General pet peeves thread

big agree with canineking, I'm so burnt out and sick of among us after all the streamers I liked switched to playing it every day and its just... sooo boring and repetitive, because everybody plays a little bean boy game and suddenly thinks they have a psychology degree to get super aggro at each other with. I feel like after a while people forget its supposed to be a fun and goofy little game, not screaming at each other that you know all of their psychological tells or whatever and get furious if they're wrong or don't get imposter (why play the game if you hate it unless you get a role you have a smaller chance of getting LOL)... some people need to watch the hannibal buress FFXIV commercial-- it's video games man! it's just buttons!

Personally, I'm just sick of seeing Among Us in g e n e r a l

Its all I see anymore, and I'm juts waiting for its popularity to die down

and yes, I HAVE played it, and it was really boring imo

I actually really enjoy playing among us, but im tired of seeing every other youtube video and toyhouse recent character be about among us.

Being over the age of 18 and finding roleplay partners is hard. Anyone 18+ either wants romance or nsfw. I am engaged and have been in a closed monogamous relationship for the past 2 years, and doing romace or nsfw roleplays makes both me and my partner uncomfy. It doesn't matter if it's just "fiction". It doesn't matter if you don't like it. It's MY decision. I had someone send me THREE paragraphs one time about how they disagreed with people in relationships refraining from doing any naughty roleplays with other people, and why it would totally be okay if I did it with them. Honestly, one of the most disrespectful things I've ever heard in my time in the roleplay community (directed at me, at least). I JUST want to plot and talk about our characters and world build. Most of my characters are built after me, so I can't see them with anybody else's ocs other than my partner's. I just can't. I don't know why some people can't comprehend boundaries.

+1 about Among Us being oversaturated. I don't think the OCs are bad, I'm more annoyed at how every youtuber and their mom is jumping on the trend to the point that's half the content on my feed. To me it's one of those games that's only fun with friends so I don't care for watching videos & streams of it.

But with everyone I watch and sub to jumping on the trend... ofc youtube's algorithm keeps dumping Among Us vids in my recommends

-Also "show less of (x)", "don't recommend me (x)", "Not interested" features being completely useless. You'd think with how many sites want to rely on algorithms to show posts etc. they'd have one that'd actually hide posts & stuff you're not interested in?

Pointless. UI. changes. like idk why Youtube changed it's layout/icon design and google changed their app logos because it does nothing & looks ugly as hell!

this pet peeve is for myself. I have an assignment due in 6 days i havent started yet but my brain is like NOO!! you cant do work. you have to play video games instead or spend hours doing nothing but browse the internet :) executive dysfunction is a curse U__U how does one teach themselves discipline...

Wish we could stop dunking on people for making NSFW art!! I get if you're uncomfy w/it but there's nothing wrong with drawing lewd stuffs (as long as it's LEGAL lewd stuffs).

I'm tired of people instinctively assuming their opinions are justified, and I'm tired of instinctively assuming my opinions are justified, and I'm tired of yawning over the flawed, radical utopian ideals pushed by our generation, and I'm tired of coming up with my own equally flawed, yawn-ready radical ideals, and I wish I could rewrite and change the very foundation of human nature, and I wish I could silence such grandiose, self-centered nonsensical thoughts, and I'm tired of everyone believing they're not like everyone else deep down, and I'm tired of believing like I'm not like everyone else deep down, and I'm tired of the human cycle.

Same with the people above. Among us is getting really boring. 

Because I clicked on ONE amazingly animated among us video (that's still very cool) my reccomendations have only been among us...

Sometimes I hate the lazyness. People just can't or don't want to read or put in any effort at all. In many situations. If someone has a disability that's a whole different story but otherwise it's annoys the heck out of me. I can make things as clear and simple as humanly possible but it's just like it doesn't exist to some individuals out there.
