Your OC is in a haunted house with the one above

Posted 1 year, 9 months ago (Edited 1 year, 9 months ago) by Gomji

I don't think I've seen a game like this, but please let me know if it exists ;v; also idk why I'm IC, please ignore that

Your OC went to a haunted house with the one above them. Was it the ones found in an amusement park? A building legitimately haunted by the paranormal? Perhaps it was for a dare, a prank, test of courage, or just pure coincidence. Maybe they didn't even know they were walking into a haunted house in the first place! How would the two interact in such situation(s)?

Hopper Greene PicklePantry

Please lead him out, he's very scared

Thor muichiro

The floorboards creak beneath Hopper's foot and Thor glances over his shoulder at the younger man's face. It's petrified, wide and whiter than the very first snowfall in the north's winter. The entire house is only two stories, but there are about six rooms. He had heard strange noises coming from inside of it whilst walking by it; and apparently, those strange noises had been the young prince screaming for help. Though he asked how he'd gotten in here, Hopper didn't have an answer, and it seemed that he just woke up in one of the upstairs bedrooms. "You're going to be okay." He reassures, offering a smile before looking forward. There's an egress that leads to a dining room of some sort. Old, moldy, tattered and worn red curtains hang stilly over windows with small, pebble-like holes in them. There's a scent of mildew and general dirt, earthy and aged that almost makes him cough. This house must've been abandoned for decades!

He looks to and fro as they come across a cross roads of hallways. This definitely wasn't there before and the more they walked, the more it seemed they went into circles.
"Well," he sighs, turning his shoulders to face Hopper once more. The boy was still rigid. "See anything we can throw at those windows? Maybe we can get out that way."

@ NP: hes not easily scared, he is a good man to hold onto godsahashg

Diesel was clearly bored as Thor searched for a way out. He had his arms crossed as he followed the smaller male around. "See anything we can throw at the windows? maybe we can get out that way" Thor suggested "not a chance" Diesel answered immediately "Im not risking getting cut up by jumping out of a window, besides I probably wouldn't fit" He reasoned. A dead looking nun appeared behind Diesel in the flickering lights of the hall, he turned around to face her. Thor seemed a bit nervous but maintained himself. Diesel sighed "do you have a key?" he called to her. The light stopped flickering and the nun looked very confused "are you.. not scared?" she asked "no" Diesel answered "but a key would be helpful" he said. The nun groaned "what is it? the dress?" she asked. Diesel hummed as he thought "no, I think it would help if there were more spider webs, maybe some bloodstains, also sharp teeth" he suggested. she nodded "yeah ok, better luck next time i guess" she sighed and tossed the key. they left unscathed.

Žimer MegiW

Žimer was walking through the dark forest, seeking for a nice spot to sleep at.
Eventually he came across an house that looked like it's haunted, but Žimer really didn't care as long as it looked abandoned, so he enters the house through the window.
He starts walking through the old dingy rooms and reaches a table, lying down on it right away, curled up like a cat.
Not too long after, he hears someone enter the house, which made him wake up and looks around without getting up yet as he almost never feels like he is in danger, so he is pretty much waiting or who ever entered the house to come to him instead.
Room Žimer was in enters an odd furry creature called Diesel, he looked indeed very unthreatening to Žimer, so Žimer just calmly stared at him and diesel back at him. Maybe Diesel was also seeking for a shelter or an item, or perhaps he just entered this place out of curiosity, who knows.
Žimer was a creature Diesel has never seen before so he froze for a moment, not knowing exactly how to react right away.
After enough of staring, Diesel crosses his arms and starts acting cocky, probably his way to try and intimidate Žimer, but it's not working one bit.
So Žimer just ignores the oversized pup and continues resting on the table. Diesel noticed Žimer wasn't being aggressive so he lowers down his cocky demeanor and calms down.
But the rest didn't last long as suddenly they both hear something break in the other room, which made their heads perk up and look in the direction from where the sound came from.
Diesel was wondering what is that, maybe a ghost both thought to themselves.
Žimer's senses were tingling, it has to be a ghost, he can feel the aura, so he immediately jumps off the table and goes to seek for whatever made that noise and Diesel in curiosity follows him.
Eventually they both reach the room sound came from and look around, it was oddly silent...
Suddenly, the ghost that haunts this house appears and lets out a spooky scream to scare Žimer and Diesel, but... both Žimer and Diesel didn't got scared at all, which ghost did not expect, but after taking a better look at these two, they don't look like type of people ghost usually sees.
Before Diesel could speak and ghost do anything, Žimer suddenly jumps in front of the ghost, bites on him and starts literally eating the ghost bite by bite.
Diesel and ghost did not expect this at all. Ghost tried to escape but it was too late and soon enough he got fully consumed by Žimer.
...
Diesel was left speechless and confused, his eyes wide open, while Žimer just walked back to the table and continued to rest in this house that is probably haunted no more.

🩸🖌Aaron🩸🖌 Zinkyzor

Marciya and aaron entered the old mansion, the door creaking with a light puff of dust when closed. " ah, madame marcy?? Are you sure this is the right place??" His french voice echoed down the hall. Unsure, the two continued further in. Every once in awhile aaron would pause to observe the paintings on the wall.

" i could have sworn that painting didnt have eyes the last i checked on it..." aaron mumbled. Marcy turned to face him with a confused and put off expression. Aaron only shrugged. They continued forward into the mansion

Then aaron screached in terror " my god!!... that painting has horrible saturation!!" He frowned, marciya lightly smacked aarons shoulder " fine fine i wont overreact any longer, but how do we get that corpse out of the way??" He gestured to the mummified body infront of the 2, leading both to scream and run out of the mansion

Dudley Crabgrass PicklePantry

"Wow! So humans like to get scared by things? Really?" Dudley beamed as he walked around the decrepit mansion with the disgruntled teacher. He winced at a few jumpscares, but always laughed them off before looking at his even more disgusted friend. "Is this scaring you? Maybe it'll be the perfect motivation for your play!" He had no idea what a play was, let alone what a haunted house could do for it, but this was fun, nonetheless!

He turned just as a witch cackled at him, causing him to jump back and clutch his chest. After a second, he bounced back with another laugh, "How crazy! I wanna try!" He transformed into a pink version of the witch, to her confusion, and immediately attempted to scare Aaron with very loud and unconvincing, "BOO"'s.

The Magoria Twins (Fannie Magoria) duckjeans

Perhaps there was a miscommunication here.

When Dudley had told her about a haunted house he found in town, Fannie had practically jumped at the idea. As they were on their way, her mind teemed with imaginings of their destination -- a haunted house, how wonderful! Maybe poltergeists? Or something even more? Something I could certainly make a steal of! The smile on her face was infectious as she rounded the corner of the street -- but the tacky Halloween yard decorations were enough to wipe it right off.

The whole thing was an insult to her, a smack in the face, degrading to her entire career and her wallet, and she ensured that Dudley knew that as soon as they paid and entered. The dark hallways and poorly painted scares left Fannie bitter and unflinching, even as Dudley shouted and laughed. "What a drag. We paid good money just to walk through a cruddy building, and the only thing supernatural is the smell," she muttered, arms crossed. Her heels scuffed against the floor as animatronics popped up and shouted in canned voices. "It's not even haunted! It's just a rinky-dink house filled with these terrible Vaudeville actors trying to get unsuspecting dingbats to scream their heads off -- ugh, and calling them Vaudeville actors is an insult to Vaudeville!"

She spared a glance towards Dudley, sticking out her lip. The sight of him smiling at a gaudy mattress-sheet-clad ghost made a pang of guilt cross her chest. He was enjoying himself; who was she to ruin his fun? "I haven't a clue how you're enjoying all this, Mr. Crabgrass. I've seen far scarier, and besides, I don't even get scared of anything, nothing at all --"

Her comment is interrupted by the shout of an actor behind her, which is then cut short by the sudden swing of her umbrella in their direction as Fannie squawked in surprise. She sucked in a sharp breath through her teeth, grimacing, then peered back at Dudley. "Like I said. It isn't scary."

santiago clemente alvarez creatfran

Ever since Santiago had heard about the famed Margoria twins, he just had to meet them. It seemed to be a perfect fit. All of them were members of the occult, enthusiastic about the wonders of fortunes and ghosts.

And what better place to go than a haunted house - a place supposedly filled with otherworldly magic?

...Or so the necromancer thought.

First of all, Taz didn't go. Fannie explained that it was due to a recent fight. But instead of choosing to not go at all, she still expressed interest and used the haunted house visit as a reason to get away from him. Though there were bigger concerns ahead...

"Oh dear..." Santiago muttered to himself a few minutes into the trip. He noticed the disgusted look on Fannie's face as she observed everything around her. It was clear that she was thinking the same thing as him: that this was obviously all fake and inaccurate. It was embarrassing to think he could let another spirit medium down like this.

But he had an idea.

"Wait," he turned to the side. After a deep breath, he lifted his hand and chanted a powerful incantation. The floorboards shook and rumbled under his voice until a few undead hands started poking out, clawing at the ground.

Santiago looked at Fannie, who seemed to snap out of her boredom with an impressed smile.

"They will try to eat us, and..." he scoffed as a zombie crawled toward him, "I most likely summoned a ghost as well."

"But that's what this is for!" He summoned his butterfly scythe and grinned at the twin, both of them excited that the 'haunted' was put back in 'haunted house'.

BewareOfTheMenace

Claim

Finn was lost in the haunted house all by himself with no one besides him other than the wind and the footsteps. He was shaking very hard that he might passed out for how disturbing the house is.

"Hewwo, is anyone there?" Finn asking as if there's someone in the house. There's no answers.

With no other choice, Finn had to walk around the house until he's enter the hallway.

The hallway is full of creepy paintings and scary statues that somewhat staring at him, few lights, rows of broken windows, and such. Finn has no gut to go there but he has no choice so he start wondering at the hallway.

While he was wondering in the hallway, he encounter someone. Someone who is a human and his name is Santiago. Santiago is a necromancer who is also kinda curious about the abandoned house and he didn't expect that there's someone else in the house.

"Oh, hello there little child. What are you doing here?" Santiago ask the little boy.

"I dunno. I thawt it was a guud idwea that I am entewing the cweepy house and now, I peel scared" said Finn with how shaking he is.

Santiago calm the little boy.

"Oh, don't worry little child, there's nothing to be afraid of. I'm here with you. I never thought I have company while wandering in this such a place" said Santiago while trying to calm down the little child. Finn suddenly hugs Santiago and Santiago hugs him back.

"So tell me, what's your name kid? I'm Santiago" said Santiago to Finn.

"Finn" said Finn to Santiago.

"Finn, that's a cute name" said Santiago again to Finn.

Finn is happy about the compliment before asking Santiago.

"So, are we fwiends now?" Finn asking to Santiago.

"Of course Finn. Now let's get you out of here" said Santiago.

Now that they know each other, they continue to walk on the creepy hallway together. They walk normally while chatting for a bit.

"If I can ask, why awe you here Santiago?" Finn ask Santiago about why he's in the abandoned house.

"Oh, simple. I was curious about the house, consider that I'm a necromancer so I thought there should be something interesting in here" Santiago answer Finn's question.

Finn scratch his head before asking again.

"What's a necwomanfer?" Finn ask again.

"A necromancer is a person who used witchcraft or sorcery to reanimated the dead people. I came to his house because I thought there will be dead bodies in here and try to revived them as a zombie so I want to know what happen to them in this house" Santiago answer his question again.

"That's sound..." Finn try to said something to Santiago but can't tell how to describe it.

"Hardcore? Yeah" said Santiago.

Finn just shrugs. They continue to walk as nothing happens until Finn noticed something. Finn grabs Santiago's cloak.

"Santiago?" Finn ask Santiago.

"Yes Finn?" Santiago reply to Finn's question.

"Why aree the paytings turning wed and smile?" Finn ask again to Santiago.

Santiago is confused about what Finn's say until he noticed that some paintings in the hallway are smiling and turning red. Santiago was surprised to see this and took him one second to find out that the whole hallway is a death trap.

"FINN!!! RUN!!!" Santiago holds Finn's hand and they start running.

They both run as fast as they while the whole hallway instantly turn blood red (and yes, the whole walls are spilling bloods) with the paintings start to laugh disturbingly, eyes turning black with something spilling out their eyeballs, and statues are starting to fly and chasing both Finn and Santiago.

While they were running, Finn accidentally trips while Santiago stop and saw Finn lying on the floor. Santiago goes save Finn from the flying statues by using his butterfly scythe, attacking every last one of them.

"Go Finn!" Santiago yells at Finn to run.

"But I am not lewving yew!" said Finn.

"Just go!!! I'll be at the front door!!!" said Santiago while fought the flying statues.

Finn is crying and had no choice but to run as fast as he can away from Santiago. Unfortunately, the longer Finn run, the longer the hallway became. He try his best to run, run, and run until he managed to get to place that Finn got in the first place.

Finn headed to the front door and run away from the haunted house. He was sobbing and crying that he lost someone inside the house. He was standing in front of the house while crying badly.

"Santiago..."

(For NP, you have to protect little Finn by any means necessary)

Hawkes HardyLark

The little Harengon is just barely shorter than the child, Finn was his name? Hawkes hadn't the time to ask before he was asked (more forced really) to be this kid's chaperone. Had it been for any other event, he wouldn't have minded it. Hell, chaperoning a field trip into the jungle would've been better than walking through a haunted house with someone else's kid. It wasn't like he could abandon Finn either, though the thought did cross his mind as they stepped into the dark and creepy hallway.

"Look, they're just actors, so there's no real danger. It's just a silly little... activity." The cleric's voice had started off confident but had started to waver as they began to wade through some cheesy fake fog. He can feel his fur stand on end, as he clutches his staff tightly, eyes darting nervously around them. At any rate, the cleric is clutching Finn's hand in a furry vice-like grip. When a masked clown leaps out, Hawkes flinches bringing his staff up to protect himself. The actor would also kinda flinch away, their body language looking a bit confused before they back up a little. They didn't break character beyond that, cackling and hooting at the two and twisting their head and body in an uncanny way, whilst also staying out of range of the Harengon's staff. Hawkes eases a little, barking out a nervous laugh.

"See! What did I tell you, just a silly little romp through all sort of spooky decorations, nothing to be-" The sound of a chainsaw interrupts Hawkes, and any of the bravado he might've had quickly vanishes as he lets out a startled scream, and bolts. Still clutching Finn's hand tightly, the Harengon sprints from terrifying room to terrifying room, eventually coming to a stop when a worker wearing a bright shirt steps in the way, looking a little worried. Out of breath, Hawkes pants from where they're stopped, glancing to Finn, who now has tears streaming down his face. Fear is quickly replaced by guilt, and Hawkes' ears flatten. The worker is speaking to him now, asking if everything is all right. After a moment, the cleric gives a nervous smile.

"If it's not too much trouble, please take us to the nearest exit... I think we're both done for the night." He stutters, before the worker nods and begins to guide them out. Relief at not being in such a... frightening place, regardless of how fake it is comes quickly. Hawkes will have to make it up to the kid for cutting short this little adventure. Maybe ice cream? Something like that.

@ NP Hawkes is the type of guy who would sprint through a haunted house unless stopped by a friend. Screams like a little girl too.

Void Void_Lizard

The undead was grinning happily, enjoying every second. The rabbit-like creature had been convinced to tag along somehow, and frankly Void didn't know how it happened. Room by room the pair walked through, each with a different theme. With every actor jumping out, every flashing light, every twist and turn, a new sound from the Harengon. In his defense, he did well to compose himself before the tall, lanky creature leading him pulled Hawkes into a new section. Being intimately familiar with ghosts, ghouls, skeletons, and the like, Void was overjoyed to see what living folk did to recreate them. He pointed out gauzy sheets, power cords, a small smoke machine, and an audio error in the haunted house's long looping music track. Hawkes had started it first, pointing out a burrito wrapper an actor had left, trying to find something to take the nerves off after a particularly good scare.

The main event of the night came shortly after they crawl through a tunnel. The smaller Harengon is able to easily and swiftly make his way through, but the antlered taller-than-human druid following behind is momentarily stopped. Hawkes turns around when he senses he's no longer with his safety-buddy, watching the tunnel for Void to exit. His hair begins standing up when he squints and faintly sees the glow of the previous dim room through the tunnel, with no one to block the light. Spinning around, ears on high alert, he runs through reasons why he's now alone when he should have been followed closely by a friend.

Void's antlers must have snagged and he's still in the other room. He's just outside the tunnel in the previous section trying to figure out how to bend and twist to get through. Maybe he broke through the tunnel material and is between the walls? Maybe that, but he's snagged himself on the nails between the rooms' plywood walls and needs help?? Maybe someone even dragged the poor druid away under the guise of being a mere actor in a place you'd brush off screams and yells??? Before he could think of increasingly disastrous things that may be the cause of his sudden solitude, his ears pick up on it. A noise. Barely audible over the noise of the other rooms, the noise of the audio track blaring through the speakers in every room. A small clack and furred sound that no other species' ears would be able to make out.

Whipping around and readying his staff, the small rabbit creature is greeted by the eerie skull and faintly glowing pupils of a necromancer. He's leaning forward, staring at his smaller friend. The tension of the startle breaks when he cheerfully speaks up, mentioning they had a side door for people who couldn't go through the tunnel. The ghostly voice of the undead calls out there's only a few rooms left before damn near dragging the Harengon through sections filled with horror movie tropes, slasher cliches, and all the red paint the small haunted house could afford. Hawkes was sure not to lose sight of Void again, lest another reunion end with a swift whack and a sore skull.

After far too long, they finally made it out alive. Hawkes was proud he made it through the entire event. Frazzled by the ordeal, the rabbitfolk calmed himself before speaking. "Well, that was... an ordeal. Certainly enough for NO WE'RE NOT GOING AGAIN" he called after Void, who was already excitedly headed back to the entrance of the haunted house.

The Warlock fizzelston

"It's been a while since I last met a skilled necromancer," The Warlock said. He lifted the lantern in his higher, as he stepped in the abandoned farm house. The floor cracked underneath their feet, the wooden walls were damped. Undefined black stripes coloured the grain of the planks. The Warlock snorted. Even though he pretended not to be on edge, he was. The edges of his fur were pricked upwards, and his ears were constantly moving. He smiled at Void. "So, how are things in the necromantic field? Lively as ever?" he laughed. "Sure, you have a field trip with this place here," he said. As he moved through the narrow hall of the haunted place. Even though he'd seen any ghouls nor ghosts, the Warlock just knew this place was haunted. It was feverishly warm. Almost as if the house was alive and radiating its warmth upon them. The Warlock opened the door to the living room. "I am looking for the heart of this place," he said. His words sounded loud and unfamiliar in the big open room. The furniture, that was still in the room, had adapted to the heat and had begun to rot. The silk sweet odour of decaying wood was overwhelming, and the Warlock had to press his hand to his nuzzle. "It is a small porcelain doll. Lost its face, or so I've heard," he said. "The rest is yours. If you're even interested in worldly possessions. Everything is cool," he said. "As long as I get that doll."

With his mission established, he walked on. But unlike Void, the Warlock had little patient. With every step, his impatient seeped more through. His fingers itched, his eyes scanned the rooms quickly and rough. He even lifted furniture, kicked over a night stand, to find his precious price. The house started to feel more and more hostile, too. The walls started to creak, speaking in the words of the death, the Warlock did not understand, but Void  did. The heat went up. The Warlock could hear quick footsteps he'd never seen before. The sound of scattering bugs, the dripping of fluid. He paused, with a cushion he carelessly wanted to throw away.
"Can you tell the house we're good people," he asked the druid. He nodded towards the walls. "Surely we are good folk, right?"

--

Where is it, where is it?  The Warlock opened several drawers, his eyes quickly scanning a small table of the haunted place. Dust caked on the edges of his fingers, his frantic searching left marks on the old wood. "Hmpf," he replied to Lawrence's warning. "I am taking it slow-" the Warlock's ear twitched, and he lifted his head. Wearily, as some of his prey-animal instinct was still there, buried deep. "Shit," he said as he managed to avoid the attack this house cast on them. Still, some of the objects managed to scrape his arm. For a brief second there was fear in his eyes, but he quickly bit it down, anchored himself back in that familiar arcana that twisted and swirled around in his body and he nodded. "Alright partner. I'll be back before you know it."

Lawrence Winchester PicklePantry

It was rare finding someone else skilled in gun magic, so when the Warlock had asked for assistance with finding a magical object that could teach them both more about this magic, Lawrence didn't hesitate to accompany him.

Being one of his emperor's closest mage's, Lawrence wasn't a stranger to unsettling missions. He'd faced the frontlines of bloody battlefields, deserted wastelands, and even haunted areas such as this. The magic wafting from the walls was enough to make the hairs on the back of his neck stand on end, and he held his tome close and cautiously. Where he wanted to take his time and inspect every crevice, the Warlock seemed to move with a fervor.
"This place hasn't been disturbed in a long time," Lawrence observed. "We should take things slower. Too much disruption will bother the spirits here and possibly make them hostile."

As if on cue, objects surrounding them began to rattle. The floated a few inches off the ground then shot towards them. Lawrence was able to dodge with ease, he was sure the same could be said for his companion. Narrowing his eye and focusing, he could make out the magic surrounding a few spirits in the room with them. Opening his tome, ghostly blue revolvers appeared around him and aimed at the spirits ready to throw more objects at them. "You go ahead and find that artifact! I'll hold them off!" It would be good practice for a new kind of spectral bullet he'd recently learned.
