yeres and the horned people of Gertte. Magic however and supernatural forces are thought of as merely superstition, if that, despite many leftovers in both countries' cultures from a time were belief was more prevelant. And this disbelief is warrented, the immortal beings who used to live alongside the mortals and be seen as gods have for a long time now lived in a seperate realm where mortals are not welcome (though one stumbles in every once in a while).
