General pet peeves thread

I HATE insults like "wow you have low reading comprehension lol" because you know that reading comprehension issues are a symptom of developmental disabilities/neurodivergence right

I have autism and ADHD and I sometimes have to read a paragraph several times to understand it. I don't like seeing that issue being used as a weapon in an argument

when restaurants give you a tiny cup of [insert sauce/condiment here] while giving you a bunch of food. how tf am i supposed to use this small thing of ketchup when i have a large fry and burger

^agreed like if its something that makes someone uncomfortable then they have the right to not support it, but forcing it on others/trying to 'cancel' them? Not the best idea (and yes I know there's cases where you should stop supporting something regardless, but those are less common than people think imo)

-When auto correct says i misspelled a word, then when I right click it to correct it I get every suggestion but the word I wanted. Thanks that's very helpful

-Youtube stop recommending me Amoung Us challenge (seriously how many times do I have to say 'I'm not interested' before the algorithm gives me something else?)

how many more cat, doll and art videos do i have to watch along with clicking that useless button until the algorythm finally learns "hey, this person couldn't give less of a toss about these blobs"

people not knowing the difference between hispanic and latino or using them interchangably. they mean different things... i also hate it when people just dont know anything about latinos. its always sooooo obvious and its soooo annoying -_-

i know this is common but it really grinds my gears when people repost people's art without credit in p. much any capacity. weirdly it doesn't bother me much when it happens to my art (i'm just happy they like it enough to do that) but i just saw someone who has a blog of just reposts and is asking people to tip them... for reposting people's art with no credit whaaaat???

when singers sing in an american accent when they're not american

i find it happens w/ a lot of british and australian artists and it always sounds fake or forced (bonus points if their older music doesn't do this)

It bugs me a little bit when people say "biblically accurate angel" and then just draw ophanim. Well yes, that's a real kind of angel, and there's nothing wrong with drawing ones that look like that, there's a whole hierarchy of angels and they all look different. Ophanim isn't a representation of all angels

(People who censor words like this in the middle of their character's bio. It make it almost impossible to read. I know people could get triggered by those words, but you could spoiler tag it instead.)

When people like my fandom art, but they dont even care about my original art

Yea, I may have drawn your favorite characters, but I've put more effort into developing my ocs than I did sketching an existing media character and making art of them

also theres the curse of deviantart stamps where if u upload stamps ur stamps get more faves and comments than ur actual art

i dont like how so many ppl use autistic as an insult it makes me scared to say im autistic sometimes bc im worried ppl might think im trolling (and thats kinda messed up)

also i dont like when ppl try to defend anti-employee business practices like crunch time and animation/tech companies owning their employees personal projects

also ppl being aggressive to ppl pointing out that maybe having a feature in a game that can actually cause seizures (the thing in cyberpunk that is very similar to a device that is made to induce a seizure) is a bad thing
