[WIP] He had been in awe of Yue Ren's beauty the few times he had caught a glimpse of him before they officially introduced themselves. He found him very otherworldly but beautiful. One would think their encounter is romantic until it's revealed further he met Yue Ren in his dragon form. Intimidating. Though Jin-guang's innate ability cannot work on sentient beings such as Yue Ren, he undoubtfully charmed him one way or another.
Jin Guang is an anomaly to him. It wasn't that of a human who had a chance upon visiting his abode, he welcomed those that sought after the tranquil beauty of the peony adorned fields. Nor was he puzzled by the fact the animals inhabiting his abode took a liking to the human visitor, even critters that were elusive flocked to his feet. It was the first time Yue Ren met a human who he couldn't tie a fated string to another person. He was stupefied by the revelation when he saw himself at the other end of the string. He head of relationships of immortals and mortals through anecdotes and stories going through good and bad. Yue Ren isn't sure if he should commit to a partner who's life is only but a fleeting moment of his time or ignore the existence of the red string.
However, the longer they've interacted with each other, he couldn't help but feel more drawn toward him until being together is the right choice.
Lilith wanted to be free; free from the chains of society strapping her down with the reputation of a high society lady. Wearing big fancy dresses, attending banquets and speaking flowery words was just not her her cup of tea even though she perfected the arts. Inevitably her family pushed for to be wedded, and she lamented the fate of her freedom coming to the end. With a plan cooking up in secret, Lilith reunited with her childhood friend Lucien to forge a fake relationship. There may have been a time that the two truly felt something for the other, but ultimately they decided they were better off as companions. They could act to impress the family of their union but was nothing but a veil to hide the fact that Lilith wanted to see the world and Lucien wanted to avoid being bombarded by love letters. Both sides were protecting each others secrets.
Lucien loved Lilith when he was just a boy, a lady who was two years older. He admired her eccentricity that stood out from the crowd of other delicate ladies. She was a little brash and enjoyed bullying him in good fun. He had long given up on his wish to marry her as he could see she had a bigger love for the world. It only made sense that he encouraged and protected his first love's dream. After all, he somehow just can't imagine doing anything intimate with Lilith anymore and started seeing her as a sister who did not share his blood. Ironically it was thanks to her that he realized how much his attraction had changed but not everyone his family and society would be accepting of an heir to a prestigious family taking fancy in other men.
