🐾 Hot Paws Season [Over!]

Hot Paws Season is an annual tradition from Villa Isle that bled into Fliptide shortly after. It's a sort of "gift tag" where participants will give surprise presents to random others. The receivers of the gifts are then "it" and, if they want to play along, should get or make a present for themselves to gift-bomb somebody else with! (No tag-backs >:v) As it came from the isle, this holiday had its start being soft and sweet. Fliptide, however, has no chill as a general rule. Locals often enjoy surprise attacking their victims, darting around as if someone's going to try and stop them, and sometimes even chucking gifts at the unsuspecting. The two sister areas are an interesting blend of calm and on a wild energy high... Watch your back out there and get some little party favors ready in case you get got!

Draw or write about your keke/PC participating in the holiday : ) Below are some prompts which you may use, draw inspiration from, or totally ignore!

🌿 Does your character wait to be gift-bombed or do they take things into their own hands and attack others first?
🌿 Does your character have some sort of reservations about receiving a gift? What do they do about it?
🌿 What would your character pass out as gifts? Party favors or more personal endeavors?
🌿 Is your character more of the kind, quiet giving type or the rambunctious surprise attack type?
🌿 Does your character receive a gift they particularly like? Particularly... don't like...?
🌿 Tag-backs - or gifting the person who just gifted you - are generally considered against the spirit of the game, as they can result in an endless loop. Still, some recipients will make an extra present to give to their gifter! Does your character pass out or receive any of these bonus prizes?
🌿 Your character received a particularly large or extra small gift! What's inside?
🌿 Your character found a gift for them lying around and it's from someone anonymous! What's inside? What do they do? Who could the secret gifter be?

🧅 Draw/write 400 words about your keke/PC participating in (or avoiding) Hot Paws Season
🧅 Drawn entries must be a minimum of a fully colored fullbody with a simple background. Shading is optional
🧅 NPCs or Punkin can be used in place of your own characters
🧅 You may enter as many times with as many keke as you like!
🧅 Entries go in the Event Entries folder or the drop-off thread!

⚠️🌾 Post your entries to the TH roll thread or in the comments of the DA journal announcing this event to see what your prize will be! (If you roll an alchemist's potion, you can also ask for the results of that in the same place)
🌾 Pieces can technically be posted to these threads at any time, but it's much preferred (by me, lol) that they're posted within the timeline of the event. Don't beat yourself up if you forget or you're using an exception day, though!
🌾 Rewards are random and you have an equal chance of receiving each one
🌾 Entries are rolled per piece and NOT per keke/PC! This isn't usually the case, so make sure this doesn't get ya!
🌾 That said, drawn pieces can be divided with bars to "break" them into multiple entries like this (which would be 3 hypothetical rolls). You can do this sort of thing by dividing writing as well as long as the prompt is fulfilled in each section

🍃 1 > Half-finished egg: This egg is still a rock, though it's been marked with the breeding symbol... Some parents have already put energy into it, leaving it as a partially-complete mix. Maybe it'll still manage to convert into an egg...? This egg can hatch into any kind of mixed Snakekey! (You pick which kind!) Note: when breeding and you roll a mix, it does not equal having this egg
🌲 2 > Hourglass dust: Allows you to create year/season/month-locked (etc) character breeds out of season! For example, Zenith and Equinox Snakekeys. With this, you could make an October Nox in June if you so desired!
🍃 3 > Alchemist's potion: Gives one random upgrade rolled by the mods. Note the group or comment on the potion's comment section to see what you'll get!
🌲 4 > Baby in a basket: What's this...? You'll have to peek to find out... This item can be used to create any kind of hybrid! (You pick which kind!) Note: when breeding and you roll a hybrid, it does not equal having this item
🍃 5 > Straightforward manual: Apply one simple tier upgrade to any one of your Snakekeys/PCs without having to do the prompt or earn the required stars

🥪 1 > Vile vial: Something about this turns your stomach... Force a clutch to roll at least 1 risk upgrade. You can specify in your breeding form how many babies should roll risk
🌻 2 > Neighborly pie: It looks like it's green-flavor. Allows a keke/PC to apply one social upgrade without having to be part of a guild or have the correct faction count (Note: This isn't useful yet - hang in there! :) )
🥪 3 > Not-quite egg: This thing is... peculiar... This egg can hatch into any kind of demi Snakekey! (You pick which kind!) Note: when breeding and you roll a demi, it does not equal having this egg
🌻 4 > Curious footpath: There are some markings left on the ground! Surely following them will lead to the meeting of an... interesting stranger. This item can be used to create any kind of gamma PC! (You pick which kind!) Note: when breeding and you roll a gamma, it does not equal having this item
🥪 5 > Learner's pamphlet: Up a keke's (or relevant species') pouch level by one without having to do the required piece

🍃 Veto MYOs 🍃

🌿 When posting your art for rolls, state something along the lines of not wanting MYO items and those things will be replaced with something from this list instead! This can be as simple as "veto" or "no babies"
🌿 Specifically, the half-finished egg, baby in a basket, not-quite egg, and curious footpath will not be pulled. Hourglass dust and the vile vial are not specifically MYO items and may still end up in the mix
🌿 Not all of your rolls have be vetos and not all of them have to be regulars. You can switch back and forth to your preference! : )

🔥 1 > Loose change: These discarded paper stars are hardly worth anything... You'll take them, though. Gives a user +10 paper stars to be divided up amongst their characters as is desired
🍍 2 > Ancient reminder: Up the boost level of a behemoth keke by one. For example, if used on a Fafnir, that Nir would be able to add one new, free ascended upgrade to their share arsenal. Cannot be used to surpass a behemoths "natural" benefit cap (if there is one)
🔥 3 > Black stardust: Turn an existing character into the Skytouched version. Already submitted applications do not have to be redone. Your character can receive this item at any phase in their life and you can canon that they've had it since birth or that they were born regular, became Skytouched later!
🍍 4 > Pouch booster: A deceptively savory creation that allows you to apply any desired castoff effect to a keke! (Or relevant species, if applicable)
