Illanya Mariold HardyLark

(ALSHKSHS that was great omgg, there wasn’t much aside from the otamatones, she’s more just saying he can continue to show her around lol.)

She just really wanted to see the otamatone lmaooo

"I must admit, I'm not really a musician in any capacity, but I've always admired those who have that talent." The knight says with a smile, tilting her head to the modest collection of instruments in the room. Maybe it's not a lot of instruments to a collector, or a musician who's always looking for more, but to Illanya? His collection was impressive to her. It's evident in the awe she seems to show as she looks from instrument to instrument.

Most of these were somewhat familiar, though the mandolin- or perhaps it was more akin to a lute, those instruments were oddly colored, oddly shaped, or larger than she was used to seeing. She gently fiddles with the keys of his keyboard piano, minutely disappointed when no sound came out, aside from the sound of the keys being pressed. "This is like one of those pipe organs? Smaller for sure, but it doesn't play unless it's turned on, right?" The knight would glance up at the many buttons on the keyboard, staring and wondering for a moment which one was the correct one. Though the temptation was there to mess around with the switches and buttons she can see, it would probably be rude.

Besides, she can always ask Zen to show her how it works. For a moment, she wonders if she can ask to be taught, a more silly but nonetheless entertaining thought. The bards and musicians had always made it seem like fun, after all. The knight's attention follows Zen for a moment, before catching sight of the funny little instruments, all four of them. A smile crosses her face and for a moment, her desire to ask to be taught is overshadowed by round, music note-shaped instruments that squeak and squawk.

"Oh my gods, are these them?!" A shuffle and Illanya made her way over to the four little instruments, a delighted look on her face. "It's funny, I would have never assumed something that looked like a little creature right out of the Feywilds, to actually be an instrument." A gloved hand would reach out and give one of the otamatones a gentle squeeze. Its little mouth opens and a whimsical little noise escapes it and Illanya's smile widens before she starts to laugh.

"These are great. I'll have to see if I can get my hands on one sometime. I'm sure I know a few people who might get a kick out of this. Maybe you can help me out with that?" She pauses pulling her hand back, a thoughtful look on her face.

"Well hey, I know you mentioned you're always looking to add to your collection. Perhaps there is something from where I'm from I can get for you? In exchange for an otamatone and ummm maybe some lessons, I can see about getting you an instrument you're looking for!" The knight says cheerfully stepping back to look at Zen excitedly.

"Of course, it doesn't need to be right now, I'd still like to see what you wanted to show me, after all!"

(Ahaha 👀)

The knight makes a bit of a face at Isolde’s insistence. Once again, an insistence to rest from the composer. Her concern was appreciated but she still had a job to do. Propriety to keep up with. Even so, she would tap her chest politely and bow, following the others directions, as she promised her uncle she would.

A bewildered frown crosses the knight’s face as she ushered to a chair, though it was probably best Isolde had sat her down, otherwise she might have tried to stand behind the composer dutifully. Once seated, though she’d try to get back up to work, the entity’s hard gaze and the water kept her in the seat. The knight is tentative as she drinks, still stiffly at attention for a solid little while before she starts to ease, throwing a furtive smile at the waiter as he passes.

“Once again, Lady Blacach. You are too kind to a simple knight like me. Though your thoughtfulness is appreciated nonetheless.” She eventually says, easing in her chair with a sigh. “I do try my best to take care, I promise, these summer months are not as kind to the knights and armor. I will attempt to be more vigilant with it in the future.” While the words can just as easily be empty words to ease the composer’s worries, she was right. Would be most troublesome to keel over while working.

The knight nods at Isolde, humming at her to continue with her question. It’s as Illanya takes a drink that the blasted man’s name comes up and there is a short choking snort as the knight inhales the water in her cup and begins to cough.

Her expression is one of surprise and embarrassment, the flush in her cheeks saying as much. It takes a moment for the knight to compose herself,

“Ah, um, excuse me, inhaled a bug.” She says lamely, still clearing her throat as she thinks through her options from here. Well, partial honestly could work.

“I am familiar. I have been assigned to deliver Mr. Passacaille messages from time to time, and have assisted him a few times while he was here.” She explains in a calm and clipped manner, setting the glass down and folding her gloved hands in front of her.

“I couldn’t say much about the man, aside from perhaps he enjoys a little too much teasing those around him, I suppose.” Her voice does get some inflection back, irritation to match the embarrassment twinging through. She shakes her head and smiles nervously.

“Ah, my apologies, I should not be a gossip, especially about Arlin’s guests, forget I said anything.”

(LWHEODH I think that the feeling for both Isolde and Illanya on that front is mutual 🤝)

"So you know how to cook, too. You're just full of surprises," Allegro mused while peeking over the composer's shoulder. He kissed her temple then rested his chin on her shoulder. "It smells nice; spicy. I've never cooked, myself. I never needed to learn, and, admittedly, it's far less interesting to me than watching the butterflies migrate." Which would be soon, he realized.

Moving to the other side of the prepping counter, the prince observed the ingredients. There were some here he couldn't identify. Would it be okay to eat them as is? Would he end up liking them as much as his brother liked raw onions? He couldn't tell if the idea intrigued him or frightened him.

"What's your favorite dish to eat? I'm partial to osso buco with a spicy infusion, one I'm not sure how the cooks can pull off. If I know what your favorite is, though, maybe I'll find that much needed motivation to learn how to cook. Or perhaps I can find a talented teacher?" he smirked. He decided to experiment his earlier thoughts with a small piece of yellow pepper. Not bad, actually.

"How is your latest composition going, by the way? You're expected to perform it towards the end of the year, right?"

Manslaughter Vapor

There he was, the prince, the most handsome allergy medicine alive. Manslaughter knew vaguely of who he was -- not that he was a prince, but most certainly that there was something about him, traipsing so rebelliously throughout towns and cities, always without a care in the world. And what did Manslaughter have with her?

..Ignore that! Manslaughter slunk along the shadows, keeping her eyes on Allegretto and stalking, stalking, sneaking. All that got boring after a while. How was she to get what she wanted if she stayed waiting for the right moment? Of course, what she wanted was McDonald's. Maybe she could have begged and screamed at the one gangster to treat her, but she knew that wasn't possible. It was better to go after softer prey.

No longer did she hesitate. The girl emerged from an alleyway. Broad daylight, witnesses all around, and she drew cold metal from the pocket of her dirty hoodie. And pointed the glock right at Allegretto.

"You! Rich! Bitch!" she cried out, "Give me everything you've got, or I'mma put lead in your ass!"

sasha cynocardia

everything in sasha's head just kind of stops.

it could be that a flicker of recognition connects one synapse to another- you when you were two seconds from screaming and kicking and biting everything in sight at all times, you when you were wide eyed and insistent on being allowed to be undomesticated and covered in dirt, eleven and strongly considering severing someone's carotid, you know, normal eleven year old stuff- but mostly everything just grinds to a halt. whatever glass is in the gears splinters and they suddenly start to roll again. it's been years. hallelujah.

sasha blinks, looks at the dollar in their hand, looks at the dirty child with the cat mask and what they hope to god are koolaid stains though they're far too rusted to be anything but blood, also koolaid doesn't splatter that way, and then back at the vending machine.

"um." they clear their throat. "would you like some juice." they jerk their thumb at the vending machine.

there are many questions they could ask. "where are your parents" is by far the most sensible, but also may drag with it emotions sasha is not equipped to handle/does not desire to, right now, outside of a big corporate building they would very much like to see burn and are having a hard time restraining themself from personally and impulsively setting on fire. so another, far less potentially responsibility saddling, and far less sensible, question could be "why on earth are you covered in blood", which sounds reasonable until you give consideration to

the wheels in sasha's skull abruptly shriek and collapse again, in refusal of any more complex thinking. it was nice while it lasted. maybe offering juice is the way to go. maybe offering juice will prevent them from potentially getting mugged by a small child.

"also what's with the." they point to their face. "mask."

probably not.

np: i am begging you please don't be ableist. please just have fun. please

Noel Alkaev Vapor

Noel, always blissfully unaware, had... some things to worry about. He was wary to not overexert Sienna, but, well. Hey. At least she was getting that fresh air in. The woodland surrounding the cottage was dense, wrapping the cliffs in conifers and wild growth that reached to the older man's hip in some places -- but more importantly as of now was the darkness that enveloped both of them. Only stars glimmered overhead upon a sky that was completely, utterly black, without so much of a little tinge of pigmentation within or amongst the slender clouds.

"She always runs out." he uttered, swinging his lantern this way and that, barely illuminating the shrubs' edges, "Another one like this might just do me in."

Admittedly, he wasn't even certain what the girl's deal was now. Hell, it could be anything. Anger about her situation -- being drugged and stolen from your bed sure will do that to you -- or envy over Sienna's frequent visits or maybe she, as she oft insisted, decided to just be alone, watch the stars or catch fireflies, and then she would come back later. In a place like this, that... you know, that kind of wasn't the smartest choice. There were bears, wolves, and velociraptors lurking in the shadows. Sienna, surely, would be able to handle such animals, but without that knowledge, Noel did not let her leave his sight. The last thing he needed was two dead bodies to take home. And also having to write a long letter to every single person relating to her. Gods. Whoever they were.

He was quiet. In his place, cricket song and an owl's screech buried the silence, and a cool breeze brushed the tall grass from within they lurked.

After ten minutes had passed, Noel sighed. "Shit, you know the way back, it's just behind us." he told Sienna, "If you really want to help at all... you can get started on some beignets. I have what we need, I just -- you know, can't really do them right this second."

 Mary fizzelston

Mary sat at the edge of the field bed. Just barely in Noel’s sight of view.
“Are you feeling any better?” she asked him. His cloak resting on her lap, her hands busy with a needle and a thread. She smiled. “You made a nasty stumble,” she recalled. The smile froze on the edges of her lips.  Mary adjusted her gaze. Her eyes now tracking the white cloth of her tent. Overly interested in the seams she put there herself. Years ago. “Oh,” she said. As if she just remembered something. “Your horse is alright. She’s a fine creature. Very kind, too,” Mary said with a nod.
She then rolled the cape between her fingers and showed him the fabric. “I saw that your cape had a nasty cut in it as well, and I kind of went out of my way to repair it,” she said. Before presenting his cloak back to him. That smile slightly growing on her face. “I used my darkest threads,” she tapped with her finger and a tentacle on the specific spot that she’d stitched up. “So it's not as noticeable,” Mary explained. A small spark flamed in her chest as she talked. It had been so long since she’d talked to someone, except for her sheep. A human. Like her.
“How are things outside?” she couldn’t help but ask. Mary carefully shuffled closer. Still keeping a noticeable distance to him. “What season is it? What fruits grow now?” she asked. Mary leaned slightly towards Noel. “How many Gods do they worship?” she asked. Her gaze fixated on his now. “And how many do you still worship?”

 Mary fizzelston

Bump!

> Ieli exist. >Mary:

Mary looked up as Ieli called her fascinating. She couldn't help but let out a soft snicker.  “Says who,” she bounced back. Mary smiled, one of her tentacles gently wrapped itself around her wrist. “I’m not often visited by an extension of the element fire,” she said. Mary pursed her lips. “Or anyone, actually.”
She placed her hands on her hips and with her lips still curled, Mary looked around. The Meadow was as you expected it to be. Cold, misty and abandoned. “That’s the trick of this place,” she told Ieli. “It’s ever… Shifting? I’m not really sure how to explain it, but. It’s hard to keep track of and to remember things here,” she said. Mary tapped her temple. “ Even for me! Sometimes it lures people here, sometimes you stumble upon it,” she shrugged. “This place…It’s different for everyone.”
Mary paused. She looked Ieli over as he explained himself, then frowned. For a second, the tentacles around her neck curled. Mary briefly looked at her hands. Clean hands. Clean nails. Draped with tentacles.
What if more people saw her, in that other way. The way Ieli described... Mary followed his gaze towards her sheep and let out another soft laugh. “Living things ‘nd my sheep apparently,” she complemented. Mary slowly folded her hands into fists again, before easing them again and placing them back on her hips. “Hu! Yes, that seems fitting,” she admitted softly under her breath. “I wasn’t always like this, I was human. Just human,” she said. Mary frowned. Her hands slightly pinched her sides. “But things happened. Now… I’m connected with this place and this place with me.” The strength in her hands increased as the other asked her what she was.
“I… I don’t know,” she admitted, defeated. “Sorry. The magic, at least to me, feels… Different. Not living like fire. Not controllable like breathing its…” She looked at the other with a frown. “Different.” Mary forced her hands to ease once more. “Uh.. Anyway, are you up for a cup of tea? I have some good black tea with me that I’d love to share!”

Ieli Carmes ZeCrazyAngel

^ ADSDFSG I absolutely loved that little pic. Also gave you a little follow up <3 I really like Mary and their interactions turned out surprisingly fun, I originally intended to bring Oz but now Ieli feels more fitting XD

"Oooh?" he mumbled, letting out a soft chuckle as he crossed his arm and scratched his chin "So you figured that one out, huh? Guess both of as have something fascinating about, wouldn't you agree~?" he grinned at her "At least this unexpected turned out positive besides the obvious fact that I was absolutely lost. Not something I usually enjoy to admit to."

He listened to her, actually more curious about this place "Constantly shifting?" he tilted his head slightly, placing his hand over his chin "By this you mean it's constantly changing, moving? Curious. It would explain why I feel disoriented."

After he had finished explaining himself, though he couldn't see her facial expression nor her body language, he noticed a slight shift of emotion through the wavering of her energy. Over the years, he had learned to recognized how those energy acts, even through emotions it moved differently, it looked different. It was a little useful when training the others to use their abilities, in a way he could see where their emotions were affecting their control. He remained silent and listened. He chuckled a bit again "And your sheep, apparently." he repeated after her with a smile on his face as he looked back one more time at the animals before looking back at her.

He crossed his arms as he listened to her while she explained about being human "Oh? Would you consider yourself bound to this place? That's curious, I wonder what could've caused that. But I can imagine it becomes lonely at times? The sheeps are nice and all but we all need a little bit of human presence once in a while."

He nodded as he listened to her "It does feel different from what magic usually feels like, at least to me it does." he scratched his chin again "Maybe it's like my element? It isn't magic precisely, but it's a little bit as if it was part of me. As if I was made of fire when I am made of flesh and blood like anyone else, but it grants me the capacity of controlling this element like an extension of myself. Perhaps it would be similar for you?" he asked, tilting his head again as he got more and more curious and fascinated by all this. He finished off with a smile before he chortled "Of course, I got some time to kill. After this I may try to visit once in a while if you don't see that many people, I may not always be able to but I'm sure you wouldn't hate the company." he smiled warmly at her.

(I wanted to try a little something with Ieli which revolves with how he see's her energy, I am still working on the how it works and I thought since she became a patron saint, how he see's her could be different from what he usually view people. But if ever something about it bothers me feel free to lmk and I can chat about it with you to see how it would work! I hope the post is ok ^^; If theirs any issue just lmk!)

Ieli hadn't felt as confused by his sorroundings as he did right now in a very long time. Viewing the world differently from what usual folks did, he could see the life essence of every living form, whether an animal, a plant, etc. And due to this, something about the mist that sorrounded this place disoriented him. He could still see various essence, but the mist's flodded the area to a point he couldn't tell where he was. He hadn't felt this lost in a long time.

He finally decided to stop for a little bit, he felt exhausted and frustrated at this point. For once, he wished he could ask his son for help. He hated asking help, hated being viewed as incapable of doing things on his own, but right now he truly struggled.

It was when he was about to pull a smoke out that he noticed strange figures, the souls of dead sheep and will-o-wisps. For a second, he remained silent as he observed, it was the first time he saw something like that. He couldn't tell what they were by how he saw them, but the baah's did a good job in letting him know he was sorrounded by a herd of sheep.

And then he saw her, Mary. There was something about her energy that really sticked out, but at the same time it felt like all that mass of energy that the fog caused was all linked to her. At first weary due to his lack of understanding, the old man showed himself a little bit weary, on his guards, but it seemed that she was a lot friendlier as she offered help out of this place, and with this striking a conversation filled with one question after the other.

He chuckled lightly after a little bit "You know, you are... Fascinating." As he turned his gaze toward her, a gleam of curiosity in his eye "You know I.. I don't really know what's up with this place. I don't see people in an ordinary fashion, I see the essence of every living beings... Well..." he looked toward one of the sheeps "I think? Anyways, it felt like there was this type of energy everywhere, as if I was submerged by it. And then, you showed up. Sticking out. But it also felt as if their was a connection with you." He stopped for a second, slowly starting to feel as if something was hammering his skull. "Gods, I think all this confusion has worn me." He chuckled lightly, figuring he was maybe just exhausted.

He looked back at her "But where I was going is, you make me very curious. And I don't mean to be rude, I am just curious to know what you are. Is it some type of magic I've never heard of? A divinity?" To him it almost felt to the the point where she felt like one "Or perhaps something else?"

Ash Louis (Asher [Past]) denishdraws

Asher stared at them she took off her black sunglasses to wipe them up with a cloth and put them back again. is she seeing something or it's is real?

she sees a dragon on Ieli's back, she still cannot believe that she sees a dragon as a "guardian" ? she thinks that sea animals are already weird enough but fantasy animals are new to her.

Ieli noticed her and waved at her, she waves back the dragon on their back put an offer to her before the dragon finished his line she immediately reject them "No" said Asher

Ieli seen confused by her, "Ah sorry I was talking to myself" She laugh a bit

 Minwoo Gomji

denishdraws

As he held out her drink, he glanced at the customer, feeling familiar with their appearance. Where did he see her before....?

"Ah. Do you have a youtube channel by any chance?" Minwoo asked calmly with a smile on his face.

"You're Ashetar, aren't you? I've seen your videos before. Music too. They're quite nice." It's true that the barista was familiar with Ash. Browsing social media in search of common behaviors to blend in with the "norm" introduced him to various streamers and such. Besides, with Ash, she was hard to miss. Those shades and face mask stood out.

"Here's your drink. I look forward to your future content. Have a nice day~ ^_^" With that, Minwoo gave her a small wave and went back to work.

I WHEEZED when I saw this, tysm!! vv
