hmm, thread seems to have bugged, as fifth page was absent... anyway, just quickly posting here to un-bug it. i'll post my own character's stuff soon.
Is it a wide smile? Reserved? Is it toothy or is it all in the eyes? Do they have laugh lines from smiling a lot? Are they self conscious about it?
Are they hopeful smiles, or is there something else behind them? Are they self-conscious about their smile? Are their smiles contagious or are they awkward, kinda creepy when forced smiles?
Has your character got a full set of chompers, or are there some (or all, even) missing?
Tell me all about their smiles here :-)
PS. Not sure if this is a thread yet but here's a little character question for y'all.
Smiling is odd. To show joy and excitement I can move my lekku, as for imitating the human custom of smiling, I tend to show a lot of teeth
Crownie has a disturbing smile, you know they're up to something or already have when you see they like that---
Crownie has pointy teeth....and when they smiles, they eyes smile too!
Just like that: (I don't have a better image lmaoo)
Her mouth is usually closed when smiling -- as otherwise-- there is a (self) perceived reason to be concerned?
In most chance/realism; would be very self-conscious about trying?
Some of my other characters may have oral structures that can be seen as different, but she relatively stands out in terms of mentality/perspective.
*Cracks a warm smile until someone points it out.*
What? Â No! Â I wasn't smiling! Â I was, uh... Grimacing!
without the mask their smile is crooked and stiff
sometimes it's more like they're just baring their teeth, and sometimes it looks like a sneer
it's not really a sneer sometimes it's just because the muscles in their jaw are hard to move
but sometimes it is a sneer
and sometimes it's real and sometimes it isn't
and then they also have a little smile which is always real
