What role would the above OC play in a video game?

Just as the title says, this is a game where you take a look at the oc above your post and come up with the role they might play in a video game!

Here are a few things to remember while you're playing:

  • I shouldn't have to say this more than once, but please be respectful of one another.
  • Put some effort into what you're going to say. I'm sure that the other person will appreciate it!
  • If you're going to write something rather long, you may want to claim the post above you, just in case.
  • You can post once for every other three posts. If the thread hasn't moved in 24 hours, you may post before this.
  • NEW ** As of February 27th, please be sure to write more than one sentence. We want to see your imagination run!
  • NEW ** Also as of February 27th, make sure to give the character's profile a read - it helps in forming your assumption of their role! It also shows that you've thought about your answer, and everyone appreciates it. If there isn't anything to their profile and they merely have visuals, disregard this. :)

But how do I play?

  • Though this game might seem somewhat difficult, it's actually quite the opposite!
  • All you have to do is look at the above oc and come up with their role in a video game.
  • Here are some questions you might want to ask yourself if you're stumped: "Are they a protagonist, antagonist, NPC, boss, party member, etc? What genre of video game might they belong in? Do they have any particular movesets? Do they serve a special purpose? Do they do something special in-game?"

Here's an example:

  • Person 1: What kind of video game character would characterA be?
  • Person 2: They look really buff and strong-willed, so they might be the protagonist! I could see them in some fantasy setting, like a noble knight trying to save a princess or something? They look like they could carry around really heavy weapons, and can pack a punch, so I'd say they're the heavy-hitter of the team.

 Continuum Kolo

A simple fetch quest is given to the heroes: retrieve this object, receive neat reward, continue on main questline with a nice little boost.

Except that as soon as they manage to battle their way to the location of the object, it's impromptly stolen by Trivia. It's no hard feelings, she'd explain, but she needs this object for a different person, and well, she got here first. What was once a mere jaunt off the beaten path becomes a full-fledged branch of the story, chasing Trivia through previously-visited areas that now have twists to them - paths seem different, monster spawns are more powerful, and there's always a bird following the heroes, seemingly benevolent.

Eventually they return to the hold of an earlier big bad, where it's revealed they promised Trivia a cure for Swift's form and her hex if she fetched them said item. Of course, a la the typical story, they turn out to be a liar, and the team + Trivia + Swift team up to take them out. Trivia leaves the party right afterwards, but she does return the item and sometimes shows up later at certain points, randomly. She doesn't help the party, but has neat flavor text about whatever she's searching for and seeking at whatever location she's found in.

(i mean, this is operating under the assumption that it's prior to her becoming ~ghostly~ but. i hope it's ok. /sweats)

Belle ludo

I get two different vibes for Conti tbh!
When I first saw him I thought he could be a cute little npc that you could date in a cute dating game in unicorn land or something! From his icon he looks like a teacher to me, so he would be like the kind teacher that likes helping kids and stuff, overall a really cute character!
BUT when I read his page and stuff, I actually feel like he would be an enemy in a rpg. Like he starts off as this person you find in some random town and he joins your party ; everything is going smoothly and stuff but after some time, he betrays you after leading you to a cursed temple or something by making the party believe that something rly important to their quest was in there ! So he betrays them, steals their stuff and get further into the temple or whatever, and the party has to find him and defeat him before he summons a world destroying beast or something! So yeah, definitely a video game villain imo

Henrietta "Henri" Harperton Mochagatari

I feel like Galaxias, as cool as she is, would be most suited to being an endgame character? Like maybe the hero/heroine would hear that something happened to her, and that the universe would be at stake if she wasn't found, so they would go on a journey to go and find her again. And then, maybe once the hero DOES find her, they and Galaxias would team up to defeat the final enemy at the end of the game and save the universe together. ^^

Sol Nocturne

Henri strikes me as a character that would be in a mystery type of RPG where the protagonist has to find clues relating to a circumstance surrounding a persons death. Initially, the protagonist wouldn't bother thinking or trying to Henri on their side, as she appears to be quite apathetic and doesn't seem to be of great benefit for the protagonist. However, if the protagonist were smart he/she would think carefully and select Henri to be apart of their party because of her growing sixth sense. Although Henri may not notice it herself at times, she says things and provides useful information on what she feels through unconsciously sensing abnormalities around the protagonist, which can help greatly towards solving the mystery..

Kydex HEAVENDELUXE

Sol would be a pivotal npc in a really artsy, high-quality graphics jrpg type of game, that's really long and difficult to beat. He's a character that seems to play only a passing role in several quest chains and one that you probably can find in the background of places sometimes, with clever commentary..... But then as you get deeper into the story you begin to learn about the true depth of his power and he becomes a really crucial part of the narrative with his godly power and the introduction of the uncontrolled Skull Form.

 Faendal Sans-Ailes

Kydex seems like one of those characters in a JRPG like those in the Tales Of Series (Tales of Symphonia, Abyss, etc.) that you pick up in the middle of the story, and, depending on your actions decisions, and interaction choices with him, he can either end up staying with the group as an integral comrade, or end up leaving the party without the option to bring him back. ( Except he's one of those characters you're gonna want for the final boss, so if you lose him, you're gonna have a bad time LMAO ;; )

Renee Edison Eclipse-Draws

Faendal would be a Merchant in an RPG that would probably sell alchemy related objects. He would also have an additional quest once the game is progressing along. While not quite as engrossing as the main quest, it would be interesting and you get to learn some secret lore about the game, and you get a lovely discount on his goods after you complete it!

hotdog htespagheti

he'd probably be in an escort type game, like youd have to bring him back to his mother or smthng, or maybe an npc with a couple side quests

Alister Rorichi

Aaah Mephi strikes me like a type of that hard-to-beat final bosses with long dialogues and tragic backstories from some sort of jrpg~

Flora Highwater Fursecution

He'd be the mysterious boy who lives all alone that the virtual novel protagonist can't stay away from. Seems like he would be the love interest for the protagonist in some modern fantasy world, the story would probably involve protagonist trying to gain his trust. It would be a definite action slash love story slash fantasy type story. I know I'd play it!

 Custos Hasse IndecisiveAdvocate

Flora certainly strikes me as a character that wouldn't really have much part in the main story line, but will appear every once and a while either to tease the protagonist or just to show up to be flashy. However, she will have either a dlc or a series of quests after the initial story is finished though they will mostly be bothersome gathering type of quests that make you go against monsters at a higher level to need to grind or protected by those overly powerful where these items either help her grow in power or just for spells. I can imagine that after the series of quests is over that she'd most likely end up becoming a type of boss just to test out her powers!
