Adoptable Creation

So you want to create Technoctem designs for the group?

Well, you've come to the right place to become a Regular Designer!
Technoctem Adoptables are easy to create, you'll just need to follow a few rules to have them approved before posting and selling them!

Rules

  • Only regular and Special traits might be used for general adoptables. Make sure to check the species information sheet before designing them!
  • Once you're done designing, note the group / world with the designs you've created and a list of traits used, so that we can check if they're approved or if they need edits (this is regardless of number of traits used or design / art quality; we just want to make sure they stay within the correct rarity tier!)
  • If they're approved, you're good to go! Feel free to post them online and sell them.
  • You may sell them for deviantArt points, real life currency, keep them as OTA or draw to adopt and even host auctions!
  • Flat Sales and Auctions for Regular Designers have to be capped at 50$.

But I want to make higher rarity designs!

Then all you need to do is apply as a Guest Designer! All you need to do is reply to the comment linked to apply as a GD, and if you're picked we'll notify you privately.

  • Guest Designers may create up to 8 higher tier designs, and they're allowed to apply one Exclusive and multiple Ultra traits to their designs.
  • Same rules for design approval apply to GDs.
  • Flat Sales and Auctions for Guest Designers instead will cap at 80$.

Hi, I’m new to the whole closed species community, but I was wondering if I could become a guest designer, I’ll follow the rules to the T, and I’d like to get more involved with some perhaps not so well known species, if not that’s okay, but I’d like to make my own species to sell at some point so I’d like an in to the community, feel free to browse my art before you decide, I’m not the best at art, but I like to think I’m at least half decent, whatever your decision may be, thanks for reading this and taking the time to consider, thank you -Lucky

If you're only starting out now in closed species and want to feel a little more comfortable with the ins and outs of designing adoptables, I suggest becoming a regular designer first! You can still make designs, just with a more restricted set of traits (which doesn't really hinder the final quality of the design), and it's still a good way to get acquainted with the designing rules and whatnot

Thanks I’ll keep that in mind, and come back once I’ve got a bit more experience!
