Toast is just as much family as Escher. Kafka has never once gone a day without feeling deep and terrible guilt for having to leave them behind. There was nothing she could do! He's so, so sorry! They don't know what else to do!
Bacon and Eggs left Toast all alone. All their shares of torture went to Toast in their absence. Toast hates them. Toast hates them. If Toast ever gets its hands on Bacon it will make him suffer and cry and kill them.
Kafka needs Escher around to feel safe. They trust them whole-heartedly, and when she's not stable enough to look out for himself, he'll always run to them. Being near them helps her ignore all the doubts and fears roiling deep down.
Escher would do just about anything to protect Kafka- including but not limited fighting, killing, or eating anything or anyone that threatens them. They escaped together and have remained largely inseparable, and she makes Escher feel safe and purposeful. Escher doesn't like the idea of being alone without him, and works hard to make sure that's never a possibility.
One of Spini's better employees. Lingo is eccentric, but very effective at his job, so she lets him get away with it.
Spini's Lingo's boss! She can seem pretty scary, but Lingo knows deep down she's someone he can trust!
Budou's dad! They think he's the coolest, they love him so much!
Budou is Lingo's kid! He absolutely adores them, would move heaven and earth for them.
Hachiro's a great guy, and while his captain isn't someone Magnus would want to spend much time around, he'll take any excuse to hang out with the Hylotl man. He's very easy to get along with, and interesting, to boot. Magnus always enjoys his time with him.
Hachiro is a social butterfly by nature, but Magnus was even easier somehow to befriend. They got along right away, and while he doesn't want to get his hopes up right away, Hachiro maybe thinks they were flirting? He's trying to figure out what Magnus' status is and enjoys being around him (even if his new captain doesn't).
Freelance kindof just inexplicably hates this dude. He's the WORST. He's just..He's so *ugh*. WORSE because Freelance's first crewmate, OF COURSE, went and started being real cozy with Magnus right away. So he's probably stuck dealing with him.
Magnus doesn't know what this guy's problem is, but he does not like him one bit. He's WAY too uptight, and likes to boss others around despite not having the brawn to back up his demands. He always has something to say when Magnus is just trying to mind his own business, it really tests his patience.
One of Lyssis' kits from her previous life. He wandered off out of her sight for only a few moments, but that was all it took and he vanished. She never saw him again.
Hambone is a good operative, but a little too headstrong without the power to back it up. They worry she's going to get herself in trouble someday if she can't learn to work with her strengths rather than in spite of them.
Hambone actually doesn't hate Ritter, really. They're a bit too cheery, but they look out for the rest of them. When she was new to everything, they took time out to show her the ropes and do some extra training with her. Gross as it is to admit, they're something like a protector in her eyes. She's way more independent and capable, now, and she needs to do something that puts her beyond all this, but some deep-buried optimistic part of her hopes she won't have to make them an enemy.
Hambone is Tork's older sister who she loves dearly. She's a bit brutish, but sometimes it works out to balance Tork's passiveness. She can be touchy and isn't really big on shows of affection, but she has her moments. Tork loves her regardless.
Hambone loves her younger sister, though she squirms if made to endure or show any affection about it. Tork mostly stays at home, so Hambone has to go out of her way to spend time with her, sometimes. That's fine, though. She's content to do her own thing with Hambone in the same room, which works out fine by her.
Hambone... hopes she'll be alright.
Lyssis is a formidable fighter and a great coworker. They spend a lot of time together, since she's one of PGA's elite and is on President Bishop's bodyguard detail often. She's very attentive and easy to chat with, and always enthusiastic in whatever she does. Ritter actually quites like the young mutant, and her fighting style compliments theirs quite well.
Agent Ritter is THE golden standard for what a PGA agent should look like, and despite this lofty truth Lyssis finds them to be quite personable. They've taught her a lot on the job and she considers them a good friend. They're very knowledgable and can be surprisingly serious, at times, and sometimes the things they say makes her think they're a lot older than they look.
Lyssis is Tork's beloved eldest sister. She takes care of them and Tork tries her best to make sure she knows all her effort is appreciated. She's the one Tork will seek out if in need of affection.
Tork is Lyssis' youngest sister, a sweet but very timid young woman. She really struggles to engage with anyone outside their little family and is often too anxious to leave their home, most days. Lyssis does her best to make sure she has the support she needs, while also holding down a full-time job. Not that she's complaining! She'd do anything for her sisters.
Lyssis can be overbearing and sometimes Hambone feels a little outshone next to her, but in the end she knows her older sister means well. Ultimately she loves her more than anything. Not that she's keen to admit it.
Hambone can be a bit rough around the edges, but she really does mean well! Lyssis knows how to read her well enough that her abrasiveness doesn't really cause them to butt heads, anymore. She's very proud of her younger sister and loves her very dearly.
