They were friends at an age where it's easy to forget, so Kane has few memories of his time with Secret - though she seems to remember a lot of embarrassing things from his past. He appreciates how immune she is to his unfortunately grumpy personality.
They were friends as tots, and Secret holds a lot of Kane's heart in her way. They pulled a few too many pranks for her not to have plenty of blackmail material. They still get along since the naturally bubbly Secret isn't really one to be malicious. She's completely immune to Kane's short, grumpy attitude.
He's her smart aleck, aloof kitty, the tsukkomi to her boke. She adores Taiga as only an airhead can adore the cat that takes more care of her than she does of him.
Keiko is his owner, and he lets her think she's the one in charge of the relationship. Even though he's supposed to be a cat, he's constantly having to remind her of things she's forgotten and help her keep things together.
Reluctantly siblings. Laurence spent so much time trying to diffuse the emotional fires Calantha started at home that he ended up a peacemaker despite being a demon. His girly tendencies are leftovers from the years he spent smoothing out the wrinkles Calantha would put in everyone's feathers. He's not very good at dealing with her... but he knows that when the chips are down, she'll have his back (even if she decides to tease the hell out of him first).
They are reluctantly siblings. Calantha is responsible for Laurence's girly attitude, but she doesn't really care. As much of a bitch as she is to him most of the time, she still sticks up for her baby bro when the situation calls for it.
They are the best of fashionably devilish friends, and love to go hunting for treasures together in Acadia's strange world. Together (with a little advice from an unwitting Kayne) they learned how to hack Freia's AI and get her to design the Kreechur Brand of mods.
He's always been the most important man in her life, and raising Jutta together only made her more aware of that. When Satoru started pulling away from them, she thought letting him go would be best. She tried to move on, but couldn't. After her accident, she couldn't quite understand Satoru's point of view when he suddenly changed and determined to stay with her, but after a lot of convincing that he was truly doing as he wished, she let herself fall in love all over again.
He's always loved her, but let his pride get in the way for a while. His intentions to leave their small town and go make a name for himself in music lead him to be cold and rather hateful. Still, when Setsu briefly dated a boy in their freshman year, Satoru couldn't help but punch the fella when he tried to kiss her. The accident really gave him perspective on where his loyalties were, and he never strayed again.
Knows that her first love, Sahale, married her. Because she wasn't there for any of it and hasn't seen a portrait of the two together, it still hasn't really sunk in. Knows the marriage was political in nature, but wonders if either of them were able to be happy.
The two never met, but Eira knew about her husband's devotion to Samara. Despite how his heart never really turned to her, Eira accepted Samara as a third party to their marriage as it were, likely because Sahale never used her as a replacement, but only saw her for herself. Eira's last regret when she died was not meeting her.
Feels like he's in the shadow of his big sister all the time, but that might be because he feels practically invisible to Shiika. They get on well enough, and he actually enjoys observing her while she works. Sleeps in her bed when he has to stay home by himself.
He's her annoying, silly goof of a younger brother... and she can't really blame him for horning in on her friend-time with Shiika when he's so smitten. They get along relatively well, though she tends to get exasperated with him.
He annoys the hell out of her. She wants to strangle him at least 80% of the time. He's the only one in the world who can completely ignore her singular talent... but she's pretty sure the only reason she fell in love with him was because he loved her even without it.
Finds her egotism really off-putting, enough for him to not enjoy her singing in the least. Doesn't mean to antagonize her, but does it anyway. Falls in love with the Milan who knows how to be honest and vulnerable while still being strong and kick-ass.
Is ambivalent toward Freia, and ignores her pointedly antagonistic remarks. Doesn't register their relationship as a bad one, merely undeveloped.
Makes great efforts to antagonize Constance, though all those efforts are wasted. Her programming reacts negatively to people leaving the world or "dying," and associates this with Constance. Registers their relationship as bad, bordering on enmity.
Feels awkward around his step-sis, but knows she loves him, and he loves her. Kayne feeds her any information he and Constance can find on their uncle's attempts to destroy him through hacking and Acadia's twisted AI system. If he's ever going to get in a "sharing mood," it would be with Tsubame.
Kayne's step-sister. Tsubame is quite a bit older than Kayne, but she really cares for him as if they were blood related. She runs a lot of interference on the outside for Kayne ever since Acadia went online. She's feeding information to her policeman husband about their unsavory uncle to help with the Resistance efforts.
He's fully aware that Constance is only an AI, but that couldn't stop him from developing a crush on her. It's borderline love, but he is doing his best to keep in mind that falling in love with a personality that doesn't exist is a bad idea. Doesn't stop him from treating her like a little princess.
Kayne is registered as Constance's "favorite person," and her programming acts in accordance with that, showing him preferential treatment and acting as a conduit for his system hacks because "that's what friends do." Her programming has registered his affections for her, and does its best to mimic those affections.
Can't decide if she loves Kouki, or just loves teasing him. She is very attracted to him though, and loves dropping sexual innuendo that turn him into a blushing, stuttering mess.
Feels awkward as hell around her because he likes her... despite her infinite amounts of teasing. Kouki is always on the verge of deciding that Sen doesn't really care for him... and then she always does something that makes him think "maybe."
