THE BAY SHAPER

Long before this time, and even a little longer still, ancient beasts roamed Ivras. Large cities and kingdoms were not known, instead, clusters of wild mages and peoples alike walked the earth in fear, peace and respect.

When the continent was young, it was said that three large beasts helped form the world. They were Bay Shaper, Stone Turner and Sol-Carver

The exact reason as to why these beasts exists is not known, how they came to be only theories. A more modern mind might say they were corrupted. Other schools of thought would say they were fully realised. No matter the reason, they were powerful, feared, and worshipped and respected as gods.

Bay Shaper was perhaps the most stunning, creative and shimmering of the trio. It was said that it was her skill, prowess and wrath that formed the rivers, that filled the seas and lakes and skies. She was loved by all for the land she nourished - and feared when she took it away with rages of water.

She had lived within the lands and memories of the people for a milennia. Only when more and more peoples began to question her decisions, did they begin to question faith in all gods.

As time went on, in the memories of the people, she slowly lost their favour. So to, did they slowly lose hers. Storms were frequent, floods raged on. New gods like Fortune, Grace & Destiny were prayed to for help. Some said it was from Fortunes maw that her blood be spilled, but Fortune always got a bad wrap. Some say Destiny set the people in motion...

Hunters near and far searched for the location of Bay Shaper, and when she was finally cornered, just of the coast of Nymene, the beast was slain - her body washing to the shore.

Her blood sat atop the water like slick, black irridescent blood stained the land forever. Some said it was this blood that gave the people fire, after all, they had long forgotten and slain Sol-Carver too.

To only a few her memory remained, but for the land and stars, her life was marked forever more in the inky reaches of space and the ebon sands of The Stretch.
