My favorite shows are Steven Universe, Wander Over Yonder, The Amazing World Of Gumball, Spongebob but only seasons 1-3 with a few exceptions, Popee The Performer, Kemono Friends, Blue's Clues (I don't see it too much but it's been here all my life and it's just so happy and nice and I'm honestly curious about the reboot if it hasn't happened yet lol. It'll never be as great but I'm still curious), and Regular Show.
Others I like are Rocko's Modern Life, CatDog, Hey Arnold, Rick And Morty, Adventure Time, MLP (gens 3 and 4 lmao), Gravity Falls, and OK KO: Let's Be Heros.
Shows I grew up loving were the Pokemon anime, Digimon Fusion/Xros Wars, Peppa Pig (as a ten-year-old. Made me sad I had no friends irl) Doc McStuffins (same reason as Peppa), Kimba The White Lion/Leo The Lion, some true crime shows (watched Dateline the most but I think 20/20 (is that the name?) was my favorite as there was more than just murders), Hamtaro, and a reality vet show called The Incredible Doctor Pol (a friend of a friend met him once and was able to give me a signed image from him so that's cool even though it has my deadname and bad memories associated with it now lol),.
I probs missed a lot.
I went overboard on stuff after this; I went on about animal documentaries and went on about other stuff. Warning: Mentions of blood and gore and death plus other influences.
I mostly grew up on animal documentaries of them in the wild or just people talking about them. It was interesting and my favorites were always the lions in South Africa. This and animators on YouTube are probably why I like drawing and writing about death so much; blood and gore were common in those shows/movies/documentaries. I used to be scared to look at it but sooner or later, I became able to watch a pride of lions killing its prey, blood and gore and all, and be just fine. My mom also once pushed in a wagon full of sand and I got those realistic animal figures from those feed stores (can't remember the brand but they're still pretty cool) and I had a long story based around the animals I liked (mostly ones from South Africa) plus Kimba and Simba lol. Full of so much death and sadness. I wish I could recall these stories but too bad. I have the memory of a goldfish when it comes to these kinds of things and can remember very few moments. I also had a story happen for weeks about these Dollar Tree dinosaur figures I had during a dinosaur phase in first or second grade. (I think it was about the group leaving their home or something and finding a home but Blackberry the Triceratops was doing stuff or something...I forgot and that's all I remember except there was a guy who could ride and was good friends with a brontosaurus???) Also, I think I've been into documentaries since around age seven? So yeah. Thanks, Nat Geo Wild.
They've really influenced me and I wouldn't be the person I am today without them so...
I can also say Pokemon has influenced me as well overall, mostly the games, though. I assume shows like AV, SU, KTWL, and several others have also influenced my storytelling as well from the looks of it.
Other influences: Undertale, artists I like, Eeveelutions, Warriors even though I haven't read more than one book (eight-year-old me spoiled the whole series except for the most recent books. The world was always one of my favorites to think about), Team Fortress 2, watching videos about how horror works (themes and such), videos about pretty much useless knowledge I'll never use but it's still interesting to learn about anyway, my doggo, Megan, the darkness of the world, LittleBigPlanet's Eevee storytelling community, Flipnote Hatena (before Sudomemo but Sudomemo influenced me a whole lot too), gore art, peoples MLP gore speedpaints, edgy music, music as a whole, creating worlds and characters of my own, my friend's stories and characters, and most importantly, my dad's death.
I had to have missed a lot but eh. I got pretty much most of them, I think.
I admit I have a strong feeling I'm fucked up or something but can fit in with everyone just fine so no one really bats an eye or cares. Not too sure, though.
