Show me your princes / princesses / kings / queens / emperors / empress +

  • I haven't seen a thread like this so I figured I'd make my own thread for it! If you have a character who is royalty of any kind / sort, post them and tell me about them!
  • They can be currently in power of a land or be a long lost whatever have you! As long as they have that royal blood or royal by X reason, post em!
  • Post IC or post links and talk about your kids! - but keep it all PG 13!
  • I wish I could respond to everyone, but just know I love all your royal babies!<3 I love royal stories as they can be so unique and so poetic! From a princess decided to go on adventures to an ex-king taking back his kingdom! They're all valid!

If you have a hard time thinking of what to say, here's some ideas!

  • Do they like being royalty?
  • What kind of ruler are they?
  • If they're not a ruler (lost royalty) then do they wish they could have been in power?
  • If they aren't in line to the throne, do they plan to get it by force or accept their fate?
  • Where do they live?

Show me your elves

Mushin smolbbshy

Ahh Mushi is my little demon prince!

He's a very naive and soft person though he's been around for a few centuries. He's very very sheltered and just over all a very sensitive character of mine. He doesn't exactly dislike being royalty but he isn't upset about it either. He just tried his best to enjoy himself and please those around him. Since he is heir to the throne he has already started enforcing laws[trying to atleast] and he's always stressed out lmao. In their land it is custom for the children of the royal family to be raised away from the palace so the pressure of the palace and the throne room doesn't get to them. Now that he's older he does live in the palace but sometimes he prefers to be back home on the small island he was raised on

Mei Oui

Mei is technically royalty? Though only through marriage.
After her father's loyalties began to be questioned in her homeland of Nakashihoro, he made the decision of offering his youngest daughter's hand to the Emperor to replace one of his deceased wives as the Seventh wife and empress. The Emperor was not kind, he was quite cruel and cold. Nakashihoro being a continent of elves after a Demi-Human genocide, Mei's tail (a mark of her demi-human heritage) set her apart from the other six beautiful empresses - and made her a target for her husband's abuse. Mei always had a strong sense of justice and compassion and those years of being muffled did not taint that, in fact, she was punished moreso for speaking out of place than anything. After the loss of her firstborn, she fled her crown and her homeland, smuggling onto a ship on a voyage that would last three days before she stepped foot in The Emerald Reach - and her new life began. Her husband still avidly searches for her, if only to put her through formal execution for fleeing. She's currently enjoying her life with her new SO, Axltein, but she is biding her time to return back to Nakashihoro once the Emperor is killed and the other wives are executed before reclaiming the throne and, with hope, turning over a new leaf for the war-torn continent.

Princess Carmandi Ezrai spiceprincess

This is Carmandi! She is the sheltered half-elf princess of an industrial Steampunky elven kingdom called Fergavia. After her aunt was murdered, her father King Fabian has kept a tight hold on her, not allowing her to venture out into the kingdom unless heavily escorted (which would mean, no exploring). She has been sheltered inside of the royal Armen Castle ever since she was 4 years old.
She loves being royalty and understand the responsibility of it, but she also has a love of exploring and wants to learn about the world firsthand, and not just from the pages of books. She has an older brother who is in line for the throne next, so she will not be ruling and she is just fine with that.

Fergavia is split up into 3 cities: Outer City (farmland), Middletown (poorer folk and industrial areas), and Inner City (upper class, noble and royal neighborhoods). Carmandi has lived in Inner City her entire life, but by the time she is 18, she has secretly explored almost all cities of the Kingdom. But it's when she goes beyond the Kingdom's giant wall that she really sees what the world is like.

She's sassy and excitable, fun and full of life. But she can have trouble taking responsibility and may jump into things without thinking first. While she loves to travel, she loves her kingdom and loves living there.

Princess Gloriosa leolion2009_

I have my Princess Gloriosa:

Do they like being royalty?

Yes and no.  She’s not a fan of having so many responsibilities but it beats the alternative of being a lowly commoner.

What kind of ruler are they?

Strict but fair.  Has a strong sense of justice.

If they're not a ruler (lost royalty) then do they wish they could have been in power?

N/A

If they aren't in line to the throne, do they plan to get it by force or accept their fate?

N/A

Where do they live?

She lives with her allies in a small island kingdom near the continent of Zenobia.

Xinshu Tridel Qen Jovian

Xin is a member of a branch family of the royalty of his race!  He's an oracle specifically; he has vivid hallucinations he interprets as divine visions and has attracted a lot of positive attention for that.  It's a bit more insidous at the core though, he's kind of being manipulated by his mother (so she can get closer to the throne)...but Xin himself is an innocuous boy.  He likes poetry and painting specifically and wishes he could do more of that.

Mortimer salida

Mortimer was crown prince until he ran away from home. he didnt think about it much but in hindsight he didnt like being royalty as he was very socially isolated and had to live with a lot of pressure and mistreatment. he definitely has his doubts and regrets about leaving but hes glad he isnt forced to be "perfect" anymore and finally has friends. He's quite relieved that he never ended up ascending the throne because he always doubted himself and his ability to be a good ruler.

 unnamed rn! hypnos-archive

i think the closest i have is this angel-adjacent character who's a royal librarian in an unset story!!

 Una Minanami

I have Una! She's the child ruler of the kingdom of Yuspheth. She doesn't have royal blood, but she was chosen to be the successor of the previous king due to some circumstances (I just put in her profile's last paragraph because this is already too long).

She became the queen at 8 years old. She was excited to be the queen at first, but then her advisors started to manipulate her and threaten to hurt her or her twin if she didn't follow them. Because of of the action her advisors forced her to do, many knew her as a really cruel and selfish queen. Not many people know anything, like how young she is or how she looked like besides having blonde hair, since she never left her palace.

When she was 14 years old, the people started a revolution against the queen. They invaded the castle to get the queen, but Una escapes with the help of her twin, who pretended to be Una and got executed in place of her. Nobody outside of the deceased king and Una knew about how Una and her twin were related. Her twin helped her dye her hair because her blonde hair is the only thing people knew about her (hair dye works differently in their world) and Una ran away from Yuspheth to the nearest kingdom, where she ended up staying at, keeping her identity a secret, and she continued living the best life she could to make sure her twin's sacrifice doesn't go in vain.

King Gwyn v13kai

Funnily enough I have a bunch of royal characters, but the only one who has a profile is Gwyn, who I literally just posted like 5 hours ago.

Anyways, he's not related to the last king and does not have a royal bloodline. Long story short, he became a hero by defeating fae/demon-like beings that were invading their world, and people began to address him as a king. He doesn't necessarily like it but doesn't hate it either, he just sort of rolled along with it. He started taking up more "kingly" duties, but he never dropped being a knight, and puts being the first line of defense for the kingdom above being a king.

He tries to be a just and fair ruler, and the people seem to view him as such. However, he does have issues with doing certain things (ex. executions), thanks to sometimes being too kind. To add on, he is a bit stubborn, so when he makes a decision it can be hard to change his mind. There had certainly been times when his wife pointed out he made a dumbass decision and he wouldn't want to acknowledge it at all. Because of that, his wife tended to be a good counterpart to him, keeping things balanced. Sadly though, she passed away, so now his advisors have to sometimes wrestle him into changing his decisions.

ShiverCritter

A little history - Ren is the second-born prince to a long-reigning Vampire King, this takes place in a very, very distant post-apoc world where Humans had ruined the planet to such a degree that Vampires and Werewolves took over. The planet has reclaimed much of human civilization and a lot of history has been lost to time; at this point it's sort of cycled back to a psuedo 'old west / medieval' period.
In the Vampire Kingdom, werewolves are treated as lesser and used as labor animals and companions. Not everyone shares this view.
In the Werewolf Kingdom, werewolves are obviously the top-tier citizens, vampires being banished entirely.

The Vampire King is ancient, and beginning to lose his mind; but he's too powerful to overthrow and he refuses to step down. He has too many loyal followers to even think of taking the throne by force.
At 'current' Ren is a prince and acts as a general, but his future is spelled out already and he does eventually become King through less than peaceful means. Though he works with the Prince of Werewolves to restore peace between and within both Kingdoms over time.
Never heard of prior, (though agreed upon years before) Ren shares the throne equally with his two brothers and one of his sisters. Each of them handling a different 'field' of expertise.
As a King, Ren remains quite casual, preferring still to be away from the Castle and handling social problems face to face.

Orabel Tyangerine

Technically yes, but she doesn't act like a princess. She also has 4 other siblings who are also Princesses and Princes.

Prince Caelis Aeonia TheMysteriousT

So this little shit is the current main antagonist of my DND campaign.

He's a MASSIVE bastard and I can't wait for the party to knock his goddamn teeth in. He'll break hearts and bodies as casually as a name he drops from his lips all in the name of being entertained! Crossing paths with him is usually a one way ticket to misery.

Might look to roleplay him soon just to get more voice testing out but the problem is he's a little shit and likely wouldn't be terribly fun to play against. (maybe if I included the High/Low courts?)
