I wonder how long I was away from home. did you worry too much? I'm sure you did; that's just your nature. but I'm sure, before I left, that you knew about the possibility... and I'm sure that after I was gone, you probably knew, too. I just hope you haven't forgotten about all the rest. you'll be okay. I love you. I love you very much. goodnight, papa.
it's alright, Lugnut. you've worked hard enough--too hard, maybe. I wish you would have stayed. I knew you never would have. so wherever you ended up... I'm sure you made good. you've always made me proud. goodnight. I love you.
thank you for taking my hand. I like being your friend, too. thank you for taking care of PIP. if you have him, it's like we'll always be together. so let's learn a lot more together.
thank you for teaching me. i like what you tell me. i like being your friend.
I don't know much about pigs. I know that they are remarkably intelligent, I think. more so than people believe. I would not want to underestimate you, Ms. Suidae. in any capacity. humanity included.
I don't know much about rabbits. I've made robots a bit like them, before, but not in much but form. I'm not sure what would make someone a rabbit. they're prey, much like mice, right? but between the two of us, I'm not sure you're the one who fits that description, here. but really, aren't we both just human?
I'm not sure what makes someone a rabbit either, Ms. Barlow. Do you think we're born into being prey, or is it something developed later in life? Were you always a mouse? Or did you start human, and decide to make yourself smaller somewhere along the way?
I don't know much about wolves. are the others like your pack? if this was about hunting, I would think there are more efficient ways to do it, Mr. Canidae. so I'm not convinced that's what this is. every person wants something. what is it for you?
rarely does anyone get what they want. wouldn't you agree?
i get the feeling you've been shoved into lockers before
you'll find I'm a bit tall for lockers.
graphic design! that's a fun one. making things look appealing is so challenging sometimes, but it can be really important! first impressions matter a lot to people. what sort of projects do you usually do? are there some things you like to work with in particular?
Woah, A roboticist? That's really cool! Wait, does that mean you make robots or just work on them?
As for projects? Logos mostly. I can crank those out in minutes. Though I take just any client in terms of design.
If you got a robotics business that needs one, let me know! Maybe in exchange, you could take a look at my Roomba? It's been acting weird lately. :/
eeh? I mean, can you really be an ultimate if you're not a geek about something?
[ ??? ] Great... another geek...
oh, yes!! that's right, I do! some of them are big, but some of my favorites are quite small! I like to think they can do cool things--I can introduce you to whoever you'd like! ah, if it's not too much trouble, we could do an exchange: I don't know much about origami. but it's marvelous how much you can do just with paper! will you show me? I think I'd learn a lot!
Ah, a robot... ticist? Do you make robots? Are they big? They can do cool things, yes?! I want to meet them!
oh! thank you! there are all sorts of applications to robotics, yes! I've made quite a few for entertainment purposes, and some of them can create some pretty unique effects! if you tell me what sort of things you'd like to do, I might be able to help you make something. I'm sure you could make quite the show, miss hart!
Huh. That’s actually a pretty cool talent. I’m not good with all that technological shit, but I hear you can get some pretty good special effects on stage with it…
a cheerleader! that sounds like fun, working to help encourage people! do you mostly just cheer for one team in particular, or have you cheered for a few? if you ever wanted to incorporate something a little unique into a routine, I'd be happy to help, just say the word! aah, with robotics and effects, I mean—I couldn't possibly advise you on anything related to cheering itself, I'm sure!
a surgeon! that's remarkable work. people are quite fiddly, you know—machines are, too, but if you mess up a machine, you can always rebuild it. people... less so. I'm sure you've done a lot of good, dr. nakajima! I think I could learn a lot from you! inspiration for machines comes from all over, after all!
ooh, you plan weddings? I've never been to one, but I know they can be pretty involved affairs. you must have quite the eye for detail, miss iglesias! to set everything up just right, and then sit back and watch as things carry out—well, that's sort of like making a well-functioning machine, you know! tell me: do you have a favorite wedding you've done? or setting, or anything? I'm interested to know what helps set things apart in your mind!
ooh! thank you, miss aganad—that's so kind! I'm sure you've worked hard to get where you are too, doing something so high stakes... I think that's pretty inspiring, too! and, you know—it's never too late to study something new! life is all about learning, be it in an academic sense or otherwise! if there's something in particular that interests you, maybe I could help you find somewhere to start!
Oh, you must have studied so hard to get where you were! Academically or in the field, your progress and achievements are admirable! As someone who always thought about education as an afterthought, I always had my regrets for not continuing my studies. Seeing you, so young and accomplished...it's inspiring, dearie.
i don’t know much about robots. i’ve never seen one… but my brother liked to read about them. can you tell me something about them..? i don’t know what i could give you to say thanks, though…
oh, I'd love to!! robots can be rather different from one another, so it can be hard to generalize, but... oh, maybe you'll like this: there's a branch of robotics called 'swarm robotics', which is focused on small machines meant to emulate insectlike behaviors. they're rather simple and ineffectual alone, but become more capable in a group! isn't that remarkable? here, you don't have to give me anything—I'd be delighted just to exchange information! I've never been to america or a place like your park, so please tell me all about it, and why you like it!
oh, very mysterious! I do love a puzzle. can I have a hint? you seem remarkably graceful -- are you a dancer of some kind? I don't know why that would have to be a secret, but I guess it could be unrelated. oh, but, of course, if you aren't at liberty to share, you could always tell me about something else!
A… puzzle? I am no puzzle. I don’t think I’m very good at dancing. I don’t think I’ve ever tried. You seem smart. Kind. Do not waste your time uncovering me. I don’t even know what you’d find.
ooh, there are a few musicians around, aren't there? ah! I think I know your music, actually—people like to use it in videos and stuff, don't they? I tend towards longer form content, so I haven't used it myself, but it tends to get stuck in my head for a while after I see something that does! say, what sort of programs do you use to make all that?
O-M-G! Yeah, totally!! You've probably heard "Puzzle Pieces", it was pretty big on Tik Tok for a while heheh... Honestly, the tech-y part of it isn't too much on my side of things, I've got someone who does that for me, but all of the videos and social media stuff are aaaaaall Maeve, baby!! Why don't you do some vids with me and I can teach you the works?
hey, my, uh, my -- my, my... i'm tooootally a robot, and there's tooootally something wrong with me, hahahaha...i-i-if only there were a... a tall... a tall roboticist girl around that could help me... haha... something wrong with my systemmmmm.......................................................................................... actually, can we just pretend that i didn't say that?
ehehe! you're cute. I'm not sure I'm seeing any problems from up here. but, you'd probably have better luck with someone else, though, anyway. sorry! but, hey, while you're here—tell me. have you ever really... well, in all your hunting, have you ever /really/ seen a ghost? a real one? I'd like to know.
A...roboticist, right. Well, we have more than enough here already. Do not plan to make any more. I would hope that you are cautious not to cross any lines which would put us humans at risk. I do not care much for technology, let alone robots. Maybe there will be other things for us to talk about.
ah? well, I hope to make things for the sake of humanity, mx. liang, so I certainly hope not to cross any lines. it's a shame you aren't a fan of them. robotics and technology can provide such a wonderful perspective. ah, but, of course, to each their own. I'm happy to talk about anything else, even if it's outside of my wheelhouse. I can't say I know much about fish, for instance. or frogs! so perhaps you could teach me?
You are the Ultimate Roboticist, yet neither of the robots here are your creation. I suppose they're getting soft with these titles.
well, there's plenty to robotics beyond sentience! I tend to deal in the more practical. the robots here are wonderful, but a little bit outside of my preferred purview. I think that maybe you and I have some things in common, doctor seo. maybe we can learn from one another. title or not, there's always room for improvement, wouldn't you say?
no. but your allergies are unfortunate. at least you can look at them through pictures.
aah, flowers! I have some rather fierce allergies, so I haven't spent a lot of time with them, personally, but I do find them wonderful to look at. one of the small marvels of life, maybe. do you have a favorite? to grow, or just to look at?
