Changes from Canon:

-The shade is very active and a constant threat to the gods and dragonkind in this version of Sornieth. "Shadeblighted" individuals are often ostricized from clans and live most of their lives in a state of mental distress and uncertainty.

-A phenomenon known as affliction has been affecting dragons and beastclans alike. Affliction causes the individual to mutate in bizarre ways causing them to take on traits of other creatures. This can progress to the point of the individual become a feral threat to those around them though other cases have been benign. The world is split on whether this is a natural occurance that is the next step of the ever changing world or if this is a shade brought malady that needs to be dealth with. Some dragons and beast tribes have taken it upon themselves to deal with indviduals who have been afflicted regardless of the severity of their case.

-With the return of Aethers to Sornieth, there has been an emergence of individuals who seem to have been taken host to something from outside of Sornieth. whether this is caused by the shade or something else beyond the stars having been brought to Sorneith by the crashed shuttle is currently unknown. The newness and strangeness of this anomaly has only added to the general feelings of unease in Sornieth. With the appearance of more and more ancient species created by the gods that can hardly be called dragons by most, the general consensus is that Sornieth is on the verge of another cataclysm.

-there are individual dragons and other entities that have been born into the world with almost godlike abilities. Whether these individuals are actually decended from or created by the 11 varies. What is known for sure is that these individuals weild powers far beyond mortal dragons.

-Dragons in the "Modern" folder exist in an au separate from the rest of my lore in which Sornieth has advanced technologically to the point of an electronic heavy, futuristic setting.

-Characters in the "Magical Girl AU" folder exist in an au separate from the rest of my lore in which Sornieth is populated by humanized versions of dragons as opposed to feral dragons and magical girls exist to fight the shade and witches that channel it's power
