An MKG (mutual killing game) is a murder mystery games (like. if you made Among Us or Mafia but for RP) with a limited (16-20) cast of characters and highly character driven storytelling. Frequently, "power roles" secretly shape the plot by masterminding the circumstances of the game, and the mystery is unveiled over a series of highly structured chapters for players to participate in.
I really enjoy these games because the limited length of the campaign and the structured format really helps drive along character development towards a satisfying ending. Players keep their character's backstory mostly secret, and learn about the other characters in a very natural and organic way.
The hardest part about these games is that applications are competitive because mods choose small rosters in order to foster a tight knit story. If you end up applying, don't feel bad if you don't get in, it's not a reflection of your character-- many times, a character may just not mesh as well with the chosen roster or overarching story themes. There are frequently amazing apps that are best saved for other/future campaigns too.

Yo! Just a signal boost for the up and coming RP group, Ashen Contract
[Ashen Contract] is a collaborative roleplaying game inspired primarily by the game Arknights. It will be composed of 4 chapters, each with two freeform ‘threading’ periods and one structured ‘operation’ period, cumulating in an encounter against the power roles hidden within the cast.
Apps will open on March 15th.

I just wanted to put out an announcement because being in just one of these kinds of games really did a huge benefit to my creative drive and burnout recently, (lmao if youve noticed me spamming content of Berceuse and wondered wtf that was about, that's why) the community is really amazing in that a lot of people here care more about storytelling than 'winning' and are really considerate, and I know some people have been looking for RP groups now that dA is dead. I'll likely continue to put up bulletins as more games crop up too (there tend to be quite a few each year, which helps with the limited roster size and limited duration of the game).

Whether for better or for worse, those who undergo the hardships of life come out as changed people. Many of those featured in this advent underwent trials rivaling tests given by Ilya, and have come out stronger for it. Whether they use that strength to help, to harm, or to hide, is ultimately a telling aspect of their character.
For every week this month, there will be one Free Raffle on Mondays, and Guest Auctions on Saturdays featuring designs made by guest artists! Auctions will post previews 12 hours ahead of time (4 AM CST) and open for bids at 4 PM CST. Keep an eye on sales for all upcoming advent designs!
There will also be a large free-for-all flatsale at the end of the month, on the 31st.
All designs will be $80. Previews will go up at 4 AM CST, and claims will open at 4 PM CST.
It is first come, first served, but buyers can only claim one design in the first 24 hours. After 24 hours, multiples may be purchased.

Hello! This is a short guide on how to embed google docs into toyhou.se! Why would you want to do this? It's because if you edit the google doc, it will automatically update wherever it is embedded (though it sometimes takes up to five minutes to refresh). This can be an easy way to include easily editable, nicely formatted content for someone who isn't code savvy.
You can also embed google sheets, and even more excitingly, google FORMS!!
I'll also leave some sample code at the bottom that you're free to use. Just copy paste your embed URL into the iframe src="[url]" in the code and you're all set!
First, get your doc and publish to the web
You may notice that if you use this code, it appears smushed...
This is easily fixed! You'll want to add the following:
Yeah!! If there's some weird huge amount of space inside the display, you can fix that by adjusting the margins in the google doc itself. Remember that it can take up to 5 minutes for changes to show up in the embed. Also, embedded docs do NOT show page breaks! Beautiful!
There's a bit more you can do with styling... Here's an example!
