My Worlds & Stories

A vaugely steampunk world with fantasy elements full of disconnected stories of daily life, adventure, and a whisper of change on the rise.

Two countries, Rii-Yeres and Gerte are at the tail end of a war which has devasted both and brought little good to either. The war is not officially over yet but fighting has stopped a year ago and both countries are reluctantly working towards peace. Ammidst this backdrop we follow travelers, each with their own reason to keep their life on the move, as they interact with communities working to rebuild.

Humans exist in the world, living alongside lizardfolk who mainly make their home in Rii-Yeres and the horned people of Gertte. Magic however and supernatural forces are thought of as merely superstition, if that, despite many leftovers in both countries' cultures from a time were belief was more prevelant. And this disbelief is warrented, the immortal beings who used to live alongside the mortals and be seen as gods have for a long time now lived in a seperate realm where mortals are not welcome (though one stumbles in every once in a while).

A vast fantasy world overflowing with magic. Great cities are built on remnants of dead gods and even grander civiliztions fall at the whims of time and chance. What begins must end only to begin again, the cycle spins endlessly. And at the center of it all, a knight faces the one she is fated to kill. A god sees the one that she loves. A mortal, the one who will destroy her. A choice is made, as it has been made before and will be made again over and over. One day that choice will bring the cycle to an stop.

It is not yet that day. The stories we follow in this world are set in two different ages:

The old world before the war of the gods where the queen of the night still rules the gods from her silver tower. The pheonix lord is establishing a city that will become a legend, the empire of frost is leading it's armies on a charge that seems unstoppable, a young princess is about to have everything she knows to expect turned on it's head, and a child makes an unexpected friend.

The new world where the sun god reigns supreme. The knight who will kill her is yet to learn her fate, a woman makes a deal with death, a group of fae concoct a scheme as they watch a mortal wander their lands, defenseless, the city of fire finds itself worshiping ashes, and as it always is - a child makes an unexpected friend.

An announcment is playing on large screen in the middle of a busy intersection. People pass by it, some stopping to listen, others giving it little attention, zooming past on their hover scooters. It's giving an update on the news - the first alien contact has been confirmed. Experts are being brought in, a committee is being formed, discussions on how to approach this delicate sitation are being had. Far from the city center, down many side streets, a cafe is playing a different channel on a much smaller screen, flickering from age.

"-and of course we can't forget the big news of the week! That's right, it's almost that time again - the great bi-annual intragalatic space race is happening in just 3 weeks right here in our very city. Later on we have Farhaana Rajesh, one of the key figures in making sure the race keeps happening, along with another surprise guest, on to tell us a little about what's been done with the race track and give us a run down of what to look out for this year. But first! I have here in my hands a list - the finalized list of entrant to the race this year being revealed right here on our show for the first time. It is my honor to introduce our racers this year-"

A young girl looks at a starry sky and makes a wish. She doesn't speak it out loud, she couldn't dare. She barely dares to think the words, even alone as she is with only the stars to hear. The stars hear her anyway, as is it turns out she is hardly alone.
