sometimes i wonder what other artists hobbies are other than drawing because for me, i feel like my other hobbies are really simple, just writing and reading. ive been really busy with school these past three weeks and ill still be busy because im only 1/3 done with my trimester so when i have free time, i would like to try out other hobbies!

your hobby can be anything, from watching youtube to watering plants to anything! im just curious about other peoples hobbies ^^

maybe you could also get inspiration to try out other hobbies?

I guess I forgot that drawing is not the only art hobby xD but all of your hobbies are very interesting and they definitely seem fun. writing is pretty nice since it could be a stress reliever which is what it is to me now since i feel way too burned out during the week to write anything productive during the weekends(maybe its less of a hobby but more for me to relax?). i do want one day to try embroidery/sewing but im way too impatient to try doing something that takes a long time. cooking and gardening can be a hobby since you'd rather cook than order take out which is what most people are doing.

i dont think its really sad ^^ you definitely are doing a lot more productive things in your free time than im doing. and your getting better at all those things! you'll become more talented c:

i might change the threads title to drawing since i def did forgot that art hobbies also include other things.

Now that i think about it I have like... very few hobbies that dont involve art lol. Other than drawing i like to listen to podcasts or youtube in the background of me doing whatever, and i like to research stuff about astrology. i play videogames too but that feels like sort of a given because its really common to have games as a hobby... I'd also like to reteach myself how to play guitar but i just dont have the drive or attention span to do it u__u I'm just not the kinda person who can do a ton of things at once tho and i think about art 90% of the time

watching youtube videos, watching series, listening to music, learning how to play guitar, learning languages, videogames, makeup, photography, sewing (less of a hobby and more of a necessity because sometimes i need to fit my clothes, but im not really good at it, ive never sown from scratch although i want to try), exercise (need to get back to it, so i started doing yoga), tarot reading, and just googling and reading interesting stuff.

ive also done plenty of other stuff, simply because i like learning and trying things. i pick up hobbies, try them out and if i dont like it ill let it go and try something else. maybe ill get back to it, maybe i wont, but i can at least say i tried it and usually ill learn something from it be it a skill, information or just an aspect of myself. like for example for a few months that i spent without electricity i did plushies, and on some other occasion i coded a videogame.

Watching series and movies for sure!  Netflix,  YouTube etc.  I also do that while drawing.

Another thing is customisation.  I need to pretty everything up..  I'm addicted to that.  Online (for example web design)  but also irl.  Room decorations and stuff.  I love doing this way too much xD

third thing is doing puzzles. I can't  focus on it for too long but I still enjoy it a lot here and there.  Really need to buy a new one.  I also have this jigsaw puzzle app but its not the same compared to doing it the traditional "real" way.

And music!  I don't do music myself (I used to learn piano for a year but stopped (personal reasons))  but I listen to some all day.

Edit: forgot gaming.  I used to play more,  especially 3-4 years a go I literally couldn't let my 3DS go lol.  but now I play Minecraft again since 2 weeks.  And I play AC pocket camp.  (On some days I'm too lazy tho)

I usually fix hardware ore replace hardwaee components of custom laptops /conputures. I also code websites if I'm not lazy but right now my line of jo deals with database management. I m taking about JDBC for Java programming... Hm other than that I do play piano and guitar... Those are my hobbies that I get to relax

I used to have more varied hobbies when I was younger but nowadays all I really do is draw and write, oops. I used to do irish dancing when I was much younger though and did it for a few years and I did self defense in lukio, but I come from a small village and had no friends in my hobbies so I ended up dropping them all bc I was really lonely and felt like an outsider. I'd really like to either start tap dancing or pick up irish dance again, but hobbies are Expensive and mainly for children which kinda sucks!! I also did cosplay for quite a while but eventually dropped because the Finnish cosplay circles can be pretty cruel and I actually really dislike sewing & fabrics are expensive in Finland.

I do play video games and occasionally work on my bullet journal, but in my own life I have a hard time thinking of them as hobbies for some reason? Even though they totally are!!!

I like reading, growing herbs, being in nature and sometimes writing and drawing. I have a cat and two guinea pigs. I like doing things with my family like watching series and movies and having beauty days and playing boardgames.

I have quite a few hobbies, but I typically hyperfocus on one hobby at a time then switch it up when I start to burn out on one. My big other hobby that I do is work on a wiki, which includes coding, writing, organizing, and so on. I've also done a little bit of hacking and sprite ripping from games. I also consider Toyhouse a hobby but more from a writing perspective than from the art side (but a little on the art side as well). Setting up pages is also fun. Some of my non-writing and non-coding hobbies include cross-stitch and papercraft (I actually recently picked papercraft up again after years of not doing it), collecting and organizing my Pokemon card collection, jigsaw puzzles, video games (my faves are puzzle-adventure, rhythm games, and gacha games) as well as some virtual pet games (like Subeta). I enjoy the occasional information rabbit hole, like finding a bunch of resources and stuff and compiling them. I also consider chatting a hobby, because it's enjoyable but takes focus for me to do. So like, talking to my friends or writing on the forums here is a hobby for me.

i read a lot! books (usually world history and art), articles (i like national geographic), comics (i have the shounen jump app subscription) etc. i also spend a lot of time doing creative writing, and i play games. i play neopets but its so boring. i also do a bit of embroidery and macrame. ig the amount i do my hobbies feels really inconsistent but thats the point of hobbies right theyre no pressure! drawing used to be my hobby but i felt i was way too serious about it and wanted more so i decided to make it my career, i really love it lol.

Hmm.. drawing isn't really a hobby anymore because it's like, my livelihood and what I love to do. My life, you could say. But yeah!!! Hobbies.. I like to play visual novels, the 3 nintendo switch games I have LOL, reading manga and reading nonfiction. I also love watching documentaries and I try to read several news articles every day. I also collect stickers :3 and do a bit of embroidery and I've started making little plush toys.
