It's funny really - who would've thought a chance encounter would lead to them being friends? Taletzi just happened to run into Fjordin during a job, and they ended up clicking! They may not have been friends for very long, in the grand scheme of things, but Taletzi has come to care for Fjordin quite a lot! Maybe. Maybe a little more than he realizes actually...
It's funny really - who would've thought a chance encounter would lead to them being friends? Fjordin just so happened to encounter Taletzi while the latter was working another new job, and the two simply clicked. Perhaps they haven't known each other for very long, but Fjordin would happily admit to caring about Taletzi quite a lot. Perhaps. Perhaps a tad more strongly than he realizes...
You wouldn't think that Taletzi would end up getting along with Fjordin, regardless of how friendly he is. On the contrary, they're rather close! Something about Fjordin's personality tends to put Taletzi at ease. He can't help but want to be around the Viera often, trying to impress him and being the best he can be. There's a little bit of him that's developed a crush on Fjordin, if he must be honest - though surely it's a passing phase, right? Right??
You wouldn't think that Fjordin would find much interest in Taletzi, considering how...well, clueless the other can be a good portion of the time. Yet, something about the Miqo'te ends up drawing him in. Perhaps it's how genuine and sincere he is in trying to make up for his shortcomings, or perhaps it's just how bright the Miqo'te does his best to be. Fjordin can't help but find his dear adorable.
Taletzi is someone that Rekrito cares for very deeply. They met by chance, and it would not be an exaggeration to say that Taletzi is partly the reason Rekrito is the way he is today. If you asked him about it, Rekrito would say he admires Taletzi. He admires his ability to still be so kind to others despite the hand that's been dealt to him. And Rekrito is willing to do whatever he can to preserve that kindness.
Taletzi had already heard a lot of good things about Arkhe, mostly from Rekrito, though he never had a chance to meet him before the Calamity. To his pleasant surprise, Arkhe pretty much met those expectations with no trouble whatsoever - though he was still excited to get to know Arkhe personally. He considers Arkhe to be one of his good friends in the present day, and always knows he can rely on Arkhe if he needs to - even if he'd rather not, if only because he feels bad about it.
Taletzi always enjoyed getting to see Boal and his parents in Ala Mhigo, and made an effort to be friendly whenever he saw him. If you were to ask Taletzi, he'd definitely consider Boal a friend - even if he wasn't sure if Boal felt the same way. When the Garleans invaded and Taletzi couldn't find Boal anywhere in the aftermath, he was genuinely upset. He wasn't sure if Boal fled or not, but he still hopes to this day that Boal was able to escape and is living a better life.
Boal was having a hard time adjusting to being the only non-Hyur and Roegadyn Ala Mhigan citizen he saw aside from his parents for a while, so Taletzi and his family were a fresh sight to assure him he wasn't so out of place after all. The two of them got along very well, so when Boal and his father had to run after the Garleans invaded and killed his mother, he was beside himself without Taletzi able to follow along. Even now, he wonders if Taletzi is alright and worries for him.
Alia only happened to meet Ibun by chance, but she's forever glad that she did. She could and would confidently say that Ibun is the love of her life, and the only one for her. He's just so supportive of her and so genuinely kind and cheerful that she can't help but fall for him a little more every day. She just hopes that she can show Ibun how much she loves him as much as he shows her.
Alia's very dear to him, in all honesty being the only blood relative he even speaks to, let alone be close with. He did his best to support her while he was still a part of the Verezo family, and even moreso once he'd blown the whistle to Deus. Nowadays it's pretty common for the two to meet up rather often, as long as their schedules allow. Seeing how close they are, you'd think they were siblings rather than cousins; and honestly, they might as well be.
Rekrito's always been her closest confidant ever since she was little, and the two have supported each other through the hellhole that was their home lives. Rekrito was the only one she ever came out to before leaving home herself, and he was the one to help her get the money she needed to transition like she wanted to. She considers Rekrito to be the only family she truly has, and that's all that really needs to be said.
If someone makes the mistake of asking Arkhe how he feels about Rekrito and how they met, they're in for quite the crazy tale of his woes and misfortunes, leading up to what started as a mutually beneficial adventuring deal turned dedicated marriage. He wouldn't dare do anything to ruin his marriage to Rekrito, he's happiest by his husband's side and loves him more than anything else.
If you were to ask Rekrito about how he felt about Arkhe, he'd answer, without hesitation, an earnest, "I love him, with all of my heart." If you were to ask him again, and this time ask what he really felt about Arkhe, he'd narrow his eyes and stare at you daring you to clarify - at which point is your cue to leave. Arkhe means everything to him, and just as Arkhe supports him when things get rough, he'll always be there to support Arkhe in turn.
Isaac is beyond precious to him. He loves his son with all of his heart, and despite his worries of not being a good parent (or worse, turning out like his own), he managed to knock it out of the park. Though he may go overboard with his over-protectiveness at times, occasionally wishing he could wrap Isaac in bubble wrap to keep him safe, he knows Isaac is old enough to fend for himself now. And Rekrito's beyond proud of him for it.
He loves Rekrito so much, thinks the world of him, and values the caring and nurturing approach to parenting he took that taught Isaac his logical sympathy and compassion so early on. Though if there's one thing he inherited from Arkhe instead, it's that he loves to tease Rekrito all the time and poke at him here and there to see how he'll respond, but in the end it's all in good faith and he tries not to go overboard.
Rekrito tends to worry a lot about Taletzi. He does what he can, but he can tell that Taletzi doesn't tell him everything. It'd make him more upset if he didn't know he'd be a hypocrite for it. That's not gonna stop him from being there to support Taletzi as much as he can whenever he can though - the Miqo'te and his siblings all deserve much better than the hand they were dealt.
Taletzi cares very deeply for Rekrito. They've been friends for a few years now, though even despite that Taletzi can't help but want to keep his burdens to himself. He's heard of what Rekrito's been through, and a part of him can't help but feel like he'll add to that. Even so, Rekrito's constant kindness and patience is very welcome - and something that ended up making Taletzi develop a bit of a crush. Though that's something he'll keep to himself.
As much as Arkhe worries over him constantly, he enjoys spending time with Taletzi all the time. He's such a sweet guy, wears his heart on his sleeve, and Arkhe wants to be there to help and support him through all these hardships he and his siblings don't deserve. They're all his family, he adores them and will always be there for them, and they have his full trust.
Taletzi could never even begin to try and express how grateful he is to Arkhe for pretty much everything. Whether it's helping Taletzi watch his siblings or something much more serious, Arkhe's so often supported him without a second thought that Taletzi wouldn't know where he'd be without him. It has admittedly led to him developing a bit of a crush on the Au Ra, though that's something he'll be keeping to himself.
Cervus has high respect for Deus for how good of a ruler he is, that can be said for certain, and he values Deus' friendship. He loves to tease Deus when others aren't looking to see just how stark the blush is on that snow-white face of his, though he does buckle down a lot of the time and get to business during their meetings. At first he had hidden plans to catch Deus off guard and take over if push came to shove if he found out about any hidden shady business, but when he found nothing he deemed a threat to himself or Lunarius, he put his walls down a little and let their friendship flourish properly.
Despite how...strange, Cervus can be sometimes, Deus can certainly respect how good of a ruler Cervus is. That respect only runs further remembering how Cervus's parents had ruled; certainly an upgrade in every sense of the word. Though he was admittedly rather wary of Cervus during that first meeting, having seen how his parents had been, he's since gotten over that wariness and would happily call Cervus a trusted friend.
Rekrito is Arkhe's whole world, and he'd do unspeakable things to keep Rekrito safe and well. It didn't take long at all to get close to him when they first met, and he fell pretty hard pretty quickly. Pretty much every positive thing he can think of eventually translates to something involving Rekrito somehow, even if a fleeting thought of "I wonder what he'd think of this".
Arkhe is...very dear to him. Actually, that's very much an understatement. Arkhe truly does mean the world to him, being the first one Rekrito could ever think of to show a genuine interest in just getting to know him, rather than simply drooling over his appearance. It didn't take long for the two to become close, and it didn't take long after that for Rekrito to realize he was falling in love.
Ultimately, Deus feels guilty when it comes to Rekrito. After all, he had been the one to choose House Verezo for their position - and no matter how worthy they were at the time, it ultimately lead to corruption and abuse. It's one of the few decisions he's ever truly regretted ever since he became king. Since the day Rekrito came in revealing his House's growing corruption, Deus made a promise to himself that he would try to make it up to Rekrito however he could. Even if Rekrito doesn't often accept the aid Deus sends.
Rekrito's got mixed feelings of his own, though at least by the time he's an adult he's more on the positive side. While it was Deus's decision to make Rekrito's family into a House that was the first domino to everything falling, he can't deny that it was his own family's fault for falling victim to that greed and hunger for power and prestige. Not to mention, it was Deus that had readily listened and gotten him out of that situation, even stripping House Verezo of its rank and arresting his parents. So in the end, he finds that he is grateful to Deus, and does keep in contact with him. Even if he wouldn't say that they were "friends" in any capacity.
From the moment he saw her, Festus thought Marshmallow was absolutely adorable, and he's endlessly impressed that SHII was able to create her. He absolutely adores Marshmallow, and will happily spend time with her whenever he isn't on a mission. He loves Marshmallow so much, and is happy to show it whenever she wants.
Festus is her super soft and gentle papa, who she loves to chat with and snuggle with. When Festus is feeling down, she tries her very best to keep him company and cheer him up.
Uncle Mauro's kind of weird, to Eva. When she first met him, she actually mistook him for a plush toy due to the form he was taking, only to be very surprised when this "plushy toy" suddenly began yelling and demanding to be let go. Eva does find her uncle to be fun, even if he apparently says or does stuff he really shouldn't around her. Even if he acts all casually around her though, she can't help but feel like something's wrong. Like he's sad somehow, but not knowing why. Oh well - maybe she'll just figure it out later, when she's older.
Mauro cares about Eva, he swears! He's just...really not good around her. As in, really, really not good. He tries at least, but sometimes (read: a lot of the time) he forgets that Eva is still just a child, and so he really shouldn't be saying or doing something around her - which only leads to him being cartoonishly walloped by the consequences. It doesn't help that, sometimes, he gets the feeling that she just...knows something that she shouldn't. Which only leads him to try and cover it up more, and slipping up as a result. Maybe he'll be able to stop this cycle one day, but that day is not today.
