"Uhhh let's see...We got...Metroid II: Return of Samus, Kirby's Dream Land, Makai Toshi SaGa, Donkey Kong '94..."
I want to do some character building and I cannot figure a better way then to have this antique shop owning, super dramatic, hex crafting mage build character then to have him talk to other characters or answer questions.
Jacob wasn't too into antiques himself but his oldest daughter was celebrating her twenty-sixth birthday this July and it was never too early to buy a present if he thought it was something she might want. As he strolled along the shops, one hand in his pocket, the other carrying his briefcase, he saw a mysterious-looking antiques shop. There has to be something in here Annie would like, he thought to himself as he strolled confidently inside. The little bell on the door was a nice touch.
Argen was busy sorting some recent purchases when he heard the bell ring. At that moment he places the box down and heads to the front where he got a good look at Jacob. A suit and Tie? A Briefcase? Well if that ain't the image of a Workin' Man!
And Workin' Men have Money! Money to go his cult!
"Hellooooo my esteemed customer! What brings you to my Establishment? Seeking something fancy up your desk? A conversation piece for the Mantle?" Asked Argen as he thinks of items this guy may want.
"Thank you," said Jacob, looking around at the shop. He was definitely impressed now that he was inside. "I was actually looking for an early birthday gift for one of my daughters. See?" Jacob pulled out his wallet, showing Argen a picture of his three kids and pointing to the oldest. She had olive-green, almost golden eyes, a pretty smile, and long black hair tied with a yellow ribbon.
Jacob kind of figured that Argen sensed he had a decent amount of money to throw around and would spare no expense when it came to his family, which was true. And he could respect his vigor for sure; Jacob's job was to sell things to people, too.
"Ahhhh I see! Tell me a bit about the young lady? What does she like? Is she into cute things? Going through a Goth Phase? Perhaps she's exploring a more artistic side of herself?" Argen Asks as he leads Jacob to the back "I have an EXTENSIVE collection of things. From Decor to Apparel I am in NO short supply!" He adds. Sure he's not buying for himself but honestly for some parents? No expense is too great! He is gonna be one step closer to his Hex Cult being realized!
"You know...I was in here to buy for Annie..." Jacob looked around the back room. "But you know, my younger daughter, Kelly" (he points to the grinning grade-schooler with the blue eyes and curly red hair), "she'd love one of these porcelain dolls. Annie is studying to be a veterinarian, so anything with animals would be good, I think. Or anything she can read. She would be more interested in the history, but Kelly would probably just like me to buy her something pretty." Jacob thought how happy Kelly would be to be presented with one of these antique dolls, while he knew Annie would treasure holding anything in her hands that another person from history had held decades or even centuries ago.
"Oh? Well I'm sure I got a few Animal Statuettes here that she may love, perhaps even some old nature journals from The Cloud Country (North America)!. And we'll get you a porcelain doll for the little one." Argen replies as he didn't even have to advertise. Then he wonder "Oh are we living the son outta this? Oh what about The Partner? I'm sure they'd LOVE to get something from the husband!" Argen asks. He's gonna get as many Gold Notes out of this guy as he can by the time this excursion is through.
Jacob couldn't help but feel a little like an all-day sucker just then. Wasn't he acting precisely like the sort of person he'd swindled out of their money back when he was a sales executive? Now that he was the CEO, his job was very different. Oh, well. Why not splurge for this? He never had anything nice growing up. He was determined that his children would have better lives than he did.
"Actually, my husband Richard is the one who would be interested in the nature journals," Jacob said thoughtfully. "He owns an apothecary sort of place. If you had any exotic potions or plants or anything, he'd love that. Tommy, that's my son, he would love the animal statuettes because he loves dogs. Annie would love them, too. And I want the most beautiful china doll you have for my little princess," he finished proudly.
Hook, Line and Sinker. Argen may as well just take the guys wallet right now! "Alright my Spendy Friend. Lemme just grab a few a things."
"For Little Tommy:"
"I have a Silver Dachshunds"
"Copper Dalmatian"
"And a Wooooo- Not that one!" He said before switching it out for a different one
"THIS Wolf statuette!"
"As for Annie...Oh wait a minute...What. A. Minute!" Argen says as he runs further back and pulls out...
"Might need to vaccum it a bit before you give it to her but I'm sure she'll love it hanging in her bedroom!"
"Oh wow! How thrilling! Take that strange creatures!"
Gaea has fun with the game for a while
"Why is the strange humanoid shooting out strange particles at the monsters?"
Argen Shrugs "We humans make alot of stories and characters to be in those stories. Video Games are just another method to story telling, what the story of this game is I cannot really say. I'm also far more into non-fiction" Argen says. Basically saying he really doesn't know why Samus Aran is hunting Metroids.
Jacob decided to buy a few of the figurines for Tommy and Annie, as well as the hanging for Annie. But he was disappointed that there was no doll for Kelly.
"Now for Kelly."
"I got these"
"This might be what you're lookin' for."
"As well as this."
"Now you mentioned that your Husband was something of an Apothecary? while I do have some old botany notebooks. Those might be out of date compared to what your husband could buy today." Argen says as he begins to pull out...
"Antique glassware!"
"Trust me I am OVERSTOCKED on the stuff!"
"And even if he doesn't USE em he can still them for aesthetic purposes!"
