This is the thread for general pet peeves. I don't mean character ones or fandom pet peeves, I mean random, not specific to anything pet peeves.

^^^ People who did shit like that are part of why YT removed community contributions. Like thanks a lot now disabled people & people with diff. languages can't watch videos

Just- shut. the hell up. We get it this year's a shithole but I'm sick and tired of these comments flooding every video. No, it's not a Covid prediction and some people just want to watch a video, not be reminded that "oh yeah 2020 bad" Especially if its on a video in chinese or refrencing china like really? At that point it's beyond a bad joke it's racist / promoting negative stigma around asians smh
unskippable cutscenes / tutorials. i love sitting thru the first 15 mins of a game not able to do anything other than what the game lets me click on :)
unskippable cutscenes are maddening, esp if its before a boss fight. for some reason games keep doing this despite constant complaints. rpgs are the worst of this like dragon quest.
when people nag on you for having a different, completely harmless opinion.
even if it's meant as a joke, having someone make fun of the fact i like pineapple pizza or dislike potatoes is just... pointless and hurtful?
its not funny, and its not going to change either of those things, all its going to do is make me avoid telling you my opinion
besides, knowing someone is willing to make fun of me (even if they believe it to be trivial) means its likely they may make fun of something more important to me they also see as trivial
probably a given, but i really dislike witnessing same face syndrome
i easily excuse it if the style has the same facial complexity as your stereotypical smiley face and uses different ways to identify characters, but a more complicated face turns it into a defining feature
it bothers me to see the same exact face no matter who the character is, even if i can still easily tell them apart
People who dm you abruptly and out of the blue, expecting you to hold up a conversation with them, but only because they want to spam you with random character info. It's not even a "hey, how are you? I have a new character I want to talk about", it's literally just a sudden message at 2am in the morning, and it's a full essay. Now, in retrospect, that isn't all that bad, just a bit tiresome when they expect you to reply to all of that and spend hours discussing their character and constantly encourage you to give more and more feedback until they're satisfied. What gets me is when YOU try to give a little lore as well, or even just have a human conversation with them.
Wanna talk about how your day was? Nope! No response. Radio silence until they have the next massive dump of lore. They interrupt any chain of casual conversation with sudden lore as well. Like, I know your characters, but can we talk about you? Can we talk about shared interests, memes, etc.? Are you a real person behind there? Or are you a robot who only goes into my dms when you're bored and want to hear about your characters more?
Better yet, these are the people that go "now give me some of your oc lore/info!" and then never respond to it, or give you a one word response. "Cool!" And then they send paragraphs and get annoyed when you don't spend an hour providing them an in-depth analytic response. It isn't that hard to just give back a little- if you want long responses, give long responses. If you want in-depth feedback, give in-depth feedback. I'm always happy to read other peoples lore and discuss it and am flattered when people feel comfortable enough sending it to me, but these people don't want to have an equal discussion, they simply just want to discuss their character- and that's all they need you for, until they get bored and come back to you again.

sort of a dumb one but i make my own sewing patterns. It bothers me when patterns dont work out for me, luckily it hasn't happened for a while
when ppl take a photo of smthn on the ground (eg dog, cat, dropped sandwich idk) and their ugly ass toes/feet are in it
it's not hard to either angle the camera up a bit or move back a few cms
People who constantly complain about how bad closed species are. Don't join them then? It's ok if they're not for you. There's a closed species vent blog and half the asks are like "Everything is so unfair!!!! I hate closed species!!!" ...Then why are you in closed species spaces lol. If it bothers you that much, you do not have to surround yourself with it
Also offbranders like. If you copy somebody's idea to a T, (especially if it isn't generic) why are you confused that people are angry at you?? Like. maybe it's not "as bad" as stealing a whole design but it's still not that great
I see this stuff more on DeviantArt and Tumblr than Toyhouse, so I'm not putting it in the Toyhouse thread
