Reply With a Character and Number Question Game V2

Posted 3 years, 3 months ago (Edited 1 year, 10 months ago) by RadiantRaindragon

Update 21/04/2022: Just wanted to let people know that I don't actively monitor this game, so please PM me if any problems arise!

A while ago, I got permission from the creator of this forum game to create my own version! Most of the questions here are brand-new, though I also took a few from the original game because I liked them. The rules for this thread will basically be the same as that version. I recommend checking out the original, especially if you want to see examples of how people played it.

--How to play--

- Written below are two sets of numbered questions - the A set and the B set.
- Look at the characters of the user above you, and choose one that you're curious about. Make a post pinging the user (by writing @ followed by their username) and tell them the character you chose plus a few of the prewritten questions. (Example: 'I'd like to see questions A2, A5 and B7 with your character Frederick!')
- Once the next poster asks you some questions, edit your post to write your answers.

--Rules--

- This shouldn't need many rules, but keep the obvious things in mind - no excessively sexual, gory or disturbing answers, don't be rude, don't purposely skip people, and if you have a problem with anyone in the thread, PM me. Don't start drama here.
- Avoid asking more 'mature' questions (i.e. A7, B4) to very young characters, as this will likely make people uncomfortable.
- There's no specific number of questions you should ask, but in the interests of fairness and space, try to keep it between 3 and 6.
- After posting, wait until at least 3 other people have posted before going again. If over 24 hours have passed since the last person posted, then you can go again regardless of how many posts there have been.

Anastasia RadiantRaindragon

Hmm, maybe A9, A12, and B1 for Menelaus?

Thanks for the questions!

6. Things they don't like talking about

Her upbringing would be one thing. Not because of anything traumatic, but simply because she considers it incredibly boring, almost shameful; her mother constantly tried to teach her light magic despite Ana being drawn to the idea of powerful, offensive spells from an early age. Most people assume she was raised in a family of dark witches, and Ana is embarrassed to admit that she, in fact, grew up in a family of healers and do-gooders. She also dislikes talking about her feelings for her boss, Sargon, who she's madly in love with. She considers these feelings too intimate to let anyone except Sargon himself know.

8. Their worst failures/screw ups

Any time she lets Sargon get hurt is considered a failure in her books, as she's so obsessed with him that she borderline thinks her life is worth nothing if she can't protect him. At the end of her main story/RP, Ana is killed and her spirit sealed inside a rock, leaving her unable to prevent Sargon from following in her death. She considers this the biggest and most devastating failure of her life (although she barely had any time to be sad about it, as her spirit was thrown into 'true' death moments later).

2. Things they're proud of

Her magic, especially the spells designed to cause harm and devastation. As mentioned above, she was raised by pacifistic healer-witches, and is very proud of herself for leaving their 'weak' ways behind and teaching herself 'true' power. She is also proud of her heritage - being part-dragon and part-witch makes her not only powerful, but unusual. It draws attention to her, something that she craves. Basically, she's proud of anything that other people find admirable about her.

12. Inspirations or general thoughts behind their creation

A lot of Harry Potter went into her general concept, specifically the character Bellatrix Lestrange. Her concept and personality were derived from Bellatrix, and several of her often-used magic spells were inspired by Harry Potter magic - such as Excruciate, a spell that causes pain in other people, which Ana loves using.
As an additional random comment - Ana was originally created as an adoptable, but nobody wanted her fast enough to stop me getting attached, so I ended up keeping her!

Queen Titania LostPocong

P0CKETKNIFE How about A8, B2 and B12. Maybe B1 and B9 too, if you feel like it.

Thank you for your questions. Answers:

2. Insecurities

Let’s see… she doesn’t trust herself to handle animals. Also, she sometimes accidently breaks things because she underestimated her own strength and weight, which is very embarrassing for her. But her biggest insecurity is probably that she fears being exploited. Long story short: In her past, humans asked for too much and got snippy when she couldn’t keep up, and she was feeling bad about disappointing them too. There was some armed conflict, and fairies got hurt. So if anyone asks her for something, she fears that they are trying to exploit her.

9. Best way to push their buttons/make them angry

Vandalizing art or asking her for something are good ways, but nothing makes her more mad then messing with fairies. She doesn’t mind too much if someone get’s into a fight with a fairy, but bullying, harassing or torturing one in front of her is dangerous. And if she hears about anyone keeping them captive or enslaving them, then that person’s life is forfeit.

3. Personality traits they like in others

She likes friendly and polite people, she doesn’t need to be treated like a queen, but appreciates being greeted or thanked for her gifts. She also likes people who are smart or productive, or people who support their friends. She will also make an exception to her rule of not taking requests for people who want to help others, even at their own peril, which is one of the reasons she ends up working with Ace.

12. Inspirations or general thoughts behind their creation

Well, this is actually one of my older characters. The game I’m working on now is the forth ‘project’ I’ve planned, Titania is from the second, so she’s my second (edit: third, I forgot about one that doesn't appear in my current project) oldest OC after Sine (MC of the first project). I don’t remember all the inspirations behind her, two of them were A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Touhou. These are probably not the most significant, just the ones easiest to remember.

Thoughts behind her creation: A ruler who prefers building things over ruling, a (semi-)immortal being that has trouble dealing with boredom, badass fairies that can level a country. That last one is probably the most significant, in the project she is originally from, fairies were gonna be common enemies that look cute but are significantly more dangerous than anything around them, so of course they needed a strong leader.

HistoryAddict

LostPocong for Titania, A2, A9, B3 and B12?

okay this is gonna be a little tricky for me haha, i adopted them not too long ago so it'll be good for me to think about these things so these are definitely a work in progress

What it takes to make them cry: probably someone not responding the way planned to her sass response, weather she accidentally hurt their feelings or not
Personality traits they like in others: probably the fight that people have in them, and depending on the level, the actual sass within them-
Pets they've owned: I'm not sure she'd own any pets previously but i can definitely see her having a snow fox or a bird
How they show affection: in a tough love kind of way i think, where they complement you but you can decide if its a complement or a judgement, but if its someone they really care about they'd probably give head pats haha

Aspen sinthcircle

HistoryAddict How about A3, B3, B8, & B5 for Flower?

---------

Feel free to ask about any character!

---------

HHDJEJHFDHJ THOSE R RLY GOOD TY x')

B3 - Personality traits he likes in others?

Honesty & just transparency in general. Makes things easier on all sides, in his perspective

A10 - What gets him flustered?

Not a whole lot since he doesn't fluster very easily, but screwing up on something in front of others just about makes him die inside (even if he doesnt show it)

A4 - Fears/phobias

Aspen has a bit of an uncanny fear of letting others down, and also geese. Geese just freak him out.

Emily yanderechips

Floral_glitz how about Aspen with B3, A10, and A4?

Anyone except my unsorted is okay!

--

Salternate you are a savior than you for letting me develop Emily with an excuse;;

8. Their worst failures/screw ups

Emily's worst failure is letting one of her plants die on accident.

12. Worst injuries

Her foot was crushed and had to wear a cast for a whole month. Emily really shouldn't go outside.

5. How they show affection

Emily shows affection by giving a plant to someone, or if someone were to kiss her, she's kiss back. but on the cheek, as a treat

7. Ingrained habits/forces of habit

A habit she's developed is always looking back behind her to make sure nothing is happening behind her.

salternate

Claiming yanderechips! Hold up!

I'm really invested in Emily as a character! How about these questions?

A8, A12, B5, B7

------------------

I get to develop angry mom...as a treat.

A9. Best way to push their buttons/make them angry

A whole ton of stuff gets June angry! However, unprompted physical contact will easily get June annoyed. If you want June to get angry really angry fast, insult her wife!

B3. Personality traits they like in others

June really likes determined people! If they faced adversity and June considers it respectable, that person will gain her respect. She also tends to like emotional people more.

B5. How they show affection

June prefers sharing affection verbally when it comes to close friends and her stepson. With her wife, she does reciprocate hugs and kisses.

Zach RadiantRaindragon

For salternate - How about A9, B3, and B5 for June? She seems pretty interesting!

6. Things they don't like talking about

So many things. His family (he's insecure about growing up in poverty, afraid of being judged for his close relationship with his family, and afraid of potential enemies using information about his family against them). He also absolutely hates it when people bring up topics that he's insecure about, such as his height, relationship with his crewmate Jerald, sexual orientation, and any of the times he's come off worse in fights.

8. Their worst failures/screw ups

Zach has two incidents that he considers his worst failures. One is the story of how he lost his hand. Shortly after he became captain of the ship, one of his crewmates - bitter about not being made captain himself - assaulted Zach in the middle of the night, intending to kill him and take his place. Zach survived, but his hand was cut off in the scuffle. He considers this a huge screw-up on his part because he feels he should have noticed the man's resentment towards him long before it burst out of control.
The second incident almost involved the death of Jerald aaaand it was mostly Zach's fault, but I need to work out the details of that one...

3. Personality traits they like in others

He likes being around people who are quick-witted. A dry sense of humour appeals to him, though excessive humour can annoy him. He likes people who are calm and know how to keep their head in stressful situations. Determination, a mature outlook on life, and ability to be honest about emotions are traits he respects.

7. Ingrained habits/forces of habit

He tends to stand on top of objects (like a box or a rock) in order to make himself seem taller and more authoritative when addressing others.

12. Inspirations or general thoughts behind their creation

Funnily enough, Zach was based on an older character of mine called Larrus, who was a similarly short-tempered, brooding man with a hook hand. :') There's also a bit of Captain Hook in both of them, I'd imagine, since I love Peter Pan.

Dinlos

RadiantRaindragon Zack (because I'm a sucker for pirates) and A6, A8, B3, B7 and B12

Ah sweet Elliat! Here we go!
It’s pronounced like “Ellie-at” (the name and the preposition) :D

5. Physical scars

Elliat doesn’t have physical scars. He’s built stronger than an average human so it’s not easy to leave a mark on him.  Though if something does leave a mark it’s there for good since he heals slowly and any deeper scar won’t fade away ever.

8. Their worst failures/screw ups
Due to his shy and worrying nature he tends to think every screw up is the worst. He failed quite often to do his job when he was first put into a human body, something people around him understood and didn’t really hold it against him. Elliat though blamed himself on everything and was very discouraged by the failures. He still tries to make amends by working twice as hard and being extra careful not to make mistakes anymore. It seems to be difficult for him to understand that errors are actually very humane and happen to everyone, even to the best of the best.

9. Best way to push their buttons/make them angry?
He is quite hard to anger, since he often considers himself as an observer. However mindless violence and provoking the others just because make him very frustrated. He’s also easily annoyed if people yell at each other or someone is stubborn out of principal.  Even when he’s mad Elliat is not very scary nor does he stay angery for long.

7. Ingrained habits/forces of habit
He has a bad habit of overthinking everything and when he over thinks he ends up making things worse to himself. He bites the end of his pen and slurps his drinks very loudly.
