OCs whose name/pronouns people always get wrong

Show me your characters whose name and/or pronouns people always get always wrong! Because we all know that's the kind of thing that happens, be it on the website itself (esp. forum games), off-site, or even in real-life! Are some characters of yours more prone to this than others, and why/how? And how do you usually reacts when it happens?

Chalcanthite dandikix

Well his name is long and consist of very similar syllables so it's understandable that people that are not into geology are not used to weird ass rock names and would misspell it.
I myself am guilty of constantly skipping the second "R" in Dorverst's name because it is very hard to say it out loud without it being just silent, that's why i usually refer to him as just Vert and heavily consider actually removing this stupid second R.

Cosmo Bird-brained

A lot of my creature characters, and they/them characters are seldom referred to by the correct pronouns. Many characters (and myself sometimes) are frequently called "he" by mistake, while just about all my characters are female (including myself) or effectively genderless.

Cosmo is the most frequently misgenderd character. She is not feminine in design, I admit that. But even with my feminine voice, and correcting people, it's inevitable that she is referred to in masculine terms.

Other honorable mentions are Gretchen (she/her, mistakenly called he), and BIRDFACE (they/them, mistakenly called both he and she, was nicknamed "Lady BIRDFACE", despite protests).

For pronounciation: Tyrande. Her name is inspired off of the WoW character and pronounced that way. I have said it many times in our D&D group, written it out "tie-rawn-duh", but there is this one dude who, even when I correct him, even when other players say it right, and even after he says it right once, will always go back to saying "tie-rawn-day" :(

April Mehta HAIRSPRAY72

April always gets 404s neopronouns ignored :[ I give a lot of my characters neos because I use them too and I like having that bit in common with them

April goes by she/ick/nausea/404 (+ emojipronouns that aren't on TH) so people mostly just use "she"

I'm not really affected all that much, I kinda get it that some people find neopronouns hard and it's not like they're wrong using she, I guess it just gets kinda annoying when I get a big long paragraph in response and it's just "she"

I find it happens much less to Bianca, and I think thats because Biancas first listed pronouns are he/him (Bianca goes by he/they/she/xey/ ) and I don't usually use "she" much when talking about xem

Core Mr793

I cry as people keep referring to them with he/him pronouns

sableward

i have multiple characters (most aren't on TH yet, so it hasn't happened here to the ones I'm on about) that go exclusively by they/them and constantly get misgendered.

one is a literal void lord. nothing to be gendered. still gets called he/him. :(

to be fair to that person they refer to me by they/them pronouns OOC and will correct themselves when they get it wrong so i really don't know.

radie aminta

people fuck up radies name all the time. they pronounce it like radish it makes me sad

Lumi_fins

Angel (He/Him), Elliott (They/Them), and Evelyn (It/Its) get misgendered a lot- Angel gets referred to with she/her pronouns a lot, Elliott with he/him, and Evelyn with he/him and she/her pronouns. Angel's had it especially bad because not only would people get his pronouns wrong, but there have been multiple times where he'd end up being drawn him super femininely; it happened so frequently that I had to put a big disclaimer on his profile about it.

 TBN VictoryDrawsStuff

Osamu on record get's misgendered the most. They are nonbinary (they/them) but people usually believe they are feminine (I remember one person thought they went by he/him) and while it's probably by fault for not including pronouns on the ref sheet it is on their profile-

Vincent O'Shaughnessy Quantum7021

Before Vincent canonically transitioned they were misgendered a lot- I haven’t tested it out again since then, but I have a feeling that now that most won’t use moths neopronouns now lol.

Sunburst Lavithetiger

"Im NOT a girl. Im just your average genderless phoenix cat. IM LITERALLY MADE OUT OF THE ASHES OF PETS THAT DIED IN A HOUSE FIRE. Im done with yall." -Sunburst

Just as they said sunburst is not a girl. Idk why everyone thinks their a girl. Its honestly just mildly annoying.

 Arjun (FFXIV) Nefere

They're nonbinary and only use they/them but a lot of people assume they're a woman and use she/her... which is fine for complete strangers who don't know the character I guess but when people keep doing it after reading their profile or after being corrected I just 🙄

Siddel feeblebeeble

Sid uses it/its but a lot of people default to he/him or they/them for it! IC I don't think it gets too bothered since it's still pretty masc leaning, but I get a little annoyed lol.

It does get a little miffed at people who insist on calling it Sie-del though.
