Twelve is a big teddy bear when it comes to Riff and the team! Riff is very lenient with her, seemingly blind to the fact that Twelve is nice to *only* their team, and very aggressive with strangers. She spoils her quite a bit.
Riff is Twelve's leader who has her undying loyalty. If anything happened to her or any of the others she'd kill everyone in this room and then herself.
Admittedly, VOLA is still just a touch out of Riff's control. Sure, she'll listen in a tough battle, but if it gets too easy she's liable to start trying to provoke a better fight, and that's saying nothing of the trouble she gets up to in her downtime. Which then comes back to bite Riff. She loves the little gal, but she gets Riff hit with a few more extra bills than she'd like.
VOLA thinks Riff's way too goodie two-shoes for a rockstar. But she's a damn good trainer, and with the ambition to get to Champion, she's clearly got the power to show for it. Where else will VOLA find better fights than in the Champion's arena?
Haken is Riff's right-hand man and a very important part of the band! She's been with Riff the longest, and a lot of her strategy is built around her. Loves her a lot, even if her hugs get a little zappy.
Haken loves Riff and trusts her deeply. She thinks she's amazing, powerful as well as truly kind, and the stylishness doesn't hurt. Haken is very, very happy with her life here.
This Waddle Dee keeps following Eve Knight around... they didn't think anything of it at first, then they were annoyed, but now they're kind of impressed. The idea of one of Dreamland's cannon fodder rising up to pose a challenge is intriguing to them. Reminds them a little of someone...
Meddlesome knight! Spear Dee will strike them down for their trespassing crimes, if it takes a million years!!
Atler's not very talkative, Rishloo thinks, but she didn't make champion by being judgmental! He's a powerful trainer in his own right, and has definitely earned his spot, and that, at least, she can respect without issue. Still, something about the guy rubs her the wrong way. She's just not sure what. Maybe it's just that he's cold and she hates to feel like she's disappointing the crowd.
The Champion is peculiar, in a way that Atler might have otherwise sought to make use of. But, she's in the way. Atler appreciates a strong opponent though, and has shown Rishloo as much respect as he can manage. He knows he's not strong enough alone to dethrone her.
Atler is a fine young man! He's done very well to have accomplished as much as he has, and Jess has become pretty familiar with just how tough an opponent he can be through their time training together. She's quite fond of the other Elite Four member, and tries to go out of her way to make sure he's taking care of himself and has someone to talk to.
Atler actually quite likes Jess. She's unconventional and the less wise might underestimate her, but her prowess is not to be undermines. He enjoys small talking with her and training their teams when they have downtime.
A friend from Cloudsdale! Given Therma's moved away, they sorta fell out of contact.
Daphne Laurel is one of Therma's good friends, though they kinda started out hating each other. She was overly critical and Therma overreacted. But when Therma was at a low point, she reached out and showed sympathy, and they slowly formed a bond after that. That same critical nature is now something Therma relies on to keep herself on track and to improve her craft!
Daphne admittedly may not have been the kindest to Hot Dog when they first met. They had a few sour run-ins before she truly started to see the pegasus for who she was. Now, they're good friends who partake in some friendly rivalry once in a while. Daphne also acts as an editor for Therma's writing, sometimes.
Dapple Floret is exactly what Harmony's been looking for all this time. Another non-unicorn who performs magic, and one who has a magical/spiritual problem she can help solve. It's a real puzzling problem, and despite the tragedy of Dapple's situation, Harmony is privately excited for the challenge.
Harmony is an Earth Pony who performs magic, just like Dapple Floret! Despite her situation, it's such catharsis to meet someone else who refused to be held back by the lack of a horn. Harmony knows tricks that Dapple didn't, and they are working to undo her curses.
Agapostemon is only vaguely aware she has another sibling out there. Her father mentioned it once, but was quick to brush off any follow-up questions. She and her father are close, so she supposes if he's not ready to tell her there's a good reason for it.
Agapostemon is Trojan's half-sister, though they're not very well-acquainted. Trojan saw very little of her father and thus, rather little of Agapostemon.
A strange forest monster that wanders into the hive, sometimes. Anthrax finds it fascinating, and as long as it doesn't destroy anything, she doesn't mind letting it pass through.
A fledgling Queen sprung up in Venus' neck of the woods. For a Changeling Queen, she really is surprisingly trusting. Venus has been pushing boundaries wandering through their territory, and she hasn't become aggressive yet. In a pinch, Venus may be able to feed on the young Changelings here.
Poor, silly little pony. Its folly allowed Shade to escape its prison. Perhaps Shade will show it mercy, when it wreaks its destruction.
A pretty little monster Anthrax found hiding in her hive. Her children find it frightening and disgusting, but she thinks it could be useful if she can make it dependent.
Changelings are horrible creatures, in part responsible for trapping its kind in an isolated dimension. This one, however, has proven to be... strange. It has treated Shade with more curiosity than hostility, and has let it stay in its hive. Shade is confused, and wary, but interested enough to stay, for now.
Braidy likes how laid-back this girl is. They're traveling with her on their shared Pokemon journey.
Porfirio would count the Champion as a friend. He knows some of the others don't like her much, but they only form that on surface observations, he thinks. She's strange, and out there, and he likes that that's the person that ended up as the Champion.
Porfirio is a lot like Riff in terms of taste, so out on the fringes that neither can really understand things that are popular. She thinks he's pretty rad, even if he doesn't have the same sense of glam that she does. They're also both pretty young for their positions, so she likes hanging around him.
Rishloo is Wicke's older sister and the current Champion of the region. Wicke has always looked up to Riff for one reason or another, and her current status is just another one to add to the list. She wants to do her proud and be strong enough to challenge her someday-- /really/ challenge her and to make her sweat a little!
It would be easy for Wicke to feel insecure and overshadowed by her sister's success. Sometimes she worries about not being able to measure up, but Riff believes in her, so Wicke focuses more on proving her right.
Wicke is Riff's little sister, and she's just begun a journey of her own. Riff's pretty excited to see what sort of trainer she'll turn out to be, and hopefully she'll be able to give her a challenging battle! But either way, they're pretty close, and Riff is very proud of her.
Wicke is Braidy's rival! They're traveling with her on their shared Pokemon journey.
Braidy is a good travel companion! They met on their quest to get their gym badges, and stuck together afterwards. Wicke likes that they’re competitive and keep her on her toes. They’re good friends and even better rivals!
