that "Need you to stay" song from JB that EVERY TikToker is so obsessed with, I may be one for poptrash but the song is SO uninspired and the lyrics are just "I knw I'm a shitty person and I know I won't change but please stay with me for my own well being" it's INSULTING honestly, and I'm the kind of person who usually doesn't care for lyrics as long as the song is good but with this one the song isn't even remotely good, it's just some guy whose voice auto-tune couldn't save singing about being a fucking tool (I REALLY hate this song)
those song covers of other songs that put the song into a different perspective? esp if it's a funny song retold via sad, 5 chord strumming guitar cover with a voice that sounds like its on the edge of tears but in the artificial way? like no hate towards reinvented songs, I'm a hypocrite who you'll easily catch listening to Scott Bradlee's Postmodern Jukebox, but my god. you've got to be fun at parties if you can make the wheels on the bus a tearjerker of a song
GameGeek002 I don't like autotune either, but for me it's less about the morality of someone using autotune to make their singing sound better and more about autotune just sounding... bad. I couldn't care less what a musician uses to make the process of recording easier. If they need an effect to make their vocals sound better, then who cares. It's just that autotune sounds so awful that even the worst singers sound way better without it. I don't understand why anyone would want to use it. If you miss a note, then rerecord.
This expands to vocal effects in general cause I find myself to be very picky about them. Somewhat similar to autotune and I hate it just as much- y'all know talkboxes? I can't stand the sound of them. Only Pretty What A Pity by the Lovin' Spoonful is a great song, but UGH that talkbox segment in the middle is really grating tbh.
AJR tiny violin song. I didnt like it before, its way too bland for me to enjoy. It feels like weird quirky pop....if thats a thing. i started to despise it once tiktok wouldnt stop shoving it in my face.

i just don’t like any variation of screamo rock, it’s just… annoying? idk how to describe it. Megan trainor’s songs suck now tbh, and I can’t stand that “I am your mother” song. I will get myself out of the car and walk wherever I need to be before I let someone keep that on.
